3 CONDITIONS OF USE AND WARNINGS
The fog generated by UR Fog does not create articular roblems or injuries for a human being for a short stay in a
fogged room if the system is used according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Generated fog is certified as
safe for eo le and animals from an authorized international certification com any and is roved that it does not
leave any residual. UR Fog Fast line are certified res ecting Euro ean laws and regulations. Any certifications required
in s ecific countries are a res onsibility of the distributor of that s ecific country. The documents related to
certifications can be requested by mail to su [email protected]. It is not guaranteed by the manufacturer the use of UR
Fog system in the resence of objects that may be damaged anyway by the contact with substances based on glycol,
water and alcohol. Any em loyee or worker that may be ex osed to fog must be warned in advance and must be
checked for any allergy to the substances listed above. At the date of rinting of this manual it has never been ointed
out any roblem related to any allergy. UR Fog is in no way res onsible for any damage or condition of use that has
not been required and s ecifically a roved by any s ecific written request rior to the installation of its roducts. For
fog fluid lease refer to UR Fog fluid safety data sheet ublished on the website and carefully read it at
www.urfog.com. Contact a doctor if for any reason you swallow fog fluid or if after contact with eyes or skin you have
any kind of reaction, and in any case wash it immediately with water and soa . Do never stay for a long time in a
room filled with fog. Do not use charged cylinders that are not the ones suggested by UR Fog and never try to recharge
them, they are made for a single use. Follow your national rules for the dis ose of em ty cylinders. Kee UR Fog
cylinders out of reach of babies and animals. The nozzle may be hot and touching it may cause burns. Do not look
directly into the nozzle. Never use UR Fog roducts for any ur ose that is not related to rotection from thief or
robbery (the choice of the conditions of use in case of robbery will be suggested by your security consultant).
Never use different fog fluids or add any other substance into the cylinders. Do not use or kee charged UR Fog
machines in vehicles and do never trans ort UR Fog before 24 hours since it has been shut off. During trans ort it

4 INTALLATION TIPS TO INSTALL FOGGING SYSTEMS –
RECOMMENDATIONS
Please observe the following instructions for mounting UR Fog:
1. T e mac ine must be installed avoiding to obstruct escape routes.
2. Verify t e fog does not limit t e visibility near: stairs, landings, moving objects t at
may cause: falls down, injuries or any damage to persons.
3. Do not look directly into the nozzle. Do not add any other substance into the cylinders.
4. The nozzle may reach high tem eratures, touch it may cause burns.
5. When UR Fog roduces fog avoid staying closer than 1 meter from the machine.
6. When UR Fog is armed avoid staying closer than 50 cm from the nozzle.
7. Before testing UR Fog, remember to re ort it in advance to the firefighters in your area to avoid false alarms.
8. Remember to ut warning labels about the resence of UR Fog on the windows.
9. Re ort its installation to the firefighters in your area and eventually to other institutions if needed.
10. It is necessary to add an external switch to se arate the fog generator from the alarm system and it should be activated
before the maintenance to avoid that in ut tests, for exam le, can activate the fog generator.
11. Never direct the fog jet towards an object or a wall less than 2 meters away and if ossible increase the suggested minimum
distance. Thanks to the ower of the jet, UR Fog reaches and exceeds more than 10 meters away in the first 3 seconds from
the oint where the machine is installed.
12. Setting the shooting time interval between the minimum and maximum shown in the time table, avoid “overshooting” even
if the roduced fog is dry and generally doesn’t leave residue. A shot that goes far beyond the recommended seconds can
create a residue roblems in the room.
13. Install at an height of about 2,5 meters not to let it be reached, avoiding ossible tam ering.
14. Install with a maximum inclination of 20°.
15. Do not move the machine when it is still hot.
16. The main body of UR Fog Fast line, which has the heating system enclosed inside a metal frame, should not be o ened unless
by s ecific and authorized service centers. Do not o en and touch for any reason the insulation before 24 hours UR Fog has
been shut off. The internal art may reach really high tem erature.
17. Do not activate the UR Fog machine before the installation is com leted.
18. Insert the cylinders as the last rocedure and verify the anti-tam ering function.
19. When the installation is finished, always test the system.
20. From the moment of UR Fog activation, at least one hour is necessary to reach the minimum tem erature needed for the fog
shooting.
21. Install UR Fog avoiding any obstacles in front of it which can revent the s reading of the fog.
22. Request to UR Fog or its distributors to take art in courses for installers to ensure the o timal installation of the equi ment.

