TURNING INDICATOR ON/OFF
1. To turn the Indicator on,
press and hold the
ON/ZERO OFF button for
two seconds. The Indicator
performs a display test, momentarily displays
the software version and then enters the active
weighing mode.
2. To turn the Indicator off,
press and hold the
ON/ZERO OFF button until
OFF is displayed.
MENU NAVIGATION
TO ENTER THE MENU MODE
1. Press and hold the TARE MENU button until MENU
appears on the display. The first upper level
menu appears on the display. Summary of button
navigation functions in menu mode:
YES Allows entry into the displayed menu.
Accepts the displayed setting and
advances to the next menu item.
NO Skips by the displayed menu. Rejects
the displayed setting or menu item and
advances to the next available item.
BACK Moves backwards through the upper
and middle level menus. Backs out of a
list of selectable items to the previous
middle level menu.
EXIT Exits from menu directly to the active
weighing mode.
CHANGE UNIT OF MEASURE
SET UNIT OF MEASURE AT STARTUP
Set the unit of measure displayed at startup to g, kg, lb.,
oz., lb:oz or Auto (last unit in use when power was turned off).
1. Once in the setup menu, press NO
until the Power On Unit setting is
displayed.
2. Press YES to enter the Power On Unit setting.
3. Press NO until the desired unit of measure is
displayed.
4. Press YES to accept the new unit of measure.
ENABLE UNITS OF MEASURE
Units of measure must be enabled in the menu to select
from the PRINTS/UNIT/NO button.
1. Once in the unit menu, you may turn
units of measure on and off.
(See Figure 2)
2. Press YES to accept the current setting (ON or OFF).
3. Press NO to change the current setting (ON or OFF).

CALIBRATION MENU
Two calibration processes are available – span
calibration and linearity calibration. (See Figure 3)
1. Make sure that appropriate calibration masses are
available before beginning calibration.
2. Make sure that the scale base is level and stable
during the entire calibration process.
3. Calibration is unavailable with LFT set to ON.
4. Allow the Indicator to warm up for approximately
5 minutes after stabilizing to room temperature.
5. To abort calibration, press the EXIT button anytime
during the calibration process.
SPAN CALIBRATION
1. Span calibration uses two points to
adjust the scale. The first point is the
zero value where there is no weight
on the scale. The second point is the span value
where a calibration mass is placed on the scale.

2. When SPAN is displayed, press
the YES button to access the Span
Calibration menu item. The display
flashes 0.
3. With no weight on the scale, press
the YES button to establish the zero
point. The display shows --C-- while
the zero point is established.
4. The display flashes the span
calibration point. Place the
specified weight on the scale and
press the YES button.
5. To choose a different span point,
repeatedly press the NO button to
increment the selections or press the BACK button to
decrement the selections. When the desired value is
displayed, place the specified weight on the scale
and press the YES button.
6. The display shows --C-- while
the span point is established.
7. If span calibration was successful,
the scale exits to the active
weighing mode and displays the
actual weight value.
LINEARITY CALIBRATION
1. Linearity calibration uses three calibration points.
The first calibration point is established with no
weight on the scale. The second calibration point
is established at approximately half capacity. The
third calibration point is established at capacity. The
linearity calibration points are fixed and cannot be
altered by the user during the calibration procedure.
2. When L INEAr is displayed, press
the YES button to access the
linearity calibration menu item.
3. The display flashes 0. With no
weight on the scale, press the YES
button to establish the zero point.
4. The display shows --C-- while the
zero point is established.
5. The display flashes the mid
calibration point.
6. Place the specified weight on the
scale and press the YES button.
The display shows --C-- while the
mid point is established.
7. The display flashes the
full calibration point.
8. Place the specified weight on the
scale and press the YES button.
The display shows --C-- while the
full point is established.
9. If linearity calibration was
successful, the scale exits to
the active weighing mode and
displays the actual weight value.
ZERO OPERATION
Zero can be set under the following conditions:
• Automatically at power on (initial zero).
• Semi-automatically (manually) by pressing the
ON/ZERO OFF button.
• Semi-automatically by sending the zero command
(Z or alternate zero command).
Press the ON/ZERO OFF button
to zero the weight display.
The scale must be stable to
accept zero operation.
MANUAL TARE
1. When weighing an item
that must be held in a
container, taring stores the
container weight in memory.
Place empty container on the scale (example 0.5 kg.)
and press the TARE button. Display will show net
weight.
2. To clear the tare value,
empty the scale and press
the TARE button. The display
will show gross weight.
CHANGING UNITS OF MEASURE
Press and hold the PRINT UNITS button until the desired
measuring unit appears.
PRINTING DATA
1. Printing the displayed data to a printer or sending
data to a computer requires the communication
parameters are set in the print menu.

