wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Erwerb des TYPHOON Acoustic 5.1 Amplified
Satellite Systems. Dieses Soundsystem eignet sich hervorragend für den
Einsatz an einer 5.1-Soundkarte oder an einem DVD-Player. Durch den
separaten Bass und die kristallklaren Höhen steht einem audiophilen
Hörgenuss nichts mehr im Wege.
Bitte lesen Sie sich diese Anleitung sorgfältig durch, um Ihr System optimal
anzuschliessen und aufzustellen.

Anschlussschema (siehe auch Abb. 2)
1. Verbinden Sie die Satelliten über die Kabel mit den entsprechenden Buchsen
an der Rückseite des Verstärkers, danach den Subwoofer mit der "Bass"-
Buchse, die sich ebenso an der Rückseite des Verstärkers befindet.
2. Verbinden Sie nun den Verstärker mit der Audioquelle, indem Sie die
entsprechend gekennzeichenten Buchsen an Ihrem DVD-Spieler oder
Soundkarte belegen.
3. Da das Gerät auch für Stereo-Audioquellen (Standardsoundkarte oder HiFi-
Stereo-Videorecorder z.B.) ausgelegt ist, benutzen sie für derartige
Audioquellen bitte den separaten Stereo-Eingang "AUX Input" an der
Rückseite des Verstärkers.
4. Bitte überprüfen Sie die Verbindungen nocheinmal sorgfältig und drehen Sie
sämtliche Regler auf Nullstellung, bevor Sie das Gerät anschalten.

Aufstellung (siehe auch Abb. 3)
Betrieb
Das TYPHOON Acoustic 5.1 Amplified Satellite System besteht aus fünf
voneinander unabhängigen Satellitenlautsprechern, einem Verstärker und
dem kräftigen Basslautsprecher (Subwoofer). Stellen Sie die vorderen
Satelliten (Front) neben den PC-Monitor mit einem Abstand von mindestens
70 cm. Dadurch erhalten Sie ein natürliches Klangerlebnis. Sollten Sie weiter
entfernt vom Monitor oder TV-Gerät sitzen, kann der Absatnd auch
vergrössert werden. Der Center-Lautsprecher sollte am besten in der Mitte
über dem Monitor/TV-Gerät aufgestellt werden, die Rear-Lautsprecher sollten
Sie in den hinteren Ecken des Raumes platzieren, so dass Sie in etwa in der
Mitte der Lautsprecher sitzen. Der Basslautsprecher kann irgendwo im Raum
aufgestellt werden, da die Bassfrequenzen sich gleichmässig überall im
Raum verteilen. Achten Sie bei der Aufstellung darauf, dass die Lautsprecher
im richtigen Winkel zum Publikum aufgestellt werden, um das optimale
Ergebnis zu erzielen.
1. Drehen Sie alle Schalter in Nullstellung (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) und
schalten Sie dann den Verstärker an.
2. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Audioquelle abspielt und drehen Sie die
Regler langsam auf, bis sie den gewünschten Klang haben.

1. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten.
2. Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeiten gefüllte Behälter auf die Lautsprecher.
3. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lüftungsschlitze nicht abgedeckt sind.
4. Nur im Inneren zu benutzen.
5. Wenn Sie ein starkes Eingangssignal benutzen, sollten Sie den
Lautstärkeregler nicht voll aufdrehen, um akustische Verzerrungen zu
vermeiden.

Function features
We are glad to recommend the TYPHOON Acoustic 5.1 Amplified Satellite
System, this unit comes with independent 5.1 channel amplifier and subwoofer,
producing effective deep bass with crystal clear and silvery treble. It is highly
desirable to build up a desk Home-theatre for multimedia personal computer and
enjoy the full surround acoustic production with dynamic sound movements.
Please read the manual before using the unit for correct operation of the
speakers.

Independent 5.1 channel amplifier, for convenient controls on the knobs
in the front panel
Specially designed internally, the amplifier can transfer between AUX and
5.1 input channels with ease, as the 2.1 and 5.1 channels interconnect.
Satellites are designed by Typhoon, carrying characters of exact
orientation and higher resolution
The independent subwoofer comes without power cable; you can place it
anywhere conveniently.
Ready connection for PC, DVD, VCD, CD players, TV set, etc., with audio
outputs.
As with full defence against magnetism, the unit can be placed beside the
PC monitor and TV set, without being affected by the magnetic waves.