5 HOW TO ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM
It is always recommended to fix the machine on a wall even when it is laced on a flat surface.
Always verify that the bracket or the su ort surface are suitable for the weight of the machine.
It is suggested not to install the machine behind walls in a limited close area without a s ecific
ventilation to revent a ossible overheating.
.
In case of installation at the ceiling, it is recommended to use the s ecific o tional bracket
In case of installation on a false ceiling or behind a wall it’s ossible to ask for a nozzle extension, available in 7cm or
10cm.
NB in case of horizontal installation in a false ceiling, the frontal art
of the fog generator needs to be distant from the table to in order
to allow the air circulation and avoid faults due to over tem erature of
the electronic board.
Remember also to use the security screw that you can see in the cylinders com artment.
After removing the machine from the ackage, unscrew the screws that sto the right side anel and remove it. Pay
attention to the screw below on the left as it’s longer than the others, unscrew the anti-tam er screw from the
internal art and then the screws of the cover.
Inside it is ossible to see the front art of the electronic circuit, from here on called PCB.

8 BATTERY POWER
N.B. It’s available an optional power supply wit c arger of NiMH batteries and relays outputs – see paragrap 10
The batteries are intended to maintain the efficiency of the electronic board, allowing the fog emission even in
absence of ower su ly from the electricity grid, until the heating system has a sufficient tem erature.
The batteries also have the ur ose of activating the motors that lift u the lates holding the cylinders, even when
the main ower su ly or 12V from the alarm system is available.
Without batteries, with dead batteries, rechargeable or oor quality ones, the motors do not lift u the lates that
ush the cylinders.
For this reason it is im ortant:
- To use only high quality alkaline batteries
- To re lace them within the ex iry date
- to re lace them every 12 months anyway
- When Fast 01 re ort the signal of low battery (Paragra h 15)
- Test the battery case during every maintenance (Paragra h 15)
After inserting the batteries, it is im ortant to check that they are in good contact with the battery case to guarantee
the ro er functioning. For a descri tion on how to make tests, refer to Paragra h 15.
9 DESCRIPTION AND INPUT AND OUTPUT CONNECTIONS
INPUTS
1 + 12V Power input
2GND Power input
In these in uts is necessary to rovide a stable su ly, between 11V and 14V C.C. from the alarm
control anel or from an external 12V ower su ly.
This ower is necessary to the o eration of the LED and for the logic of o eration.
In the absence of voltage on this in ut, the logic art will continue to o erate, but the heater will not. For
about 2 hours and 30 minutes, or until the tem erature of the heat exchanger (heating system) will allow, Fast
01 may roduce fog.
The maximum current drawn from UR Fog on this in ut is 230 mA.
3ARM Arming input
By connecting this in ut to ositive, Fast 01 is armed, blue frontal led is switched on and when the machine
reaches ro er tem erature it means that it is ready for shooting.
In case of alarm, when o ening ARM in ut, the fog emission sto s immediately, even if the time set wasn’t
reached.
4SHOOTS s ooting input
Putting t is input to positive, if Fast 01 is hot and armed, starts fog emission for the set time (see
aragra h 13)
5GND Negative reference
Installation and use manual FAST 01 NEW 220V Page 7 of 21

