INITIAL SETUP INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY:
During this process you will connect the outdoor signal antenna, interior distribution
antenna and the 12V power supply to the Uniden UM50-4G booster unit as follows:
OUTDOOR SIGNAL ANTENNA
Please connect the magnetic base unit to the outdoor antenna and place it on the
metal roof of the vehicle. Try to keep it as far away from the interior antenna as
possible. Once you have found the desired positioning for your outdoor antenna,
connect it directly to the booster on the connection marked “Outdoor”
DISTRIBUTION ANTENNA
Identify an appropriate location for the distribution antenna and keep it as far
away as possible from the location of the outside antenna. Once you have found
the desired position for your distribution antenna, connect it directly to the
booster on the connection marked “Indoor”
BOOSTER PLACEMENT
You should place the booster in an easily accessible location within your vehicle
i.e. Under the passenger seating, in the rear of the vehicle or any other location
that keeps the booster hidden out of sight. Please DO NOT keep the booster in a
location that is continuously exposed to sunlight as it can overheat.
COMMISSIONING THE SYSTEM
Plugging in the power will switch the Uniden UM50-4G ON causing the “Power”
LED light on the backside of the unit to remain lit indicating the unit is properly
powered.

INITIAL SETUP INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY:
UNIDEN BOOSTER
Install the Uniden Booster in an area that is protected from the weather, properly
ventilated and is away from excessive heat and moisture.
OUTDOOR ANTENNA AND MOUNTING POLE
The ideal location for the outdoor antenna is on the roof of the building or a mast
structure. The antenna should be placed in a manner that allows it to capture the
best possible cellular signal.
OUTDOOR COAXIAL CABLE
Connect the outdoor coaxial cable to the connection on the back of the outdoor
antenna and run the cable to the Uniden Booster and attach it to the connector
labelled “outdoor” on the Uniden Booster (use the included SMA adapters).
INDOOR COAXIAL CABLE (IF USED)
Connect the indoor coaxial cable to the connector labelled “indoor” on the Uniden
Booster. Run the cable to the location of your indoor antenna and attach it to the
connector on the back of the indoor antenna (use the included SMA adapters).
INDOOR ANTENNA
The ideal location for the indoor antenna will be the area of your property where
you need to improve the signal most.
COMMISSIONING THE SYSTEM
Plugging in the power will switch the Uniden UM50-4G ON causing the “Power”
LED light on the backside of the unit to remain lit indicating the unit is properly
powered.
