lb.in(4500Nm)torque.Productdesignisbasedonaself‐lockingwormdriveprincipal,which
providesforasmoothrunning,dependable,robustdrivesystem.AllmodelsareISO5211compliant,
haveavisualpositionindicatorontopofactuatorcoverandmanualoverride.Themanual
operationisanon‐clutchdesignthatcanbeoperatedwithoutanylever,clutchorbrakeuponpower
outage.

Built‐inthermalprotectionpreventsmotorburnout.ACmotoris125°C(257°F) and90°C

DutyCycle–compliancetoIECstandard
"Dutycycle"meansthestartingfrequency.
Theformula:RunningTime÷(Runningtime+RestTime)×100%=dutycycle
Rest Time = Running Time ×(1- duty cycle) ÷duty cycle
Forexample:Therunningtimefor202is15seconds.
30%dutycycle15×[(1–30%)/30%]=35Theresttimewillbe35secs.
75%dutycycle15×[(1–75%)/75%]=5Theresttimewillbe5secs.
Ifthedutycycleishigher,theresttimewillbeshorterwhichmeansthestartingfrequencycanbe
higher.

STORAGE INFORMATION
Receiving/Inspection
Carefullyinspectforshippingdamage.Damagetotheshippingcartonisusuallyagoodindication
thatithasbeenmishandledinshipping.Reportalldamageimmediatelytothefreightcarrierand
yourdistributor.
Unpacktheproductandinformationpackettakingcaretosavetheshippingcartonandanypacking
materialshouldreturnbenecessary.Verifythattheitemonthepackinglistorbillofladingagrees
withyourowndocumentation.
Storage
Ifyouractuatorcannotbeinstalledimmediatelystoreitinadryplace,itmustbeprotectedfrom
excessmoisture,dust,andweather,untilyouarereadytoconnectincomingcables.
Iftheactuatorhastobeinstalledbutcannotbeconnected,pleasedon’tremovetheplasticcable
entryplugs.Whentheactuatorhastobeconnecteditisrecommendedtoreplacewithsuitable
water‐proofplugshavetoIPprotection.
LUBRICATION
Thegeartrainhasbeenpermanentlylubricatedatthefactory.

INSTALLATION
a. Beforemountingactuator,verifythatthetorquerequirementislessthantheoutputtorqueof
theactuator.(Thesuggestedsafetyfactoris1.3)
Forexample:
Ifthemaximumtorqueof5”valveis70Nm.80×1.3(safetyfactor)=104
104Nm<150Nm(203)OK!
104Nm >90Nm(202)NO!
b. Checkthattheoutputshaftadaptorfitsthestemofthevalvebeforeinsertingintoactuator.
c. Insertoutputshaftadaptorintoactuator.Makesureitfitsproperly.
d. Determinethatactuatorposition,openorclosed,matchespositionofequipmentwithwhichit
istobemounted.Usemanualoverridetochangeposition,ifnecessary.
e. Checkagainthatthevalveandactuatorareinthesameposition.
f. Installmountinghardwareonthevalveormountonthevalvedirectly,mountactuatortovalve
securelytightenallboltsandscrewsonceactuatorscrewshavebeenstarted.
g. Removeactuatorcover.
CAUTION:Besurepowerisoffatthemainpowerbox.
h. Wireactuatorusingthewiringdiagraminsidecover.
CAUTION:Forthe3‐Phaseon‐offcontrolleractuator,pleaseusethehand‐wheeltoturnthe
actuatorto45degreebeforetest.Iftheoperatingdirectionisbackwards,pleasechange
anytwoofthepowersupplyleads(indicatedasU,V,Wonthewiringdiagrams.
i. Turnonpowertoactuator.
CAUTION:Useextremecautionastherearelivecircuitsthatcouldcauseelectricalshockor
death.
j. Determineifitisneededtocalibratethefully‐openorfully‐closedpositionoftheactuator.