6
OUTPUTS
7EMPTY Empty cylinder output
This out ut (NPN O en Collector) closes towards negative direction when at least one of the two cylinders is
em ty.
8Fault Fault output
This out ut (NPN O en Collector) closes towards negative when there is a serious malfunction ( such as
ex ired batteries, fault of ower su ly or tem erature control fault), which com romises the functioning of
the device and which requires a technical action
9Tamper Tam er out ut
This out ut (NPN O en Collector) closes towards negative direction when you o en the door cylinders or
when the accelerometer detects a sudden movement (such as the detachment from the wall)
10 GND Negative reference
To comply with the requirements of the reference standard EN50131-8
Remember, it is necessary to connect all three out uts to an alarm central or an
electronic anel that can see all those information in real time and take ro er action.
In order to avoid accidental activation with subsequent fog emission, the in uts are in
"negative security", for this reason the disconnection of a wire does not cause
activation.
So it is necessary to check carefully the reliability of connections and rotect the cables
to the control anel to avoid the risk of accidental damages.
10 OPTIONAL BOARD / BATTERY RECHARGER / 4 RELAYS
OUTPUTS
The o tional board RelBat 4out, rovides 4 relays out uts clean connections and settable NO o NC by
utting the jum er as in the icture below.
First 3 out uts are, as in the traditional board, the signal of em ty cylinder, the signal of fault and,
and the signal of tam er.
The 4th out ut changes its state after “successful shot”
If the shot command is given when the heat exchanger in not in tem erature (maybe after an
electrical failure) or in the 20 seconds inhibition time after arming, it will not change its state.
Installation and use manual FAST 01 NEW 220V Page 8 of 21

Another interesting feature of RelBat board is the resence of a smart internal battery recharger for NiHM
batteries, that manage it to o timize the lifes an over the years and allows to change alcaline batteries
rovided.

12 FRONTAL LEDs
BLUE LED ON and FIXED signals the machine is armed and ready to shoot, if the heater has
reached the working tem erature
ON and FLASHING signals a fault.
See aragra h 17 FAULTS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
RED LED It is ON when at least one cylinder is em ty
See aragra h 14 CYLINDERS EXCHANGE AND RESET
GREEN LED ON and FLASHING indicates the heating rocess is in rogress At this oint, Fast
01 is not ready to shoot.
ON and FIXED Fast 01 is hot and ready for fog emission.
IF BLUE LED IS FLASHING, TOGETHER WITH A CONTINUOUS SOUND FROM THE BUZZER, A SERIOUS
ANOMALY IS DETECTED. SEE PARAGRAPH 17
13 SHOOTING TIME SETTING
To set the shooting time, after o ening the cylinders com artment
door as showed in Paragrap 5, at the to of the PCB, you must
ut the P3 jum er to the left osition (closer to the S1/S2
buttons).
Then, holding down the S1 "SET", 3 LEDs on the front will start
flashing and each flash is equivalent to one second.
If you ress the button again, the shooting time is not added to the
one reviously set, but will restart from zero.
N.B. T e button in t e cylinders compartment s owed in next paragrap , is linked to Set/Reset button,
Therefore, after setting shooting time, it is recommendable to lace the P3 jum er in RESET osition (right
side), in order to make this o eration without removing the cover and avoid to zero shooting time.
Installation and use manual FAST 01 NEW 220V Page 11 of 21