2. Press the PRINT UNITS button to send the displayed
data to the communication port.
APPLICATION MODES
Only modes enabled in the
mode menu are displayed.
WEIGHING
1. Place item to be weighed
on the scale. The illustration
indicates a sample of
1.5 kg., gross weight.
NOTE: To return to the weighing mode from
the parts counting mode, press and hold the
MODE button until WEIGH is displayed.
PARTS COUNTING
1. Use this mode to count
parts of uniform weight.
The indicator determines the quantity based on the
average weight of a single part. All parts must be
uniform in weight for accurate measurements .
2. To enter the parts counting mode, press and hold
the MODE button until count is displayed.
AVERAGE PIECE
WEIGHT (APW)
When the MODE button is
released, C L r. P W Pcs is displayed.
NOTE: If no APW has been previously stored,
the CLr.PW display is skipped and the display
shows PUt 10 Pcs.
CLEARING A STORED APW
Press the YES button to clear the stored APW.
RECALLING A STORED APW
1. Press the NO button to
recall the existing APW.
2. Press the FUNCTION MODE
button to temporarily
display the APW value.
ESTABLISHING THE AVERAGE PIECE WEIGHT (APW)
The display shows PUt 10 Pcs.
ESTABLISHING A NEW APW
1. Press the NO button to
increment the sample size.
Choices are 5, 10, 20, 50,
100 and 200.
2. To establish the APW,
place the specified
quantity of samples on
the scale and press the
YES button to capture
the weight.
BEGIN COUNTING
1. Place the parts on the
scale and read the count.
If a container is used, be
sure to tare the empty
container first.
LEGAL FOR TRADE
When the indicator is used in
trade or a legally controlled
application, it must be set up,
verified and sealed in accordance with local weights
and measures regulations. It is the responsibility of the
purchaser to ensure that all pertinent legal requirements
are met.
SETTINGS
Before verification and sealing, perform the following steps:
1. Verify that the menu settings meet the local weights
and measures regulations.
2. Perform a calibration.
3. Set Legal for Trade to ON in the setup menu.
4. Exit the menu.
5. Disconnect power from the indicator and open the
housing.
6. Set the security switch to the ON position.
7. Close the housing.
8. Reconnect power and turn the indicator on.

NOTE: For installations that employ the audit
trail sealing method, steps 5 to 8 are not
required. However, the security switch may be
set to ON to safeguard against unintentional
changes to configuration and calibration settings.
NOTE: When Legal for Trade is set to ON and the
security switch is set to ON, the following menu
settings cannot be changed: Span Calibration,
Linearity Calibration, GEO, LFT, Calibration Unit,
Capacity, Graduation, Power On Unit, Zero Range,
Auto Zero Tracking, Expanded Mode, Count Mode,
Kilogram Unit, Pound Unit, Gram Unit, Ounce Unit,
Pound Ounce Unit, Stable Only. To enable editing
of these menu settings, return the security switch
to the OFF position and set LFT menu item to OFF.
VERIFICATION
The local weights and measures official or authorized
service agent must perform the verification procedure.
Please contact your local weights and measures office
for further details.
SEALING
PHYSICAL SEALS
For jurisdictions that use the physical sealing method,
the local weights and measures official or authorized
service agent must apply a security seal to prevent
tampering with the settings. Refer to the illustrations
below for sealing methods. (See Figures 4-5)
AUDIT TRAIL SEAL
For jurisdictions that use the audit trail sealing method,
the local weights and measures official or authorized
service agent must record the current configuration and
calibration event counter values at the time of sealing.
These values will be compared to values found during a
future inspection.
NOTE: A change to an event counter value is
equivalent to breaking a physical seal.
The audit trail uses two event counters to record
changes to configuration and calibration settings:
• The configuration event counter (CFG) will index by
one when exiting the menu if one or more of the
following settings are changed: Legal for Trade,
Calibration Unit, Capacity, Graduation, Power On
Unit, Zero Range, Auto Zero Tracking, Expanded
Mode, Count Mode, Kilogram Unit, Pound Unit, Gram
Unit, Ounce Unit, Pound Ounce Unit, Stable Only.
NOTE: The counter only indexes once,
even if several settings are changed. The
configuration event counter values range from
CFG000 to CFG999. When the value reaches
CFG999, the count starts over at CFG000.
• The calibration event counter (CAL) will index by one
when exiting the menu if a span calibration, linearity
calibration or GEO setting change is made. Note
that the counter only indexes once, even if several
settings are changed. The calibration event counter
values range from CAL000 to CAL999. When the value
reaches CAL999, the count starts over at CAL000.
The event counters can be
viewed by pressing and
holding the MENU button.
While the button is held, the
display will show MENU
followed by AUd It.
1. Release the button when
AUd It is displayed to view
the audit trail information.
2. The audit trail information
is displayed in the format
CFGxxx and CALxxx.
3. Then the indicator returns
to normal operation.

