Die Ventile VV-B 6 / VV-B 6C und VV-B 15C sind nur zum Anschluss an das VACUUBRAND
BUS-System VACUU•BUS bestimmt!
Nach dem Auspacken Bauteile auf Vollständigkeit und Beschädigungen überprüfen.
Alle anwendbaren einschlägigen Vorschriften (Normen und Richtlinien) und Sicherheits-
bestimmungen beachten und die geforderten Maßnahmen durchführen sowie entspre-
chende Sicherheitsvorkehrungen tre󰀨en.
➨Das Saugleitungsventil (230V~ Version) nur mit einer Schutzkontaktsteckdose ver-
binden, nur einwandfreie, den Vorschriften entsprechende Netzkabel verwenden.
Schadhafte/unzureichende Erdung ist eine tödliche Gefahr.
➨Freisetzung von gefährlichen, giftigen, explosiven, korrosiven, gesundheitsschä-
digenden oder umweltgefährdenden Fluiden, Dämpfen oder Gasen verhindern.

• Netzspannung und Stromart prüfen (siehe Typenschild).
• In stromlosem Zusand sind die Ventile geschlossen. Liegt die Versorgungsspan-
nung an, ist das Saugleitungsventil geö󰀨net.
• Maximal zulässige Temperaturen und Drücke beachten (siehe ”Technische Daten”).
• Das zu evakuierende System sowie alle Schlauchverbindungen müssen mechanisch sta-
bil sein.
• Verträglichkeit mit den medienberührten Werksto󰀨en prüfen, siehe ”Technische Daten”.
• Dichtheit der Verbindung des Ventils mit der Verrohrung sowie Dichtheit und korrekten
Sitz der Ventilmembrane regelmäßig überprüfen, insbesondere bei Inbetriebnahme.
Durchussrichtung des Mediums beachten (siehe Pfeilrichtung auf Ventilgehäuse).
Eingri󰀨e am Bauteil nur durch sachkundige Personen.
Reparatur von eingesandten Bauteilen ist nur gemäß den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen

`Hinweise zur Gerätekennzeichnung (ATEX)
VACUUBRAND Geräte mit ATEX-Kennzeichnung (siehe Typenschild)
Die Einstufung nach ATEX ist nur für den Innenraum (medienberührter Bereich, geförderte Gase /
Dämpfe) des Geräts gültig. Das Gerät ist nicht geeignet für den Einsatz in einer externen, potentiell
explosionsfähigen Atmosphäre (Umgebung).
Die Gesamtkategorie des Geräts ist abhängig von angeschlossenen Bauteilen. Genügt das Zubehör
nicht der Einstufung der VACUUBRAND Geräte, erlischt die spezizierte Kategorie der VACUUBRAND
Geräte.
Vakuumpumpen und Messgeräte der Kategorie 3 sind zum Anschluss an Apparaturen bestimmt, in
denen bei Normalbetrieb eine explosionsfähige Atmosphäre durch Gase, Dämpfe oder Nebel normaler-
weise nicht oder aber aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach nur kurzzeitig und selten auftritt.
Geräte dieser Kategorie gewährleisten bei normalem Betrieb das erforderliche Maß an Sicherheit.
Die Verwendung von Gasballast und/oder Belüftungsventilen ist nur dann zulässig wenn sichergestellt
ist, dass dadurch normalerweise keine oder aber aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach nur kurzzeitig oder sel-
ten explosionsfähige Gemische im Innenraum des Geräts erzeugt werden.
Die Geräte sind mit ”X” (gemäß DIN EN ISO 80079-36:2016) gekennzeichnet, d. h. Einschränkung der
Betriebsbedingungen:
• Die Geräte sind ausgelegt für einen niedrigen Grad mechanischer Gefahr und sind so aufzustellen,
dass sie von außen nicht mechanisch beschädigt werden können.
Pumpstände müssen stoßgeschützt von außen und splittergeschützt (gegen Implosionen) aufge-
stellt werden.
• Die Geräte sind ausgelegt für eine Umgebungs- und Gasansaugtemperatur bei Betrieb von +10°C
bis +40°C. Diese Umgebungs- und Gasansaugtemperaturen dürfen keinesfalls überschritten wer-
den. Beim Fördern / Messen nicht explosionsfähiger Gase gelten erweiterte Gasansaugtemperatu-
ren, siehe Betriebsanleitung, Abschnitt „Gasansaugtemperaturen“ oder „Technische Daten“.
Nach Eingri󰀨en am Gerät (z.B. Instandsetzung / Wartung) muss das Endvakuum der Pumpe überprüft
werden. Nur bei Erreichen des spezizierten Endvakuums der Pumpe wird eine niedrige Leckrate des
Geräts und somit die Vermeidung explosionsfähiger Gemische im Innenraum der Pumpe sichergestellt.
Nach Eingri󰀨en am Vakuumsensor muss die Leckrate des Geräts überprüft werden.
Achtung: Die vorliegende Betriebsanleitung ist nicht in allen EU-
Sprachen verfügbar. Der Anwender darf die beschriebenen Gerä-
te nur dann in Betrieb nehmen, wenn er die vorliegende Anleitung
versteht oder eine fachlich korrekte Übersetzung der vollständigen
Anleitung vorliegen hat. Die Betriebsanleitung muss vor Inbetrieb-
nahme der Geräte vollständig gelesen und verstanden werden. Die
geforderten Maßnahmen müssen eingehalten werden oder können
in eigener Verantwortung durch gleichwertige Vorkehrungen ersetzt
werden.
Gilt nur für Produkte mit ATEX-Kennzeichnung. Bei Abbildung der Kennzeichnung auf dem Ty-
penschild des jeweiligen Produktes versichert VACUUBRAND GMBH + CO KG, dass das Gerät
konform mit den Bestimmungen der Richtlinie 2014/34/EU ist. Die dafür angewandten harmo-
nisierten Normen sind der EU-Konformitätserklärung zu entnehmen (siehe Betriebsanleitung).