N.B. Before opening side door ensure t at t e control panel is set to "service", so t at t e opening of "anti-
sabotage or tamper" circuit does not cause any s ooting.
TABLE OF RECOMMENDED SHOOTING TIME, DEPENDING ON m³ TO PROTECT
Shooting time for each cylinder varies de ending on ambient tem erature and ty e of nozzle em loyed.
T e following table is drafted considering standard conditions.
m³ of fog Seconds of emission m³ of fog Seconds of emission m³ of fog Seconds of emission
50 From 1 to 3 400 From 8 to 19 750 From 16 to 32
100 From 2 to 5 450 From 9 to 20 800 From 18 to 36
150 From 3 to 7 500 From 10 to 21 850 From 20 to 40
200 From 4 to 9 550 From 11 to 22 900 From 22 to 44
250 From 5 to 12 600 Fr om12 to 23 1000 From 24 to 48
300 From 6 to 15 650 From 13 to 25 1100 From 26 to 52
350 From 7 to 18 700 From 14 to 28 1200 From 28 to 56
The value in the first column indicates the volume of the room to be rotected, with res ective seconds of emission
re orted in the second column.
The value in m³ varies de ending on the density to be obtained.
Within the second column, the first value allows to get the maximum density recommended to ensure the absence of
any residual, while with the second value you get minimum recommended visibility of about 50 cm, whereas a higher
visibility would make the fog su erfluous.
In laces where a little residual causes no roblems, it is ossible to increase the shooting time.
Please note that the higher the fog released, the more the time required to recover visibility. High levels of fog, over
recommended limits, can leave residual.
Any residual generally disa ears in 24/48 hours without intervention, otherwise, it is sufficient a dam rag to clean.
If you want to get a visibility of one meter after 60 seconds as required by EN50131-8 standards, which is used as a
reference by all manufacturers of Fog Cannons, you need to double the value re orted in M3 column.

FOG FLOW DIRECTION
To ensure t e rig t direction to fog flow, it is recommended to insert a
screwdriver of t e diameter of t e ole and, wit out forcing, orient t e
nozzle in t e correct direction.
T is allows you to clearly see t e direction and keep it in place w ile
tig tening.
To screw and unscrew t e nozzle, you s ould use a pair of pliers in good
condition, to avoid damaging t e plating.
Do not overscrew t e nozzle, it is sufficient t at t e Teflon nozzle does not
move.
Do not flow directly on objects or walls less than 2 meters away or to the floor
if it is installed at a height lower than 2.50 meters.
WARNING!! After fog emission and for few minutes, t e nozzle is very ot
RISK OF BURNS IF TOUCHED by bare ands
14 INSTALLATION AND CYLINDERS EXCHANGE
The cylinders for FAST-series are guaranteed to work until the ex iration date indicated on the to .
Ex ired cylinders should be substituted even if not yet used / exhausted.
It is recommended to return them to your dealer, who will handle the dis osal.
After removing the screws of the door, sim ly take away the cylinders and
reset the warning light for em ty cylinder. After this o eration, insert the new
cylinder until you hear the "click" of the lastic su ort at its to that goes into
the slot, then close the door.
If the cylinder seemed "stuck" in the u er art do NOT with force, make a
ressure with two fingers on the to of the cylinder, such as to lower it. Then
try again to remove it.
If the cylinder does not enter, check if cylinder late of the motor remains
lifted. If so, see Paragrap 16.
In case only one em ty cylinder has to be re laced, it is recommended to
re lace it with the full one already in the machine, while a new cylinder will go
to re lace the latter.
This in order to ensure ro er rotation of the cylinders and to avoid that a
cylinder can remain unused for a long time within the device.
W en you close t e door, t e buzzer will make a sound to confirm t e tamper is closed.
Attention: Before opening t e side doors, make sure t e alarm control panel is in "service"
mode, so t at t e opening of "anti-sabotage or tamper" circuit will not cause any alarm.
Installation and use manual FAST 01 NEW 220V Page 13 of 21

