Quick Start User Manual
Check List
The product contains：
•One Xin.Bao Portal ECG Monitor Device
•One Micro-USB Charging Cable
•One Chest Strip
Adjust Chest Strip
•Before the first use, please adjust the length of
the chest strip to ensure the electrodes are
tightly attached to chest skin. The chest strip
should not move during exercise and should
not affect your normal breathing.
Preparation

Chest Strip Wearing
•Please wet the two electrodes on the chest
strip before each use.
•While wearing, please put make sure the
electrodes are close enough to the heard
position as shown in the figure below；
•Buckle the device on to chest strip。
•NOTE: Please make sure the USB port of the
device is facing up (power button is down)

Install Xin.Bao APP
•Please scan the following QR code to
download XIN.BAO app. This code is
applicable for both iPhone and Android
phones.
•LifePing App only works on IOS and Android
phones. It requires Bluetooth Low Energy
(BLE 4.0) for communication. The minimum
phone OS version supported is IOs 7+ and
Android 4.3+. You can find all these
information in your phone’s settings.
Pre-requisite for Smart Phone Systems
Download Xin.Bao APP
•Alternatively, you can go to the following
address from your phone web browser to
download the app for both iPhone and
Android phone.

•After the app is downloaded and installed
from the app stores, you can click the
XIN.BAO app icon to start it.
TIP：
Don’t wet the whole chest strip while wearing
TIP：
If you encounter downloading problem, please check
your mobile network connection.
XIN.BAO Portable ECG Monitor

•On the first use of the app, please choose to
“JOIN XIN.BAO” to register. An valid email
address is required to create your XIN. BAO
account. If you are an existing Facebook or
WeChat user, you can directly login with your
Facebook or WeChat account.
•No more login required for later use until you
logout from the app again.

Login/Register/App Launching
•After logging in, you will enter the main app
interface. If you swipe from the left edge of the
screen to the right, you will see the main app
menu as shown in the following figures.
TIP：
Please try to provide real information about
yourself as this might affect the diagnosis results
Register Your XIN.BAO Device
•Before starting your measurement, you will
need to register your XIN.BAO device to the app.
Please make sure that Bluetooth on your phone
is switched on and then turn on XIN.BAO device.
On the first use, the green light should be on
indicating that your XIN.BAO device is waiting
for connection.

TIP：
If the red light flashes slowly, it indicates the
device’s power is low and needs charging.
•After clicking the “plus” button shown in
figure ①below, you should be able to see
the discovered XIN.BAO device in the pop up
bottom menu (shown in ②). Clicking the
discovered device and naming the device in
the pop up dialog (shown in ③) to complete
your device register (④).

•Open the ECG measurement page through
app main menu (①); Click the start button
（“arrow” icon) to start your ECG measure.
You should be able to see the ECG waves and
your heart rate and measuring time(②).

ECG Measurement

•Click the stop button to stop your
measurement and save it. While you
choose to save a record, you can also
annotate it with your current symptoms for
more accurate diagnostic result.
TIP：
While taking an ECG measurement, you can still
use your phone as usual.

ECG Records
•Open ECG Records Page through app main
menu(①). It shows all saved ECG records of
the current day. To check records from other
date, you can click the calendar button.(②).

•The icon on the left of each record indicates
record status.
•Red Cloud: Record is not uploaded. Click red
cloud triggers upload.
•Green Cloud: Record exists in the cloud but
is not available on the phone. Click green
cloud triggers downloading.
•Stethoscope: The record has been uploaded.
Click it will show diagnosis of this record.
•Clicking the “i” icon on the right of the record,
will show the saved symptoms for this
record(③).
•Clicking record invokes the main record action
menu(④). Menu Actions:
•Browse: Browsing ECG waves on phone
•Share: Share records through
WeChat/Facebook messenger
•Delete: Delete the record(including backup in
the cloud)。

•Diagnosis Result: Direct diagnosis result
from our expert system.
•Health Score: Over all health score.
•Health Ranking: Your health ranking based
on your health score amongst populations
of similar age and symptoms.
•Heart Age: The estimated heart age.
•Stress Level: Your current stress level that is
associated with the record.
•Res Rate:Respiratory rate.
•Health Trend: Tracking your health score
change over the last week or month.
Device Management
•Open device management page through app
main menu(①)。Clicking registered device to
activate device management menu (②).

•Menu function as shown in ②are：
•Activity Mode: Switch the device to activity
mode。Green light flashes quickly once the
device in in activity mode. There is no need
to keep your mobile connected to the device
while it’s in activity mode. In addition, under
activity mode, the device only records heart
rate and activity amount. They are stored in
the local storage and can be synced to your
mobile later.
•ECG Mode: Switch the device to ECG
mode.Green light is constantly on while the
device is waiting for connection. Once an
ECG measurements start, green light goes
off. Mobile is required for the device to work
under ECG mode.
•Reset Device: Reset device and clear up all
locally stored data on the device. After reset,
device is automatically put in ECG model.
During reset process, the red light is
constantly on and green light flashes slowly.
•Modify Description: Modify device
description. This operation has no effect to
device operation.
•De-register Device: Remove device from the
app. Once a device is deregistered, you are
not able to connect to it till it’s registered
again.
TIP：
While XIN.BAO device is under RESET, please DO
NOT operate it or switch it off.

Setting
•Open activity tracking page through app main
menu(①). This page displays your historical
heart rate and activity data. You can browse
your data on different time scale. Click the
sync button on the top right corner of the
page triggers the data sync between device
and your mobile.
Activity Tracking
•Open Setting page through app main
menu(①). You can set the key parameters of
the app using setting page. The following
explains those parameters:
•Turn on Bluetooth(Android Only): Turn on/off
Bluetooth of the phone.
•Mobile Network(Android Only): Whether
mobile data can be used for
downloading/uploading data from the app.
•Real Time Syncing: If turned on, while
device is in Activity Mode, heart rate/activity
data will be synced to the phone
automatically (every 10 mins)
•Real Time Backup: If turned on, all your ECG
data will be backed up automatically. This
option is particularly useful for
long/continuous ECG measurements.

Logout
•Logout app through using logout menu. Once
logged out, you are required to login again
next time to use the app.
•If you only close the app without logging out,
there is no need to logging in.
•Logging out the app won’t cause data lost.
•If you accidently uninstalled the app, logging
in with the same user after you re-install the
app, all your data will be restored
automatically.
Abnormal ECG
•Open Abnormal ECG page through app main
menu(①). This page shows unusual ECGs
and their associated heart diseases. Click
each item will show details (②).

Light Indicators

Initialisation:
Red Light Flashes Quickly：After the device
is powered on, red light flashes quickly for a
short period of time. It indicates the device in
the initialisation stage. Red light turns off
after device initialisation.
Activity Mode:
Green Light Flashes Quickly: Indicating the
device is working under activity mode. No
mobile is required under this mode.
Both Lights Flashes in Turn：Indicating the
local storage of the device is full and needs
reset. Please make sure your data is
synced to mobile before device reset.
Device Reset:
Red Light On ，Green Light Flashes:
Please don’t turn off your device while
device is resetting. All other operations
become invalid. Device enters ECG
mode after reset（Green Light On）.
Charging：
Red light is constantly on once the
device is connected to USB. Charging
time is around 2 hours. Red light goes
off while battery is fully charged.
ECG Mode:
Green Light On ：Device is waiting for
connection.
Both Lights Off: Device is working
Low Battery:
Red Light Flashes Slowly: Device is no
longer usable while battery is low.
