Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of our product.
Before using the watch, read this instruction manual carefully to
ensure correct use.
After reading this manual, store it in a safe place for future
reference.
To check the movement number
A case number-4 alphanumeric characters
and 6 or more alphanumeric characters-is
engraved on the case back. (Figure on the
right)
A combination of 2 numbers (4 digit and 6 or
more digit) is engraved on the case back of
your watch.
In the example on the right, “1234” is the
movement number.

This manual contains the following the instructions that should be strictly fol-
lowed at all times to prevent injury to yourself and other persons as well as
damage to property.Understand the meaning of the following symbols and read
pages from 14 to 25.

<Protective stickers>
Be sure to remove any stickers covering the metal parts (back cover, band,
clasp) or glass of the watch before use. Otherwise, perspiration or moisture
may enter the gaps between the protective stickers and the parts, which
may result in a skin rash and/or corrosion of the metal parts.
<Band adjustment>
Do not adjust the length of the band (metal or rubber) yourself. If you fail to
perform the work properly, the watch may fall off, or an injury may occur
during adjustment. (If you purchase a product which is sold with a special
tool for band adjustment, you may carefully adjust the band yourself.)
For band adjustment, consult the shop where you purchased the watch or
your MB Service center. Other shops may not be able to handle the watch,
or may charge a fee.

Before setting the time and calendar
•Whenthescrewdowncrownisequippedonyourmodel,loosen
the screw before operation. After operation, return the crown to
the normal position and tighten it.
•Thedateanddaychangeataround0:00a.m.Takecaretoseta.m.
and p.m. correctly by referring to the 24 hour hand or calendar
indication.
•Turntheminutehand4-5minutespastthecorrecttimeand
then turn it back to the correct time. The time on the watch
can then be set to the correct time by pushing in the crown in
synchronization with a time service tone.
Before using

Caution on setting the calendar
•Donotadjustthecalendarwhilethetimebelowisindicated:
Between9:00p.m.and2:00a.m.
The calendar may not change properly if the calendar is adjusted
in the period. Move the hands out of the period before the
calendar adjustment.
•Adjustthecalendaratthebeginningofthefollowingmonths:
March,May,July,October,December.
The illustrations in this instruction manual may differ from the actual
watch in its design, the position of the crown and calendar, etc.

<Adjusting the chronograph hands to the 0 position>
Adjustthechronographhandstothe0position(upright)when
theydonotreturntothe0positionafterreplacingthebatteryor
inflicting a strong shock.
1. Pull out the crown to position 2
2. Press button Bto adjust the chronograph second hand to
the 0 position.
(The chronograph second hand moves counterclockwise when
you press button A.)
•Thehandmovescontinuouslybypressingandholdingit.
3. Push in the crown to position `
4. Press the button Ato reset the chronograph.
Check all the chronograph hands is set to the 0 position.
•Whileyouadjustthechronographhands,thewatchisstopped.

Caution To Avoid Injury
• Beparticularlycarefulwhenwearingyourwatchwhileholdingasmallchild,to
avoid injury.
• Beparticularlycarefulwhenengagedinstrenuousexerciseorwork,toavoid
injury to yourself and others.
• DoNOTwearyourwatchwhileinasaunaorotherlocationwhereyourwatch
may become excessively hot, since there is the risk of burns.
• Becarefulwhenputtingonandtakingoffyourwatch,sincethereisariskof
damaging your fingernails, depending on the manner in which the band is
fastened.
• Takeoffyourwatchbeforegoingtobed.

Caution Precautions
• Alwaysusethewatchwiththecrownpushedin(normalposition).Ifthecrown
is of the screw lock-type, make sure it is securely locked.
•DoNOToperatethecrownoranypushbuttonswhenthewatchiswet.Water
may enter the watch causing damage to vital components.
•Ifwaterentersthewatchorthewatchfogsupanddoesnotclearupevenafter
a long time, consult your dealer or Authorized Service Center for inspection
and/or repair.
• Evenifyourwatchhasahighlevelofwaterresistance,pleasebecarefulofthe
following.
- If your watch is immersed in sea water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and
wipe with a dry cloth.
- Do not pour water from a tap directly onto your watch.
- Take off your watch before taking a bath.
• Ifseawaterentersthewatch,placethewatchinaboxorplasticbagand
immediately take it in for repair. Otherwise, pressure inside the watch will
increase, and parts (crystal, crown, push button, etc.) may come off.

Caution Wearing your Watch
<Band>
• Leather,genuineskinandrubber(urethane)bandswilldeteriorateovertime
due to perspiration, body oils and dirt. Be sure to replace the band periodically.
• Thedurabilityofaleatherbandmaybeaffectedwhenwet(fading,peelingof
adhesive), owing to the properties of the material. Moreover, wet leather may
cause a rash.
• Itisrecommendedtotakeoffthewatchifitgetswet,evenifthewatchitselfis
water resistant.
• Donotwearthebandtootightly.Trytoleaveenoughspacebetweentheband
and your skin to allow adequate ventilation.
• Therubber(urethane)bandmaybestainedbydyesorsoilpresentinoron
clothing or other accessories. Since these stains may not be removable,
caution is required when wearing your watch with items that tend to easily
transfer color (articles of clothing, purses, etc.). In addition, the band may be
deterioratedbysolventsormoistureintheair.Replacewithanewonewhenit
has lost elasticity or become cracked.
• Pleaserequestadjustmentorrepairofthebandinthefollowingcases:
- You notice an abnormality with the band due to corrosion.
- The pin of the band is protruding.

• Wedonotrecommendattemptingtoadjustthewatchbandyourself.Special
expertise and experience is required for proper adjustment. If not adjusted
correctly, the band may become detached leading to loss of your watch. (Some
retailers may supply a band adjustment tool with your purchase).
For band adjustment, we recommend you consult the retailer from where the
watch was purchased or your nearest Authorized Citizen Service Center. Some
repair shops may charge a nominal fee for adjustment if the watch was not
purchased directly from them.
<Temperature>
•The watch may stop or the function of the watch may be impaired in extremely
high or low temperature. Do not use the watch in places where the temperature
is outside the operating temperature range as stated in the specifications.
<Magnetism>
• Analogquartzwatchesarepoweredbyastepmotorthatusesamagnet.
Subjecting the watch to strong magnetism from the outside can cause
the motor to operate improperly and prevent the watch from keeping time
accurately. Do not allow the watch to come into close proximity to magnetic
health devices (magnetic necklaces, magnetic elastic bands, etc.) or the
magnets used in the latches of refrigerator doors, clasps used in handbags, the
speaker of a cell phone, electromagnetic cooking devices and so on.
