MiCard PLUS-2 V2
1
1Introduction
The MiCard PLUS-2 V2 is a USB card reader that combines proximity and contactless
technologies into one single reader. MiCard PLUS-2 V2 possesses the capabilities of
reading both 125 kHz proximity cards and 13.56 MHz contactless cards. This reader
eliminates the need for manual entry and provides error-free identification and
security throughout the workplace. The MiCard PLUS-2 V2 allows users to use their
building access card / time tracking card or any 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz tags/labels for
identification in conjunction with Canon MEAP enabled devices (V3.0.8 onwards),
Canon SFP MEAP devices (V1.0.2 onwards), a microMIND V2 (since firmware V2.0.5)
with an attached reader and the uniFLOW Embedded Applet for Hewlett-Packard /
Samsung / Océ Large Format Printers. The plug and play reader comes with flash
memory, allowing the user to quickly configure the output to meet the needs. With its
dual-frequency multi-technology, the MiCard PLUS-2 V2 is highly configurable and can
hold four different ID card configurations (2 are pre-set and 2 are user definable).
The reader can be configured to add characters before or after the card’s data.
2Connection
Connecting the Card Reader
Connect the card reader to the USB 2.0 port at the rear side of the device.
Using the USB port at the front side / user panel might cause the error message:
"An unsupported USB device is connected."
3Beep Status
The MiCard PLUS-2 V2 reader is equipped with a beeper which emits different beep
tones for different statuses. The table below shows the status information given by the
beeper.