Safety information!
The valves VV-B 6 / VV-B 6C and VV-B 15C are to be connected only to the VACUUBRAND
BUS system VACUU•BUS!
Remove all packing material, remove the product from its packing-box, remove the protec-
tive covers, inspect the equipment.
If the equipment is damaged, notify the supplier and the carrier in writing within three days;
state the item number of the product together with the order number and the supplier’s
invoice number. Retain all packing material for inspection.
Comply with national safety regulations and safety requirements concerning the use
of vacuum and electrical equipment. Comply with all applicable and relevant safety re-
quirements (regulations and guidelines), implement the required actions and adopt
suitable safety measures.
➨The in-line valve (230 V~) must be connected only to a suitable electrical supply and
a suitable earth point. Failure to connect to ground may result in deadly electrical shock.
➨Adopt suitable measures to prevent the release of dangerous, toxic, explosive, cor-
rosive, noxious or polluting uids, vapours and gases.
➨This device is not approved for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.
➨Valves without the ”`” mark on the rating plate of the control unit are not approved
for operation with dangerous or explosive gases or with potentially explosive or inam-
mable substances. Do not operate the valve with dangerous or explosive gases or with
potentially explosive or inammable substances.
➨VACUU•BUS valves bearing the ”`” mark on the rating plate of the control unit are ap-
proved for operation with potentially explosive atmospheres according to their ATEX clas-
sication imprinted on their rating plate, but they are not approved for operation in po-
tentially explosive atmospheres(see section „`Important information: Equipment
marking (ATEX)“, pg. 16).
➨Note: The equipment may be contaminated with chemicals, which have been pro-
cessed during operation. Ensure that the equipment is completely decontaminated be-
fore maintenance commences. Take adequate precautions to protect people from the
e󰀨ects of dangerous substances if contamination has occurred. Use appropriate protec-
tive clothing, safety goggles and protective gloves.

☞Use only OEM spare parts and accessories.
• Check that mains voltage and current conform with the equipment (see rating plate).
• If idle, the in-line valves are closed. If energised, the in-line valves are open.
• Comply with max. permissible temperatures and pressures (see ”Technical data”).
• Check that the system to be evacuated and all hose connections are mechanically sta-
ble and that all ttings are secure.
• Check that the connections between in-line valve and tubings are leak-tight. Check the
valve diaphragm regularly for leak-tightness and correct seating, especially prior to ini-
tial operation.
• Ensure that the materials of the wetted parts are compatible with the pumped substanc-
es, see section ”Technical data”.
Check that the gas is owing in the correct direction (shown by the arrow on the valve
housing).
Ensure that maintenance is done only by a suitably trained and supervised technician. In
order to comply with law (occupational, health and safety regulations, safety at work law
and regulations for environmental protection) components returned to the manufacturer
can be repaired only when certain procedures are followed.