CAUTION! Disconnect the unit from
the power supply before cleaning. CLEANING
• The housing may be cleaned with a cloth
dampened with a mild detergent if necessary.
• Do not use solvents, chemicals, alcohol, ammonia
or abrasives to clean the housing or control panel.

NOTE: Before using the indicator for the first time, the internal rechargeable battery should be fully
charged for 12 hours. The indicator can be operated during the charging process. The battery is
protected against overcharging and the indicator can remain connected to the AC power line.

ENCENDER/APAGAR EL INDICADOR
1. Para encender el
indicador, mantenga
oprimido el botón ON/
ZERO OFF (Encendido/
Cero - Apagado) durante
dos segundos. El indicador realizará una prueba de
pantalla, mostrará momentáneamente la versión
del software e ingresará al modo de pesaje activo.

MENÚ DE CALIBRACIÓN
Hay dos procesos de calibración disponibles –
calibración de intervalo y calibración de linealidad.
(Vea Diagrama 3).
1. Asegúrese de que las pesas de calibración
apropiadas están disponibles antes de comenzar
con la calibración.
2. Asegúrese de que la base de la báscula esté nivelada
y estable durante todo el proceso de calibración.
3. La calibración no está disponible cuando LFT esté
configurado en posición ON (Encendido).
4. Permita que el indicador se caliente durante

CALIBRACIÓN DE LINEALIDAD
1. La calibración de linealidad usa 3 puntos de
calibración. El primer punto de calibración se
determina cuando no hay peso colocado en la
báscula. El segundo punto de calibración se determina
a aproximadamente la mitad de la capacidad.
El tercer punto de calibración se determina a la
capacidad total. Los puntos de la calibración de
linealidad son fijos y no pueden ser alterados por el
usuario durante el procedimiento de
calibración.

presione el botón YES (Sí) para
acceder al elemento de menú
Calibración de linealidad.
3. En la pantalla parpadeará un 0.

FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL CERO
El cero se puede configurar en las siguientes situaciones:
• Automáticamente al encender (cero inicial).
• Semiautomáticamente (manualmente) presionando
el botón ON/ZERO (Encendido/Cero) / OFF (Apagado)
• Semiautomáticamente
seleccionando el
comando de cero (Z o
comando de cero alternativo).
Presiona el botón ON/ZERO (Encendido/Cero) OFF (Apa-
gado) para poner la pantalla indicadora de peso a
cero. La báscula deberá estar estable
para aceptar la operación de
cero.
TARA MANUAL
1. Al realizar el pesaje de un artículo que debe estar
en un contenedor, la tara almacena el peso del
contenedor en la memoria. Coloque el contenedor
vacío en la báscula (ejemplo
0.5 kg) y presione el botón
TARE (Tara). La pantalla
mostrará el peso neto.
2. Para eliminar el valor de
tara, vacíe la báscula y
presione elbotón TARE (Tara).
La pantalla mostrará el peso
bruto.
CAMBIAR LAS UNIDADES DE MEDIDA
Mantenga presionado el botón PRINT UNITS (Imprimir Unidades)
hasta que aparezca la unidad de medida deseada.
IMPRIMIR DATOS
1. Imprimir los datos mostrados en una impresora o
enviar los datos a una computadora requiere que
se establezcan los parámetros de comunicación en
el menú de impresión.