15 MAINTENANCE
UR Fog generators do not require s ecial care, however, it recommended an annual ins ection by qualified and
authorized ersonnel, taking into account the following:
- The charged cylinders have a redetermined duration of 3years.
- The ex iry date is rinted on the to of the cylinder.
- Annually check the functioning of the cylinder lates.
- Check the air tightness of the neumatic circuit and the o eration of the ressure switch.
- The efficiency of the batteries is crucial to guarantee o eration
- We recommend to give back to your dealer cylinders which are ex ired but not exhausted
- Em ty cylinders, by being aluminum / steel, can be recycled as common cans
UP / DOWN CYLINDER PLATES- SCROLLING TEST
The scrolling check is erformed by activating the motors without cylinders with the following sequence:
1) Close the jum er W3 thus utting the card in "service mode"
2) Close the P3 jum er in RESET osition (right side)
3) Hold down the S1 button, the buzzer bee s and this sequence
begins:
- Motor 1 Down
- Motor 2 Down
- Motor 1 U
- Motor 2 U
4) Release the S1 button (In this situation you feel the noise
of the nozzle tam er um and a slight smoke may be ejected from
the nozzle).
5) Remove the jum er W3
6) With a slight finger ressure on the cylinder late of the first motor,
then ress again S1.
7) After re lacing the cylinder late of the first motor, while kee ing
S1 ressed, move the finger to the second cylinder late.
If you do not want to erform a com lete test, but sim ly to lower A CYLINDER PLATE AFTER activation without the
cylinder, refer to the sequence showed above, starting from ste 6.
If there were no roblems, scrolling test is over, otherwise contact the service center.
If the lates have com letely come u , you will need two down cycles for re ositioning.
T e motors of t e cylinder plates are always powered from t e batteries, so any action will reduce
t eir lifespan.
Installation and use manual FAST 01 NEW 220V Page 14 of 21

CHECKING OF THE PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT AND PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM
The neumatic seal test should be done within a few seconds from when the um for nozzle tam er is activated, as
nozzle tem erature rises ra idly and reaches values that may cause severe burns.
The air coming out of the nozzle exceeds 200 ° C.
You may verify if the neumatic circuit is correctly sealed, by obstructing the nozzle, while the um is still on. If there
are no losses inside the circuit under ressure, within a few seconds the buzzer will be activated and make a sound.
Otherwise, contact the maintenance service .
If the buzzer sounds before closing the nozzle, it means that there is an obstruction or a malfunction. In this case,
contact the maintenance service.
VERIFICATION OF BATTERIES AND BATTERY CASE
You need to re lace the batteries:
- After one year of use
- Within ex iration date rinted on them
- When it is re orted they are exhausted.
If the batteries run out, a sequence of acoustic signals will start as follows:
- 2bi /minute exhausting batteries
- 3bi / minute machine can’t shoot, battery too low
- 10bi / minute batteries are missing absent or bad contact on the battery case, lug or cable interru ted.
Any anomaly of the batteries also causes the activation of "fault" out ut, useful to remotely signal a ossible anomaly.
When discharged batteries are removed from battery case, the buzzer will sound a sequence of 10bi s er minute.
After re-inserting the batteries, it is suggested to wait at least for one minute, in order to verify that the sequence of
bee s is not re eated.
If the sequence of bee s does not sto , you should verify the olarity of the batteries is correct and, in that case, that
the batteries are in contact with the battery case.
At this stage, it may be useful to use a tester.
It is necessary to use high quality alkaline batteries.
It is ossible to use lithium batteries - ask information to your retailer
W en you close t e door, t e buzzer will sound to confirm t e anti-tamper system is correctly closed.
16 RESET FOR SERIOUS FAULTS
Serious faults can occur in the following cases:
- Tem orary error of thermocou le, due to lightning or interference (resettable)
- Difference of otential on ground connection (resettable)
- Brackage of the thermocou le (contact the technical su ort)
- Failure of the heater (contact the technical su ort)
- Interru tion of the thermal fuse (contact the technical su ort)
When a serious fault occur, besides changing the state of FAULT OUTPUT (see Paragra h 11), the red LED flashes and
the buzzer emits a continuous sound for the next 20 minutes, after this eriod the buzzer will sto automatically,
while the red LED will continue flashing until the machine will be totally unarmed (220V/110V, 12V, batteries) for
some seconds.
At ower on, the electronic board will enter stand-by mode for 30 minutes and this status will be signaled by an
alternative flashing of red and blue LED. Don not switch off the electronic board before 30 minutes, because in this
case time count will start from zero again.
In case, after this rocedure, the machine is still in alarm status, contact the technical su ort