Connection: (see drawing 2)
Connect the individual satellite cables to the “AUDIO OUTPUT“ at the
rear panel of the amplifier, then the subwoofer output cable to the
“BASS“ socket.
For 5.1 analog connections, insert one head of the audio cable to the
DVD player or 5.1 channel sound card, the other end to the “5.1 input“
port of amplifier. For 5.1 digital connections to DVD players, you need
to get the AC3, Dolby Digital, and DTS decoder to transfer to the 5.1
Audio output of the amplifier.
As the unit works with 2.1 channel sound card or VCD, please insert
one head of the stereo audio cable to a VCD player or sound card
port, the other end to the “AUX INPUT“ connection of amplifier.
Getting all the connections ready correctly with double check please
put the power plug to the AC POWER alternating current and power
on the unit.

Placing way: (see drawing 3)
TYPHOON Acoustic 5.1 Amplified Satellite System consists of an independent
amplifier, 5 satellites and a subwoofer.
The front Right and Left satellites can be placed at the sides of the PC or TV set,
they should be separated about 70cm, which will create a nature sound theatre.
If you're far from the monitor or TV screen, the space between the satellites can
be increased. The center satellites is placed in the middle to the front Right and
Left satellites, the rear Right and Left are placed at the back of the audience
about 50-100cm far from the speakers, it is best to have the audience placed in a
centralize position to the two satellites as much as possible, the subwoofer can
be placed on the computer desk or the floor beside the desk.
Please adjust the space and angle of the satellites carefully; it will assist to obtain
the desirable surround effects, producing the outstretched space feeling of in a
sound theatre. The amplifier can placed anywhere at your convenience.

1. Turn all the knobs anti-clockwise on the panel of amplifier to minimum
volume level, and then press the power button to power “ON” the system.

knobs to your desired listening level.

Branchez les satellites à l'aide des câbles dans les prises correspondantes à
l'arrière de l'ampli, puis le Subwoofer avec la prise de la « basse », qui se
trouve également au dos de l'ampli.
Raccordez maintenant l'ampli avec la source audio, en reliant votre lecteur
DVD ou votre carte son aux prises indiquées.
Comme l'appareil est également conçu pour les sources radio (carte son
standard ou magnétophone HiFi-Stereo par exemple) veuillez utiliser pour de
telles sources radio l'entrée stéréo "AUX Input" séparée, au dos de l'ampli.
Veuillez de nouveau vérifier attentivement les branchements et placez tous
les réglages en position 0, avant de brancher l'appareil.

Installation (voir également dessin 3)
Fonctionnement
Le système TYPHOON Acoustic 5.1 Amplified Satellite est composé de 5 haut-
parleurs satellites indépendants, d'un ampli et d'un puissant haut-parleur basse
(Subwoofer). Placez les satellites avants (Front) à côté du moniteur du PC à une
distance de 70 cm minimum. Vous obtiendrez ainsi un son naturel. Si vous
deviez vous trouver assis à une distance plus éloignée du moniteur ou de la
télévision, l'écart peut également être augmenté. L'idéal est d'installer le haut-
parleur central au milieu sur le moniteur ou sur la télévision, veuillez placer les
haut-parleurs arrières dans les coins au fond de la pièce, afin de vous trouvez à
peu près assis au milieu des haut-parleurs. Le haut-parleur de basse peut être
installé n'importe où dans la pièce, puisque les fréquences de basse se
répartissent équitablement partout dans la pièce. Lors de l'installation, veuillez à
ce que les haut-parleurs soient installés dans le bon angle vers le public, afin
d'obtenir un résultat optimal.
Tournez tous les interrupteurs en position 0 (dans le sens inverse des aiguilles
d'une montre) et branchez alors l'ampli.
Assurez-vous que la source audio fonctionne et tournez lentement les
molettes de réglage, jusqu'à atteindre le son désiré.

1. Evitez tout contact avec des liquides.
