BTS200 HIGH-DEFINITION SPEAKER
Uniden’s BTS200 high denition Bluetooth speaker provides clear stereo sound in a
compact, portable package. With Bluetooth V2.1 compatibility, the BTS200 pairs with
your Mobile phone to become a speakerphone for hands free conversations. You can also
connect your music player (wired or wireless) for crisp, clear audio. Charge your mobile
phone if it can be charged via a USB cable (not included).

What’s in the Box?

SET UP YOUR BTS200 SPEAKER
Install the Battery
Remove the battery from any protective packaging and discard the packaging1.
accordingly.
Align the battery pack with the guides along the inside of the battery area. Be sure the2.
contact slots are in the correct position to close on the contacts.
Slide the battery in until you hear the latch click.3.
Charge the Battery
Insert the adapter’s DC jack into the DC connection.1.
Plug the adapter into a 240 VAC power supply (standard wall outlet).2.
The middle LED lights to indicate the battery is charging. It goes o when charging is3.
complete.
Your battery must be fully charged (more than 7.5 hours) before you can use your speaker.

Turn on Your Speaker
When you turn on your speaker for the rst time, it automatically goes into pairing mode.
The Bluetooth LED ( ) ashes rapidly and is ready to pair (see p. 7). The next time you turn
on your speaker, it searches for already paired devices and then moves into a standby state.
Press and hold1. for at least 3 seconds.
All LEDs light and a power on tone sounds.2.

Bluetooth devices are discovered; otherwise, it goes out.
To turn o the speaker: Press and hold for at least 3 seconds.
Pair Bluetooth Devices to Your Speaker
Pair First Bluetooth Device
Pair your rst Bluetooth device to your speaker when you turn your speaker on for the rst
time. Be sure your speaker is in pairing mode when you pair your second Bluetooth device
(see step 1-2 of ‘Pair Second Bluetooth Device’ below).
Select a Bluetooth V2.1 or above device (mobile phone or music player) to pair.1.

Select the2. Searching mode on your Bluetooth device (refer to your Bluetooth device’s
owner’s manual for details if necessary).
Your Bluetooth device should nd3. BTS200; select it and use 0000 for a pairing code if
necessary.
Verify that you are connected to your speaker. The Bluetooth LED (4. ) moves to a
steady ON state when pairing is complete.
Pair Second Bluetooth Device
Turn on your speaker,1. and continue to press and hold until your speaker beeps
twice.
Release2. . The BTS200 is ready to pair.
Follow the same procedures for pairing your rst Bluetooth device (see above).3.
The Bluetooth Speaker can store pairing information for two devices but only one device can be
connected at a time. To switch between paired devices, disconnect the Bluetooth connection from the
existing device (see manual for your Bluetooth device) and then connect the second device.

BTS200 SPEAKER OPERATION
Press and hold for at least 3 seconds to turn on your speaker.
The and keys control the speaker’s volume level during mobile phone operation
and music playback. Press and release the keys to increase or decrease the volume level
one step at a time. Press and hold and to quickly raise and lower the volume levels.
Your speaker sounds an alert tone when it reaches the maximum upper and lower volume
levels.
Basic Mobile Phone Operations
The green LED ashes when your mobile phone has an incoming call. Both the speaker
and your mobile phone may ring, depending on your mobile phone settings.

Basic Music Operation
When you pair a Bluetooth music player to your speaker, you can control operation through
your speaker.

NOTE: When you stop or pause the music playback, your speaker starts
streaming music into a buer. The music resumes at the same volume level
after you press .

SPECIAL FEATURES
Charge Mobile Phone using a USB Cable
If you have the proper tting USB cable (not included), you can charge your mobile phone
through your speaker. Be sure you have a USB cable that will t both USB connections - the
one on your speaker and the one on your mobile phone.
Connect the USB cable to your mobile phone and to your speaker.1.
There are no specic charging LEDs on your speaker; however, any charging LEDs on2.
your mobile phone may blink accordingly.
After you charge your mobile phone using your speaker’s battery, be sure you recharge your speaker.
Play Music through a Wired Connection
You can still play music through your BTS200 speaker even if your music device is not
paired to your speaker. You can physically connect your music device to your speaker with a
cable having a 3.5 mm minijack at one end (not included).
Plug one end of the cable into your music device, just like you would a pair of1.
headphones.
Plug the other end of the cable into your speaker’s 3.5 mm jack labeled2.

The following restrictions apply when you are playing music through a wired connection:
If both a Bluetooth device and a wired device are connected to your speaker, the•
Bluetooth device will take priority over the wired device.
The BTS200 does not control the wired device; it only plays music through a wired•
connection. It cannot operate or skip . You must use the wired device to do that.
If you are listening to music from the wired device and you press•, your speaker will
start playing music from the Bluetooth device if available.
Manage SRS WOW HD™ On/O
The BTS200 speaker utilizes SRS WOW HD™ technology. WOW HD™ signicantly improves
the playback quality of audio, delivering a dynamic 3D entertainment experience with
deep, rich bass and high frequency clarity for crisp detail.
You can turn SRS on or o (default = on). Your speaker retains the SRS setting during power
o.
Press1. and at the same time when the music is playing.
If you hear a single acknowledgement tone, you have turned SRS o. If you hear a2.
double acknowledgement tone, you have turned SRS back on.

Battery Features
Your BTS200 comes equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion polymer battery. You can
recharge the battery by connecting it to 240 VAC power through the AC adapter.
Install and Charge the Battery
See p. 5 for details on installing and charging the battery (the same procedures as for initial
turnup).
Remove the Battery
Press down on the battery latch to release the battery.1.
With the battery latch pressed down, press down and push out the opposite end of the2.
battery to slide it out of the battery compartment.
Check the Battery Level
Press the battery indicator button while the AC adapter is not connected to your speaker
(see p. 9). The battery LEDs light according to how much power remains in the battery:
3 LEDs = 100 - 70% remaining•
2 LEDs = 70 - 35% remaining•
1 LED = 35 - 15% remaining•
0 LEDs = Less than 15% power remaining. When the battery level falls below 15% (0 LED)•
status, the speaker sounds an alert tone.