` Important information: Equipment marking (ATEX)
Only valid for products with ATEX marking. If the ATEX marking is shown on the rating plate of
the respective product, VACUUBRAND GMBH + CO KG assures, that the device complies with
the provisions of the directive 2014/34/EU. The applied harmonized standards are indicated in
the EC Declaration of Conformity of the Machinery (see instructions for use).
VACUUBRAND equipment bearing the ATEX mark
(see rating plate)
The classication according to ATEX is only valid for the inner part (wetted part, pumped gas or vapor)
of the equipment. The equipment is not suitable for use in external, potentially explosive atmospheres
(environment).
The overall category of the equipment depends on the connected components. If the connected compo-
nents do not comply with the classication of the VACUUBRAND equipment, the specied category of
the VACUUBRAND equipment is no longer valid.
Vacuum pumps and vacuum gauges in category 3 are intended for connection to equipment in which
during normal operation explosive atmospheres caused by gases, vapors or mists normally don’t occur;
or, if they do occur, are likely to do so only infrequently and for a short period only.
Equipment in this category ensures the requisite level of protection during normal operation.
The use of gas ballast or the operation of venting valves is only permitted if thereby explosive atmo-
spheres normally don’t occur in the interior of the equipment or, if they do occur, are likely to do so only
infrequently and for a short period.
The pumps are marked with ”X” (according to DIN EN ISO 80079-36:2016), i.e., restrictions of the op-
eration conditions:
• The equipment is designated for a low degree of mechanical stress and has to be installed in a way
so that it cannot be damaged from outside.
Pumping units have to be installed so that they are protected against shocks from the outside and
against glass splinters in the event of breakage (implosion).
• The equipment is designated for an ambient and gas inlet temperature during operation of +10 to
+40°C. Never exceed these ambient and gas inlet temperatures. If pumping / measuring gases
which are not potentially explosive, extended gas inlet temperatures are permissible. See instruc-
tions for use, section “Gas inlet temperatures” or “Technical data”.
After any intervention at the equipment (e.g., repair / maintenance) the ultimate vacuum of the pump
has to be checked. Only if the pump achieves its specied ultimate vacuum is the pump’s leak rate low
enough to ensure that no explosive atmospheres will occur in the interior of the equipment.
After any intervention at the vacuum sensor, the leak rate of the equipment has to be checked.
Attention: This manual is not available in all languages of the EU. The
user must not operate the device if he does not understand this manu-
al. In this case a technically correct translation of the complete manual
has to be available. The manual must be completely read and under-
stood before operation of the device. All specied measures must be
applied, or else must be replaced by equivalent measures at the user’s

Notes importantes!
Ne raccordez des électrovannes VV-B 6 / VV-B 6C et VV-B 15C qu’au système bus de
VACUUBRAND VACUU•BUS!
Lors du déballage, vériez qu’aucun dommage n’a été occasionné durant le transport et
que la livraison est complète.
Respectez les prescriptions et exigences de sécurité nationales relatives et toute
autre exigence de sécurité (les normes et les directives) et prenez les mesures de pro-
tection appropriés.
➨Connectez l’électrovanne d’isolement (230 V~) à l’alimentation électrique uniquement
sur une prise normalisée avec che de terre, conforme aux normes. En l’absence de
mise à terre, vous risquez un choc électrique mortel.
➨ Empêchez la libération des substances dangereuses, toxiques, explosives, corro-
sives, malsaines ou dangereuses pour l’environnement.
➨Des électrovannes sans marquage « `» sur la plaque signalétique de l’appa-
reil de contrôle ne sont pas conformes à un travail avec des gaz dangereux ou
explosifs ou des gaz, qui peuvent former des mélanges potentiellement explosifs
ou inammables.
➨Des électrovannes VACUU•BUS avec marquage « `» sur la plaque signalétique
de l’appareil de contrôle sont conformes à un travail avec des gaz classés « at-
mosphère explosible » selon le classement ATEX imprimé sur la plaque signalétique,
mais elles ne sont pas conformes à une utilisation en atmosphère explosible (cf
chapitre « `Notes importantes concernant le marquage des appareils (ATEX)»).
➨Attention: La vanne peut être contaminée avec des produits chimiques pompés pen-
dant l’utilisation. Assurez vous qu’elle soit décontaminée avant que la maintenance ne
commence. Portez des vêtements de sécurité appropriés si vous entrez en contact
avec des composants contaminés.

