Propeller Type Water Current Meter with a hoop to protected the current meter from floating debris and
having permanent magnet mounted on its shaft conforming to I.S. 3910 - 1966 Standard duly calibrated
from a Government - Recognized Institute having range 0.3 m/sec to 3.5 m/sec with multiple propellers.
The water current meter is supplied in highly polished wooden box with wading rod, electrical cable,

Introducon
The pygmy water current meter is used for measuring the flow velocity of water in rivers open
drainage system and small canals.
Design
The meter body design is of cylindrical shape and made up off brass. Signalsare generated
virtually without any power by an impulse device actuated by magnet which is mounted on the
sleeve od
the propeller The encapsulaon of the impulse device is completely waterght and
pressure ght thus allowing reliable measurements to be obtained even in waters chemically
aggressive, heavily soiled or mixed with sand and bed load.
Servicing
The current meter is a precision instrument and should be handled with due care in order to
ensure high metering accuracy. Rinse the current meter aer every applicaon in clear water
and dry it carefully storeit in given box.

CUP TYPE WATER CURRENT METER
Introducon:
Cup Type water current meter along with Micro-controller based Digital
Water Velocity Indicator hasbeen designed to measure the Velocity of water in a flowingstream
or open Canal. It comprises a Cup Type Water Current Meter & Microcontroller based Digital
Water Velocity Indicator. Micro-controller calculates velocity ofwater as per the calibraon
equaon provided with the Sensorand displayed on the 16x2 LCD display. You can save upto 56

readings. This instrument is portable, hand-held easyto use, Baery status indicaon, User
Friendly Menu drivenprogrammable funcons. This instrument has a Cup type current meters
are scaled two fihs as large as thestandard type current meter, it does not have a tailing
assemblyand is used with the wading rod. Its range of operaonsis 0.3 to 3.3 meter per second.
The 2 inch diameterbucket wheel contains cups a single contact closure is madeeach movement
of the bucket wheel. The calibraon chartprovided with the meter gives the velocity in m/sec

First of all place the wading rod at the center of base plate & insert by screwing the wading rod
as shown below.Aer

the floor.
