3. Charge the Battery
Before using your BTSC1300, charge the battery for
at least 3 hours. Charging the battery completely (and
keeping it charged) will help you get the longest possible
talk and standby time out of the battery. (On average,
the battery provides about 20 hours of talk time or music
play and about 500 hours of standby time.)
1. Connect the adapter to the CHARGE connector on
the side of the BTSC1300 (open the rubber cover to
access the connector) and plug it into any standard
240VAC power outlet.
Use ONLY the power adapter supplied with the
BTSC1300! Using any other adapter could damage
your BTSC1300, create a re hazard, or cause a risk
of electric shock!
2. While charging the LED will light up red and when
charging is complete, the LED will turn off.
Switch on: Slide the POWER switch
to ON. Blue LED blinks.
Switch off: Slide the POWER switch to
OFF. Blue LED turns off.

Pairing “introduces” two Bluetooth devices and gives them
permission to connect to each other. Once you pair a phone
to the BTSC1300, the two devices can connect automatically
whenever they can detect each other.
1. Slide the POWER switch to ON
while holding down the MULTI
(PAIRING) button.
The device beeps twice and
the blue LED will blink fast.
2. On your phone, start a search for Bluetooth BTSC1300s
or hands-free devices. (This process may take several
seconds, and it will be different for each mobile phone; see
your phone’s owner’s manual for detailed instructions.)
3. Your phone should discover a device called a BTSC1300 or
a Handsfree device. When your phone asks if you want to
pair with this device, answer yes.
4. When your phone prompts you for a
PIN code or password to pair with the
BTSC1300, enter 0000, then pairing is
completed.
If pairing is successful, the blue LED
blinks twice every ve seconds,
otherwise blue LED blinks once every
ve seconds.

To play music through the BTSC1300 stereo speakers just
play music on your phone or MP3 player as usual. Control the
playback from your phone or MP3 player as usual or use the
BTSC1300 controls in the table.

2. If the PIN code is skipped (for stereo dongle) then continue
with the next steps.
3. Refer to your Bluetooth MP3 player’s manual and choose
“Compatible Devices”. Menu function may differ depending
on devices. Execute the search function for “Stereo
Headset”.
4. When the product name BTSC1300 appears, try connection.
5. When the Pin Code screen appears, enter 0000, then Pairing
is completed.
6. The two devices are now connected in synchronization.
If pairing is successful, the blue LED blinks twice every
ve seconds, otherwise blue LED blinks once every ve
seconds.

- Music stops automatically and music turns to bell ring when
there is an Incoming call.

When another call comes in while you’re on the phone, the
BTSC1300 sounds a tone.
- Press MULTI and VOLUME UP simultaneously to answer the
waiting call and end the current call
- Press VOLUME UP and DOWN simultaneously to answer the
waiting call and place the current call on hold.
- Press VOLUME UP and DOWN simultaneously again to
switch between callers.
- Press MULTI and VOLUME DOWN to end a waiting call.
To use this feature, you must subscribe to Call Waiting
through your service provider, and your phone must
support the hands-free prole.
While the BTSC1300 is in standby, hold down a Volume button
(UP or DOWN) for 3 seconds to hear a ring tone.
Repeat to hear a different ring tone. The last ring tone you hear
will be set as your ring tone.
When a call comes in, the BTSC1300 sounds a ring tone. In
addition, the BTSC1300 can use text-to-speech to announce
the caller’s phone number.
Press and hold MULTI for 3 seconds to turn TTS on or off. A
soft low-high pitch tone indicates TTS is on. A soft high-low
pitch tone indicates TTS is off.

every 10 seconds. To cancel the reminder sound function, press

7Safety and General Information
1. Please read and follow these instructions carefully.
2. For maximum product life, do not drop, throw or crush the
BTSC1300.
3. Keep unit away from humidity, water and any other liquid.
4. Do not place or keep the unit near heat sources such as
direct sunlight, radiators, stoves or other apparatus which
produce high heat.
5. Do not expose the battery (or the unit) to ames or dispose of
in a re: the battery may explode.
6. Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair any
component of this product.
7. Do not place the heavy objects on the unit.
8. Use only the supplied and approved charger.
9. Replacement or service must be done at a qualied service
center or manufacturer.
10.Unplug the unit when unused for long period of time or
during lightning storms.

warranty service.

Elements of Warranty: Uniden warrants to the original retail owner for
the duration of this warranty its BTSC1300 (hereinafter referred to as the
Product), to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship with only
the limitations or exclusions set out below.
Warranty Duration: This warranty to the original retail owner only is only
valid in the original country of purchase and shall be of no further effect
1 year after the date of original retail sale. This warranty will be deemed
invalid if the Product is: (A) Damaged or not maintained as reasonable
and necessary, (B) Modied, altered or used as part of any conversion
kits, subassemblies, or any congurations not sold by Uniden, (C)
Improperly installed, (D) Repaired by someone other than an authorized
Uniden Repair Agent for a defect or malfunction covered by this warranty,
(E) Used in conjunction with any equipment or parts or as a part of a
system not manufactured by Uniden. (F) Only available in the original
country of sale.
Parts Covered: This warranty covers for one (1) year, the Product and
included accessories.
Statement of Remedy: In the event that the Product does not conform
to this warranty at any time while this warranty is in effect, the warrantor,
at its discretion, will repair the defect or replace the Product and return
it to you without charge for parts and service. This warranty does not
provide for reimbursement or payment of incidental or consequential
damages. This EXPRESS WARRANTY is in addition to and does
not in any way affect your rights under the TRADE PRACTICES ACT
1974 (Cth) (Australia) or the CONSUMER GUARANTEES ACT (New
Zealand).
Procedure for obtaining performance or warranty: in the event that
the Product does not conform to this warranty, the Product should be
shipped or delivered, freight prepaid, with evidence of original purchase
