Step 2 Install and Charge the Handset Battery
TO INSTALL THE HANDSET BATTERY
(see page 10 for details)
Charge the handset battery pack for at least 15-
20 hours before using your new cordless tele-
phone for the first time! When the handset battery pack is fully charged,
after 15-20 hours of charging, plug the telephone
cord into the base unit and then into a telephone
wall jack.
Your phone is set for tone dialing. If your local
network requires pulse dialing, please see
“Choosing the dialing mode” on page 15.

Remove the cover.
Use only the Uniden
rechargeable battery
pack supplied with your
new phone!
TO SET CALLER ID, LANGUAGE AND DIALING OPTIONS
APress and hold the caller id/menu key in
standby mode.
BPress the vol/ / or vol/ / key to
move the pointer to an option.
CPress the select key to change the option
setting.
DPress the end key to exit, and return the
handset to the base.

Plug the AC adapter cord into the base
unit and then into a 120V AC outlet.
Use only the Uniden AC adapter supplied
with your new phone!
EPlace the handset in the base and charge
continuously for 15 - 20 hours before using
the phone.
BConnect the battery pack
connector with the
correct polarity.
CReplace the cover.
Note: There are five setup
options available. They are
Caller ID options (AutoTalk,
CIDCW [Caller ID on Call
Waiting], Area Code), Dial
Mode and Language
(see page 14 for details).