El indicador determina la

2. Para acceder al modo de conteo de piezas,
mantenga presionado el botón MODE (Modo) hasta

CONFIGURACIONES

innecesarios los pasos del 5 al 8. Sin embargo,
el interruptor de seguridad puede ponerse en
la posición ON (Encendido) para proteger la
configuración y los parámetros de calibración
contra cambios no intencionales.
NOTA: Cuando la opción Legal for Trade (Legal
para uso comercial) esté en ON (Encendido)
y el interruptor de seguridad esté en ON
(Encendido), no podrán modificarse las siguientes
configuraciones de menú: Calibración de
intervalo, calibración de linealidad, GEO, LFT,
unidad de calibración, capacidad, graduación,
power on unit (Unidad de Encendido), rango
cero, seguimiento de cero automático, modo
ampliado, modo de conteo, unidad de kilogramo,
unidad de libra, unidad de gramo, unidad de
onza, unidad de onza de libra, solo estable. Para
poder editar estas configuraciones de menú,
vuelva a colocar el interruptor de seguridad en la
posición OFF (Apagado) y ponga el elemento de
menú LFT en posición OFF (Apagado).
VERIFICACIÓN
La autoridad local de pesos y medidas o un agente de
servicio autorizado debe llevar a cabo un procedimiento
de verificación. Comuníquese con su oficina de pesos y
medidas locales para obtener detalles adicionales.
SELLADO
SELLOS FÍSICOS
Para las jurisdicciones que utilizan el método de sellado
físico, el director local de pesos y medidas o un agente de
servicio autorizado debe colocar un sello de seguridad
para evitar la manipulación de las configuraciones.
Consulte las ilustraciones que se muestran a continuación
para ver los métodos de sellado. (Vea Diagramas 4 y 5)
SELLO DE REGISTRO DE EVENTOS
Para las jurisdicciones que utilizan el método de sellado
de registro de eventos, el funcionario local de pesos
y medidas o un agente de servicio autorizado debe
registrar los valores de configuración y de contador de
eventos de calibración actuales en el momento del
sellado. Estos valores se compararán con los hallados
en una inspección futura.
NOTA: Realizar un cambio en el valor de un contador
de eventos es equivalente a romper un sello físico.
El registro de eventos utiliza dos contadores de eventos
para registrar los cambios en la configuración y los
parámetros de calibración:
• El contador de eventos de configuración (CFG) indexará
sumando uno al salir del menú si se cambian una o
más de las siguientes configuraciones: Legal para
uso comercial, unidad de calibración, capacidad,
graduación, Power On Unit (Unidad de Encedido), rango
cero, seguimiento de cero automático, modo ampliado,
modo de conteo, unidad de kilogramo, unidad de libra,
unidad de gramo, unidad de onza, unidad de onza
de libra, solo estable.
NOTA: Tenga en cuenta que el contador solo
indexará una vez, incluso si se cambian varias
configuraciones. Los valores del contador de
eventos de calibración tienen un rango de
CFG000 a CFG999. Cuando el valor alcanza
CFG999, el conteo comienza de nuevo en CFG000.
• El contador de eventos de calibración (CAL) indexará
sumando uno al salir del menú si se realizan cambios
en la configuración de calibración de intervalo,
calibración de linealidad o GEO. Tenga en cuenta
que el contador solo indexará una vez, incluso si
se cambian varias configuraciones. Los valores del
contador de eventos de calibración tienen un rango

1. Pour allumer l'indicateur,

MENU DE NAVIGATION
POUR ACCÉDER AU MENU
1. Maintenez la touche TARE MENU enfoncée jusqu'à
ce que MENU apparaisse à l'écran. Le premier
niveau supérieur du menu s'affiche. Fonctions des
touches du menu de navigation:
YES Permet la saisie dans le menu affiché.
Accepte le paramètre affiché et
accède à l'élément suivant du menu.
NO Saute le menu affiché. Refuse
le paramètre affiché ou l'élément du
menu et accède à l'élément disponible

BACK Recule dans les menus des niveaux
supérieur et intermédiaire. Bascule

EXIT Quitte directement le menu pour accéder

CHANGER L'UNITÉ DE MESURE
RÉGLER L'UNITÉ DE MESURE DU DÉMARRAGE
Régler l'unité de mesure affichée au démarrage à g, kg, lb,
oz, lb/oz ou Auto (la dernière unité de mesure utilisée avant
que la balance n'ait été éteinte).
1. Depuis le menu de configuration,
appuyez sur la touche NO jusqu'à ce
que le paramètre « Power On Unit »
(unité de mesure au démarrage) s'affiche.
2. Appuyez sur la touche YES pour accéder au menu
du paramètre « Power On Unit » (unité de mesure au
démarrage).
3. Appuyez sur la touche NO jusqu'à ce que l'unité de
mesure désirée s'affiche.
4. Appuyez sur la touche YES pour accepter la
nouvelle unité de mesure.
ACTIVER LES UNITÉS DE MESURE
Les unités de mesure doivent être activées dans le menu
pour pouvoir les sélectionner en appuyant sur la touche
PRINT/UNITS/NO.
1. Depuis le menu d'unités de mesure,
vous pouvez activer et désactiver les
unités de mesure (Voir Figure 2).

