Features
The MK800W is NOT waterproof or water-resistant. Keep it away from water
and do not let it get submerged in water. If the mic gets wet, power it off and
dry off the casing.
Keep out of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure could
heat the internal workings of the mic past safe levels.

Install batteries in

1. Remove the back battery cover.
2. Insert the Ni-MH battery, connecting it to the mic
at the plug.
3. Replace the back cover.
4. Use the DC charger to charge battery completely
before using.
Mount the
microphone cradle
1. Mount the cradle using the supplied screws.
2. Disconnect the current wired mic.
If your Uniden UHF-CB has a secondary mic jack,
you can connect the microphone cradle without
disconnecting the current mic.
3. Connect the microphone cradle.
4. Turn on UCB. The cradle LED ashes red while it
powers up, then becomes solid red.

Using Your Microphone
Install the belt clip (if
using)
If you are using the belt clip, slide it onto the belt
clip knob on the back of the mic.
To... Do This...
Turn on the Microphone Press PTT or POWER ON/OFF. The LED turns
green, indicating that the mic is on.
Transmit and Receive Press PTT to transmit. Release PTT to listen
for a response. The PTT button is located on
the side of the mic.
If the wireless connection is lost, the mic
sounds an error tone if PTT is pressed.
The mic only operates when it is in range. If it
is out of range for 2 minutes, it automatically
powers down.
Increase/Decrease
Volume
Press to increase or to decrease the
volume in 16 step increments. When you reach
the 16th step in either direction, an error tone
sounds.
Find a Lost Microphone 1. Press FIND on the cradle.
2. When you locate the mic, press FIND on the
cradle again or any key on the mic.
3. The tone times out after 1 minute.
Turn off the Microphone The microphone will automatically turn off after
2 minutes of inactivity.
Automatic Power Off
When you turn off the car, the UCB is also turned off. If the wireless mic
has not been turned off, press Power On/Off to turn it off; otherwise, it will
automatically power off after 2 minutes.
The wireless mic will also power off if the mic is out of range for 2 minutes.

Sync Mic with Cradle
Your mic is already synced with the cradle at the factory. However, if the mic
unsyncs from the cradle for any reason, it will not key up the UCB when you
press PTT. To synchronize the mic with the cradle:
1. Press and hold FIND/SYNC on the base for 5 seconds. The red LED will
rapidly ash.
2. Press and hold both and on the microphone for 5 seconds. The
microphone will beep and the indicator will rapidly ash.
Within 15 seconds, the cradle and microphone will synchronize. The
microphone will sound a beep and the LED will turn solid green.
Turn Off all Features Except Charging
1. While the battery pack charges in the mic, press and hold Power On/Off for
about 5 seconds.
2. The mic beeps.
3. After the battery is charged, the LED alternately ashes orange and green.
There are three methods to turn the features back on. You can press Power
On/Off or you can press PTT. You can also disconnect the mini-USB cable,
and then reconnect it.

Warrantor: The warrantor is either Uniden Australia Pty Limited ABN 58 001 865
498 (“Uniden Aust”) or Uniden New Zealand Limited (“Uniden NZ”) as the case may
be.
Terms of Warranty: Uniden Aust/NZ warrants to the original retail purchaser
only that the MK800W (“the Product”), will be free from defects in materials and
craftsmanship for the duration of the warranty period, subject to the limitations and
exclusions set out below.
Warranty period: This warranty to the original retail purchaser is only valid in the
original country of purchase for a Product rst purchased either in Australia or New
Zealand and will expire one (1) year from the date of the original retail sale.
If a warranty claim is made, this warranty will not apply if the Product is found by
Uniden to be:
(A) Damaged or not maintained in a reasonable manner or as recommended
in the relevant Uniden Owner’s Manual;
(B) Modied, altered or used as part of any conversion kits, subassemblies or
any congurations not sold by Uniden Aust or Uniden NZ;
(C) Improperly installed contrary to instructions contained in the relevant
Owner’s Manual
(D) Repaired by someone other than an authorized Uniden Repair Agent in
relation to a defect or malfunction covered by this warranty; or
(E) Used in conjunction with any equipment, parts or a system not
manufactured by Uniden.
Parts Covered: This warranty covers the Product and included accessories.
User-generated Data: This warranty does not cover any claimed loss of or
damage to user-generated data (including but without limitation phone numbers,
addresses and images) that may be stored on your Product.

as stated above, the Warrantor, at its discretion, will either repair the defect or
replace the Product without any charge for parts or service. This warranty does
not include any reimbursement or payment of any consequential damages
claimed to arise from a Product’s failure to comply with the warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to
be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This warranty is in addition to and sits alongside your rights under either the
COMPETITION AND CONSUMER ACT 2010 (Australia) or the CONSUMER
GUARANTEES ACT (New Zealand) as the case may be, none of which can be
excluded.
Procedure for obtaining warranty service: Depending on the country in
which the Product was rst purchased, if you believe that your Product does
not conform with this warranty, you should deliver the Product, together with
satisfactory evidence of your original purchase (such as a legible copy of the
sales docket) to Uniden at the addresses shown below. You should contact
Uniden regarding any compensation that may be payable for your expenses
incurred in making a warranty claim. Prior to delivery, we recommend that you
make a backup copy of any phone numbers, images or other data stored on
your Product, in case it is lost or damaged during warranty service.
