You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly
instructions, operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram. Keep
your invoice with this manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the front
cover. Keep the manual and invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference.
Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using tool, basic safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this tool!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use machines or power tools in
damp or wet locations. Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lit. Do not
use electrically powered tools in the presence of flammable gases or liquids.
3. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do
not let them handle machines, tools, or extension cords.
4. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry
location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of reach of children.
5. Use the right tool for the job.Do not attempt to force a small tool or
attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool.There are certain
applications for which this tool was designed.It will do the job better
and more safely at the rate for which it was intended.Do not modify this
tool and do not use this tool for a purpose for which it was not intended. Do
not use this tool for any aircraft purpose.
6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught
inmovingparts. Protective, electricallynonconductiveclothes andnonskid
footwear are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to
contain long hair.

7. Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety
goggles.Wear a full face shield if you are producing metal filings or wood
chips.WearanANSI approved dust mask orrespiratorwhenworking around
metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists.
8. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not
reachoveroracrossrunningmachines.
9. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer
performance.Followinstructionsfor lubricating and changing accessories.
Inspecttoolcords periodically and, ifdamaged, have them repairedbyan
authorized technician.The handles must be kept clean, dry, and free from oil
and grease at all times.
10. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Check that keys and adjusting
wrenches are removed from the all tools or machine work surfaces before
beginningwork.
11. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense.Do not operate
any tool when you are tired.
12. Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properlyandperformits intended function.
13. Guard against electric shock. Preventbody contact with groundedsurfaces
suchas pipes, radiators, ranges,and refrigerator enclosures.
14. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing,useonly identical
replacement parts.Use of any other parts will void the warranty.Only use
accessories intended for use with this tool.Approved accessories are
availablefromHarborFreightTools.
15. Do not operate tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read
warninglabelson prescriptions to determineifyour judgment or reflexesare
impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the tool.
16. Maintenance. For your safety, service and maintenance should be performed
regularlybya qualified technician.

Assembly
This item must be assembled before use.
1. Attach the vertical Post (2) to the Base (1) using two sets of Bolt, Nut and
Washer (7), as shown in the Assembly Diagram and in the photo below.
Tightenallfastenersfirmly.

2. Attach Step (10) to the Post (2) using
two sets Bolt, Nut, Washer (8) as
showninthephotoabove.Tightenall
fastenersfirmly.
3. Slide the Top Post (3) over the Post (2).
Secure theTop Post in place with the
Pin (5) and Cotter Pin (9). See photo at
right.
4. TheTop Post, with its Chest Rest (11), may be adjusted up or down, by
removing the Cotter Pin (9) and Pin (5), moving theTop Post to the desired
height, and reinserting the Pin and Cotter Pin.

Operation
Thistoolis useful for restingoveravehicle fender without scratchingordenting
thevehicle.
1. Position theTop Creeper near the vehicle, and adjust the height of the Chest
Rest appropriately.For theTop Creeper to fit properly, the bottom of the car
must be a minimum of 3" from the ground.
2. CAUTION:Caution mustbe used whilepositioning! Somesharp corners may
exist on this product that will damage the vehicle if not properly positioned.
Checkall foampads beforeuse.Carefullyadjust theTopCreeper,and ensure
that the Fender Protector (4) is in good condition to prevent damage to the
vehicle.
3. Do not suddenly exert pressure or force on the creeper; it may move, causing
personalinjury and/orproperty damage. Always make sure that the creeper is
firmly in place before using. Never exceed the 300 Lbs. maximum weight
capacity.
4. Thecover fortheChest Rest can bereplaced. Please contact HarborFreight
Toolsforreplacement.
Maintenance
1. Periodically check all fasteners to be sure they are firmly tightened.
2. Protect the cover of the Chest Rest (11) from damage.Wipe it clean if it gets
dirty.
3. Protect the Fender Protector (4) from damage. Repair or replace the pad if it is
damaged.
4. Occasionally apply lubricant to the axles of the Casters (12).
5. The weight capacity of this tool is 300 Lbs. Do not overload this tool.
6. This tool is designed to support a person while working on a vehicle. Do not
use this item as a cart or storage unit for tools or parts.
7. Do not use this item for any aircraft purpose.