MENU D'ÉTALONNAGE
Deux procédés d'étalonnage sont offerts – Étalonnage de
l'intervalle de mesure et étalonnage linéaire. (Voir Figure3)
1. Assurez-vous que les masses d'étalonnage appropriées
sont disponibles avant de commencer l'étalonnage.
2. Assurez-vous que la base de la balance est
de niveau et stable pendant tout le processus
d'étalonnage.
3. L'étalonnage n'est pas possible si «LFT» est en
position ON (marche).
4. Laissez l'indicateur se réchauffer environ 5 minutes
pour qu'il s'ajuste à la température ambiante.
5. Pour annuler l'étalonnage, appuyez sur la touche
EXIT (quitter) à tout moment pendant le processus
d'étalonnage.
ÉTALONNAGE DE L'INTERVALLE DE MESURE
1. L'étalonnage de l'intervalle de
mesure utilise deux points pour
ajuster la balance. Le premier point
représente la valeur zéro lorsqu'il n'y a pas de
poids sur la balance. Le deuxième point est la
valeur de l'intervalle de mesure lorsqu'une masse
d'étalonnage est placée sur la balance.

les sélections. Lorsque la valeur désirée s'affiche, placez le
poids spécifié sur la balance et appuyez sur la touche YES.
6. L'écran indique --C-- lorsque
le point d'intervalle de mesure est
déterminé.
7. Si l'étalonnage de l'intervalle de
mesure est réussi, la balance quitte
le mode de pesage actif et affiche
la valeur du poids actuel.
ÉTALONNAGE LINAIRE
1. L'étalonnage linéaire utilise trois points d'étalonnage.
Le premier point d'étalonnage est déterminé
lorsqu'il n'y a pas de poids sur la balance. Le
deuxième point d'étalonnage est déterminé à
environ la moitié de sa capacité. Le troisième point
d'étalonnage est déterminé lorsque la capacité est
atteinte. Les points d'étalonnage linéaires sont fixes
et ne peuvent être modifiés par l'utilisateur au cours
du processus d'étalonnage.
2. Lorsque L INEAr est affiché, appuyez
sur la touche YES pour accéder au
menu de l'étalonnage linéaire.
3. Le chiffre 0clignote à l'écran.
Lorsqu'il n'y a pas de poids sur la
balance, appuyez sur la touche
YES pour déterminer le point zéro.
4. L'écran indique --C-- lorsque le
point zéro est déterminé.
5. Le point milieu d'étalonnage
clignote sur l'écran.
6. Placez le poids spécifié sur la
balance et appuyez sur la touche
YES. L'écran indique --C-- lorsque
le point milieu est déterminé.
7. Le point d'étalonnage complet
clignote à l'écran.
8. Placez le poids spécifié sur la
balance et appuyez sur la touche
YES. L'écran indique --C-- lorsque
le point complet est déterminé.
9. Si l'étalonnage linéaire est réussi,
la balance quitte le mode de
pesage actif et affiche la valeur
du poids actuel.
MISE À ZÉRO
La valeur zéro peut être réglée dans les conditions suivantes:
• Automatiquement au démarrage (zéro initial).
• Semi-automatiquement (manuellement) en
appuyant sur la touche ON/ZERO OFF.
• Semi-automatiquement en envoyant la commande
zéro (Z ou la commande ALT-zéro).
Appuyez sur la touche
ON/ZERO OFF pour mettre à
zéro l'écran d'affichage du
poids. La balance doit être stable
pour effectuer la mise à zéro.
TARE (MANUEL)
1. Lors du pesage d'un objet
qui doit être tenu dans un
contenant, le tarage enregistre
le poids du contenant. Placez
le contenant vide sur la balance (p. ex. 0,5 kg) et
appuyez sur la touche TARE. Le poids net s'affichera à
l'écran.
2. Pour effacer la valeur
de tare, déchargez la
balance et appuyez sur la
touche TARE . Le poids brut
s'affichera à l'écran.
MODIFICATION DE L'UNITÉ DE MESURE
Maintenez la touche PRINT UNITS enfoncée jusqu'à ce
que l'unité de mesure désirée soit affichée.
IMPRESSION DES DONNÉES
1. Les paramètres de communication doivent être
définis dans le menu d'impression pour imprimer
les données affichées à l'aide d'une imprimante ou
pour transmettre les données à un ordinateur.
2. Appuyez sur la touche PRINT UNITS pour envoyer les
données affichées au port de communication.