☞N’opérez pas des électrovannes endommagées!
☞Ne démontez pas une électrovanne étant sous pression ou sous vide!
☞Utilisez uniquement des pièces de rechange et des accessoires originaux.
• Vériez que la tension et la nature du courant sont compatibles avec celles du dispositif
(cf plaque signalétique).
• En état sans courant, les électrovannes sont fermées. Les électrovannes sont
ouvertes, si elles sont sous tension.
• Observez les températures et les pressions max. admissibles (cf «Données tech-
niques»).
• Assurez la stabilité mécanique du système à évacuer, du matériel raccordé et des rac-
cords de tuyau.
• Veillez à ce que les substances soient compatibles avec les matériaux exposés à ce
milieu, cf chapitre «Données techniques».
• Contrôlez l’étanchéité de la connexion entre la vanne et le tubage. Contrôlez régulière-
ment l’étanchéité de la membrane de vanne et qu’elle soit bien en place, en particulier
en mise en service la première fois.
Observez la direction d’écoulement (cf direction de la èche sur le carter de vanne).
Les interventions sur le produit ne doivent être e󰀨ectuées que par un personnel qualié.
Comme stipulé dans les réglementations statutaires (réglementations relatives aux risques
professionnels, à la santé et à la sécurité et réglementations concernant la protection de
l’environnement), les composants qui sont retournés au fabricant ne peuvent être accep-
tés, traités ou réparés que sous certaines conditions.

`Notes importantes concernant le marquage des appareils (ATEX)
Appareils VACUUBRAND avec marquage ATEX (voir plaque signalétique)
Le classement selon ATEX est valable seulement pour l’intérieur de l’appareil. L’appareil n’est pas
approprié pour l’utilisation dans un atmosphère externe potentiellement explosible (l’environnement).
La catégorie générale de l’appareil dépend des composants raccordés. Si les composants ne se
conforment pas aux exigences des appareils VACUUBRAND, la catégorie spéciée des appareils
VACUUBRAND n’est plus valable.
Les pompes à vide et les vacuomètres de catégorie 3 sont destinés à être raccordés aux appareils
dans lesquels, lors d’un fonctionnement normal, une atmosphère explosible due à des gaz, vapeurs ou
brouillards ne peut pas normalement se former, ou de manière peu probable et pour une courte période.
Les appareils de cette catégorie assurent le niveau de protection requis lors d’un fonctionnement nor-
mal.
L’utilisation de lest d’air et/ou le fonctionnement des vannes d’aération sont seulement admissibles s’il
est assuré qu’aucuns mélanges explosibles dans l’intérieur de la pompe ne peuvent normalement se
former, ou de manière peu probable et pour une courte période.
Les appareils sont marqués avec «X» (selon DIN EN ISO 80079-36:2016), c.-à-d. limitations de la condi-
tion de fonctionnement:
• Les appareils sont prévus pour un faible risque de contraintes mécaniques seulement et doivent être
installés de façon qu’ils ne peuvent pas être endommagés mécaniquement à l’extérieur.
Les groupes de pompage doivent être installés protégées contre les chocs à l’extérieur et protégés
contre les éclats (contre l’implosion).
• Les appareils sont prévus pour une température ambiante et une température du gaz pompé / me-
suré pendant le fonctionnement de +10°C à +40°C. Les limites de températures ambiantes et de
températures de gaz pompé / mesuré ne doivent être dépassées en aucun cas. Si des gaz non
potentiellement explosibles sont pompés / mesurés, des températures élargies de gaz sont valables,
voir mode d’emploi, section «Températures des gaz aspirés» ou «Données techniques».
Après une intervention sur l’équipement (p.ex. réparation / maintenance) il faut contrôler le vide limite de
la pompe. Seul un vide spécique atteint par la pompe et à travers de cela un taux de fuite bas permet
d’éviter la formation de mélanges explosibles à l’intérieur de la pompe. Après une intervention sur le
capteur de pression il faut contrôler le taux de fuite de l’équipement.
Attention: Le mode d’emploi présent n’est pas disponible dans
toutes les langues d’Union Européenne. L’utilisateur ne doit mettre
le dispositif en marche que s’il comprend le mode d’emploi présent
ou si une traduction complète et correcte du mode d’emploi est sous
ses yeux.
Le dispositif ne doit pas être mis en marche avant que le mode
d’emploi ait été lu et compris complètement et seulement si le mode
d’emploi est observé et tous les mesures demandées sont prises
ou remplacées sous propre responsabilité du l’utilisateur par des
mesures équivalentes.
Seulement valable pour les produits avec marquage ATEX. Si le marquage est imprimé sur la
plaque signalétique du produit respectif, VACUUBRAND GMBH + CO KG assure que le dispositif
est conforme aux dispositions de la directive 2014/34/EU. Les normes appliquées et harmo-
nisées à cet e󰀨et se trouvent dans la déclaration CE de conformité des machines (voir mode
d‘emploi).