17 FAULTS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
At ower on, you hear a
relay clicking cyclically It is not a fault
When the machine is still cold or just shot, until it
reaches the working tem erature, a relay is activated
together with the triac, in order to lower ower
consum tion
At ower on, you do not
hear a relay clicking
When the electronic board is
owered on, the micro rocessor
makes a diagnostic test
During the test, although green leds are flashing, the
heater is not working.
Wait few minutes
Fixed green led The heater reached the working tem erature, so the
relay is not activated, if not occasionally
Green led owered off No 110/220V ower su ly, verify there is a tension on
the ower connectors and wait few minutes
When the machine gets
armed, you hear a buzz
similar to a s inning
motor
The com ressor verifies there is
not any obstruction or sabotage
in the fog emission circuit
The com ressor monitors the nozzle for about 15
minutes
After this time, it deactivates automatically.
Even if the machine gets unarmed, the com ressor
kee s on working u to 15 minutes.
If the machine is unarmed and then rearmed, time count
starts from zero.
When the machine gets
armed, if never shot, the
nozzle will blow a little
fog
All our machines are tested
during trial hase, thus a little
fog fluid always remain inside
the i es
This ejection occurs when the machine is ut into
o eration for the first time and rogressively decreases
until it com letely disa ears.
It can also occur after disassembling, reinstalling or
trans ort, during the first times the machine is activated.
The buzzer emits 1
bi /minute
The +12 V in ut voltage is too
low or too high Check the external ower su ly or the alarm unit
The buzzer emits 2
bi s/minutes Low battery but can still shoot Re lace batteries – See aragra h 15
The buzzer emits 3
bi s/minute Low battery, can not shoot Re lace batteries – See aragra h 15
The buzzer emits 10
consecutive bee s each
minute
No batteries inside Insert batteries
False contact battery case Move the batteries, turn them
Connector not inserted correctly Remove and reinsert the connector
In any case it is useful to use a tester to verify the resence of voltage on the battery case
The machine is armed
(BLUE LED ON)
But does not shoot
The front red LED is on
Reset of cylinders has not been made
Reset as described in aragra h 14
Em ty cylinders – Change the cylinders as descrive in
aragra h 14
The front green LED flashes
The heat exchanger has not yet reached minimum
tem erature for shooting, waiting for flashing light to
sto (average heating time is 60’)
After arming, the machine does
not acce t shooting command
For security reasons and to avoid false fog emissions
at ower on, when the machine is armed, it
becomes effectively o erating only after 20”. After
this time, the emission is instantaneous.
Wiring error Verify, once the alarm is on, that there is a tension of 12
V at least between - GND(5) + SHOOTS(4)

Blue LED flashes
The Buzzer sounds
continuously
BLUE and RED LEDs flash
alternatively
Overvoltage (110/220V)
Try to make a system reset like in Paragra h 16
In case of unsuccessful reset, ossible fault of the
electronic board, contact technical su ort.
Over tem erature of the
electronic board
Verify that thare is sufficient ventilation Paragra h 5
For reset see Paragra h 16
Disturbances / interferences or
otential differences between
equi ments
Strong interferences (lightning) can cause a reading error
of the thermocou le, recover Paragra h 16
An unsuccessful reset may be due to otential
differences or to a fault.
In large size lants with more than one fog generator
connected to the same alarm centre, they may create
otential differences between equi ments and it can be
necessary to uncou le them.
Error in the heating system
Possible faults: thermocou le, resistance or fuse
Do not try to re air
Contact tecnical su ort
Does not arm,
BLUE LED does not ower
on Wiring error Verify, once the alarm is on, that there is a tension of 11
V at least between - GND(5) + ARM(3)
When ressing the
cylinder reset button, the
buzzer doesn’t sound and
all front LEDs flash but
red LED does not reset

CAUTION!!!
In t is case s ooting time as been reset
Cylinders reset – Paragra h 13
Shooting time setting - Paragra h 12
The cylinder does not
enter The late is raised Follow instructions in aragra h 14
The cylinder does not exit The cylinder is stuck in the
valvebody Pressure down and the ull
