INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION AND CARE
Your new fan comes to you completely assembled and ready to operate. We suggest that, upon removing the unit
from its carton, you carefully inspect it for any possible damage in transit. When using the fans, note the directional
airflow indicator on the external shell. This is the way the air moves.
Prior to plugging in, inspect inlet and outlet screen and remove debris which may restrict airflow movement.
When used with duct.
A. Do not install duct when fan is in operation.
B. Place duct lip over duct adaptor, secure firmly, note direction of airflow.
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The wire of this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BROWN - LIVE
YELLOW/GREEN - EARTH
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug proceed as follows:
The wire coloured brown must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter - L - or coloured red.
The wire coloured blue must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter - N - or coloured black.
The wire coloured yellow/green must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter E or (earth sign).
Ensure that your machine is connected correctly.
If you are in any doubt consult a qualified electrician.
This appliance must be protected by a 13A fuse if a 13A (B.S. 1363) plug is used or, if any other type of plug is used,
by a 15A fuse either in the plug or adaptor or at the distribution board.
Certain job site locations are classified as being hazardous because the atmosphere may contain gas vapour or dust
in explosive quantities.
THE FAN MUST NOT BE UTILISED BY ITSELF FOR PORTABLE AIR VENTILATION PURPOSES. SAFETY CAN
ONLY BE ASSURED AFTER MAKING THOROUGH GAS DETECTION TESTS COMBINED WITH FAN
VENTILATION AND CONTINUAL RETESTING.
Keep the Fan blade clean from debris. Accumulation of dust, dirt, paint etc on the Fan blade will throw the blade
rotation out of balance resulting in damage.

EXPLOSIVE AND/OR FLAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE OF ANY CLASS OR GROUP. OPERATION OF
THE FAN IN AN EXPLOSIVE OR FLAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE MAY RESULT IN PROPERTY
DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.

ALWAYS ASSUME A CONFINED SPACE WORK AREA IS CONTAMINATED UNTIL IT HAS BEEN
PROVEN SAFE FOR WORK PERSONNEL. NEVER ENTER A CONFINED SPACE WORK AREA
UNTIL IT HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY TESTED WITH APPROPRIATE GAS DETECTION
EQUIPMENT AND PROVEN SAFE FOR WORK PERSONNEL.

ALWAYS SHUT OFF THE FAN AND UNPLUG IT FROM ITS POWER SOURCE TO PREVENT
ACCIDENTAL STARTING AND THE POSSIBILITY OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK AND/OR
ELECTROCUTION. BE SURE THE FAN BLADE HAS STOPPED ROTATING BEFORE PLACING
ANY OBJECTS OR FINGERS NEAR THE FAN GRILL.

Congratulations on your purchase of a new Miniveyor Air VAF-200 Fan from Miniveyor Products
Ltd. Your new unit was designed to provide you with maximum performance and service and
comes with the advantage of a 10 year warranty upgrade on the fan body. To register and take
advantage of this 10 year warranty upgrade PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE
ENCLOSED WARRANTY VALIDATION FORM WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE.
The Miniveyor Air fans work on positive and negative airflow and are designed either to extract
dust and fumes or blow clean air into a workspace. Please read the Operating Manual carefully to
ensure you get the most from your new unit.

Do not allow anyone to operate the equipment without first reading the Operators Manual and becoming
familiar with its operation.
PREPARATION
• Become familiar with Fans operation before utilising this Fan
• Confirm the Fan is in its original, factory configuration and has not been modified in any manner.
• Minors should not be allowed to operate the Fan.
• Guard against the possibility of back related injuries. Always lift the Fan with leg muscles and not with the
back.
• Periodically inspect the Fan visually for damaged or worn parts
• Know how to STOP the Fan quickly in an emergency. Turn unit off at (on/off) switch located on side of unit or
unplug Fan from power supply.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
These instructions are for your protection and convenience. Please read them carefully since failure to follow these
precautions could result in discomfort or injury. When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should
always be followed.
• Never put units into standing water because of the extreme shock hazard.
• Never allow air intake screens to be plugged.
• Never discharge flammable dry cleaning solvents or kerosene based chemicals through the air intake screens.
• Do not use in areas where flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline may be present.
• Never put any object in the intake screen unless the unit is unplugged and the wheel has stopped.
• Never run the units outside when it is raining. Never store the units outdoors.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
• Use units only with properly grounded outlet.
• Do not leave fan plugged in when not in use. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
• Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If fan is not working as it should, because it has been dropped, damaged, left
outdoors, or dropped into water, contact an Authorized Service Centre.
• Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on a cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or
corners. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug not the cord.
• Do not handle plug or cord with wet hands.
• Do not put any objects into intake screens.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from intake screens.
NOTE: Do not allow any water inside motor! If motor becomes wet for any reason, thoroughly dry before using the
units. Never remove the ground from the power cord, as this may result in electrical shock. This would also void
warranty.

DESIGNED FOR TRANSPORTING LIQUID OR SEMI-SOLID MATERIALS.

EVEN DEATH.

EVEN DEATH. TO REDUCE THIS RESPONSIBILITY; GIVE COMPLETE AND UNDIVIDED
ATTENTION TO THE JOB AT HAND. AN ENVIRONMENTS ATMOSPHERE CONSTANTLY
CHANGES, THEREFORE, IT’S RECOMMENDED THAT AIR MONITORING/GAS DETECTION
EQUIPMENT BE USED FREQUENTLY. IF TESTS SHOW THAT THE ATMOSPHERE QUALIFIES
AS A HAZARDOUS LOCATION (AN AREA WHERE THE POSSIBILITY OF EXPLOSION AND FIRE
IS CREATED BY THE PRESENCE OF FLAMMABLE GASES, VAPOURS, DUST, OR FIBRES)

Return and Repair Policy
DAMAGED IN FREIGHT
Though it is a very rare occasion, shipping containers and/or their contents can be damaged during shipping. Open
and inspect every package regardless of how the box looks. If the box is physically damaged and/or the parts are dam-
aged, you must report this to the freight company or notate on the bill of lading that the box/or parts are damaged be-
fore you sign and accept the shipment. DO NOT sign the bill of lading without making a note of the damage. Freight
claims cannot be resolved without this notation from the recipient. In no case can we allow for this to be longer than 7
days. We are limited to the amount of time in which we can file a claim.
RETURN AUTHORISATION NUMBER (RAN)
Before a Purchaser ships a product back to VAF Air, the Purchaser must obtain a valid RAN number following comple-
tion of a Warranty Claim Form (W3) which can be obtained from VAF Air at [email protected]m Boxes received with-
out an authorised RAN number will be refused. When preparing the item for return please ensure that the RAN
number is clearly visible on a label on the outer covering.
Please have the following information ready when requesting a RAN number:
•Reason for return.
•Product model number and quantity to be returned.
•Serial number of each product.
•Customer name and return address.
•Company where product was purchased and when it was purchased.
•Copy of invoice and/or packing slip
PACKAGING
Items must be returned in its original packaging. This includes the plastic sleeve the product came in, along with
cardboard separators. Original packaging will help protect the unit from freight damage upon return.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Items may not be returned to VAF Air if items contain customer markings, or stickers.
The following conditions are NOT covered by our warranty and can be refused for credit or return:
•Normal “wear and tear”
•Improper packaging by customer causing freight damage.
•Failure to provide a suitable operating environment.
•Use of the product for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
•Failure to monitor or operate the product in accordance with applicable manufacturers specifications and good
industry practice.
•Unauthorised attachment, removal, or alteration of any part of the product.
•Unusual mechanical, physical, or electrical stress, scratches or dents.
•Modifications or repairs done by parties other than the seller.
•Abuse, misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.

MINIVEYOR PRODUCTS LTD (MINIVEYOR) hereby warrants its product to be free from defects in material and/or
workmanship at the time of delivery, as determined by the commercial invoice, to first user, subject to the conditions
and limitations set forth herein.
1. WARRANTY
For a period of twelve (12) months following delivery to first user, or of eighteen (18) months from dispatch from the
MINIVEYOR factory, whichever expires earlier, as determined by the commercial invoice, MINIVEYOR will repair or
replace at its sole option, any defective part or parts, returned by Buyer FOB (INCO Terms 2000) to MINIVEYOR or its
authorised distributor. Customer must pay all transportation charges, duties, and taxes associated with such return.
On validation of the warranty upgrade, MINIVEYOR further warrants that for a period of ten (10) years, the
cabinet/housing of axial and centrifugal air flow devices manufactured by MINIVEYOR, will be free from defects in ma-
terial or workmanship, or MINIVEYOR, at its option, will repair of replace the defective part(s), provided that all labour
and shipping costs for the defective part(s) shall be bourne by the end-user.
2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
It is expressly understood that MINIVEYOR’s liability for its product, whether due to breach of warranty, negligence,
strict liability or otherwise, is limited to repair or replace, and MINIVEYOR will not be liable for any other injury, loss,
damage or expense whether direct or consequential, including but not limited to loss of use, income, profit, production,
increased cost of operation, spoilage of or damage to material, arising out of the sale, installation, use of, inability to
use, or the repair or replacement of MINIVEYOR’s products.
2.1 Any breakage or damage resulting from installation or operation or use not in accordance with MINIVEYOR’s
published installation and operating instructions are not covered by the warranty.
2.2 Any operation expressly prohibited in the operating instructions or any adjustment or assembly procedures not
recommended or authorised in the operating or service instructions, or operation or use beyond published capacities,
substitution or interchanging of parts or any alterations not approved by MINIVEYOR should void the warranty.
2.3 MINIVEYOR is not responsible for parts damaged by alteration, improper maintenance, use of non approved parts,
use of product while any parts are loose, broken, out of order, unauthorised service, accident or abuse.
2.4 MINIVEYOR’s warranty is voided if the serial number is removed or altered in any way.
2.5 MINIVEYOR assumes no other obligation or responsibility with respect to the products whatsoever, and no employee
or representative is authorised to change or extend this warranty in any way or grant any other warranty whatsoever.
2.6 MINIVEYOR specifically disclaims any responsibility for any damages of any kind or description, whether to property
or person in any way connected with or arising out of the use of its product.
2.7 Except as specifically noted in MINIVEYOR literature or bulletins, MINIVEYOR does not warrant that its product is
compatible with any specific equipment or attachments.
3. ALTERATIONS
MINIVEYOR reserves the sole right to make alterations or modifications in the product at any time, which in their
opinion, may improve the performance and efficiency of the product. They shall not be obliged to make such
alterations or modifications to products already in service.
4. WARRANTY PROCEDURE
The selling distributor or authorised dealer shall be responsible for complete handling of customer claims under this
warranty. Contact your dealer’s service department and provide them with the complete serial number. They will then
verify coverage and liaise with MINIVEYOR. Example: LX09019349 (10 digits, found on label to the right of the sockets
or stamped under the adjacent side cover). Warranty claims cannot be considered unless the serial number is provided.
5. LAW
Any dispute relating to warranty would be governed by English Law and dealt with through the English courts.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND MINIVEYOR EXTENDS NO OTHER WARRANTY
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
