1 Safety
1.1 Action-related warnings

are classified in accordance
with the severity of the pos-
sible danger using the follow-
ing warning symbols and signal

1.2 Intended use
There is a risk of injury or death
to the user or others, or of dam-
age to the product and other
property in the event of im-
proper use or use for which it
is not intended.
The products are designed
to heat up water at an indi-
vidual draw-off point, partic-
ularly at hand wash basins.
These products are not de-
signed for supplying a shower.
The products can be used in
open or closed systems.
Intended use includes the fol-
lowing:
–observance of the operating
instructions included for the
product and any other install-
ation components
–compliance with all inspection
and maintenance conditions
listed in the instructions.
This product can be used by
children aged from 3 years
and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning
use of the product in a safe way
and understand the hazards in-
volved. Children must not play
with the product. Cleaning and
user maintenance work must
not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.
Any other use that is not spe-
cified in these instructions, or
use beyond that specified in this
document, shall be considered
improper use. Any direct com-
mercial or industrial use is also
deemed to be improper.

1.3 General safety
information
1.3.1 Danger caused by
improper operation
Improper operation may present
a danger to you and others, and
cause material damage.
▶Carefully read the enclosed
instructions and all other ap-
plicable documents, particu-
larly the "Safety" section and
the warnings.
▶Only carry out the activities
for which instructions are
provided in these operating
instructions.
1.3.2 Risk of death due to
changes
to the product or the
product environment
▶Never remove, bridge or
block the safety devices.
▶Do not tamper with any of the
safety devices.
▶Do not damage or remove
any tamper-proof seals on
components.
▶Do not make any changes:
–The product itself
–The water and electricity
supply lines
–to the drain pipework
–to constructional condi-
tions that may affect the
operational reliability of the
product

improper repair work
▶If the power supply cable is
damaged, never replace this
yourself.
▶Contact the manufacturer,
customer service or a simil-
arly qualified person.

3 Product description
3.1 Product designation
This product is an electric instantaneous
water heater.
The hydraulically controlled small instant-
aneous water heater heats the domestic
hot water directly at the draw-off point.
The domestic hot water heating element
starts automatically when the water tap
is opened. An installation with short lines
guarantees minimal heat losses. The avail-
ability of domestic hot water at the draw-off
point depends on the following factors:
–Water temperature at the cold water
connection for the small instantaneous
water heater
–Heating element output
–Flow rate quantity
The bare-wire heating element is suit-
able for various water hardness levels
(hard and soft). This heating element is
not sensitive to scale deposition.
The heating element guarantees fast and
efficient domestic hot water generation
at the sink. Installing the enclosed flow
regulator guarantees an optimum jet of
water.

3.4 CE marking
The CE marking shows that the products
comply with the basic requirements of the
applicable directives as stated on the de-
claration of conformity.
The declaration of conformity can be
viewed at the manufacturer's site.
4 Operation
4.1 Switching on the product
Danger!
Risk of scalding caused by
hot water
During operation, the domestic
hot water temperature can
reach 50 °C and above. As of
a domestic hot water temper-
ature of 43 °C, there is a risk of
scalding.
▶We recommend operating
the product with a filter at the
cold water connection and
a flow regulator at the water
tap for the draw-off point.
▶Only start up the product once the cas-
ing has been completely closed.
▶Open the valve and/or activate the
sensor for the valve with infrared detec-
tion. The domestic hot water heating
element starts automatically. The tem-
perature can be adjusted at the valve.
▶You can find the required minimum flow
rate for starting the heating element
in the technical data in the installation
instructions.
4.2 Increasing the water
temperature
Condition: Even though the tap is set to the max-
imum temperature, the water temperature is too low
for you.
▶Decrease the flow rate at the tap.
4.3 Lowering the water
temperature
Condition: Even though the tap fitting has been set
to the minimum temperature, the water is too hot.
▶Increase the flow rate quantity at the
tap fitting or increase the cold water
volume.

damaged, never replace this
yourself.
▶Contact the manufacturer,
customer service or a simil-
arly qualified person.

Danger!
Risk of electric shock
If there are faults or leaks, there
is a risk of electric shock.
▶Earth the product.
▶If a fault occurs, use the par-
tition that is installed on-
site (e.g. fuses or power
switches) to disconnect the
product from the power sup-
ply.
▶In the event of a leak at the
unit, close the cold water
supply immediately.
▶Have the fault eliminated
by customer service or a
competent person.
▶Use the table in the appendix to elimin-
ate the faults. (→Page 10)
▶If you are unable to eliminate the fault,
contact your competent person.
6 Maintenance
Availability, safety, reliability, and the ser-
vice life of the product can only be guar-
anteed by carrying out regular inspections.
The inspection may require maintenance
to be carried out earlier, depending on the
results.
6.1 Caring for the product
▶Clean the casing with a damp cloth and
a little solvent-free soap.
▶Do not use sprays, scouring agents,
detergents, solvents or cleaning agents
that contain chlorine.
6.2 Cleaning/checking the flow
regulator

1. Unscrew the terminal (1) for the water
tap.
2. Regularly check the flow regulator for
the water tap at the draw-off point in
order to clean or, if required, replace
it.
3. Each time you replace the flow regu-
lator (2), also replace the seal (3).
6.3 Cleaning/checking the draw-off
point
▶Regularly descale the draw-off point
using commercially available agents in
order to remove any scale depositions.
6.4 Procuring spare parts
The original components of the product
were also certified by the manufacturer as
part of the declaration of conformity. If you
use other, non-certified or unauthorised
parts during maintenance or repair work,
this may result in the product no longer
meeting the applicable standards, thereby
voiding the conformity of the product.
We strongly recommend that you use ori-
ginal spare parts from the manufacturer as
this guarantees fault-free and safe opera-
tion of the product. To receive information
about the available original spare parts,
contact the contact address provided on
the back page of these instructions.

▶If you require spare parts for mainten-
ance or repair work, use only the spare
parts that are permitted for the product.
6.5 Checking the product
▶Check during maintenance:
–Abnormalities on the product.
–The cleanliness of the water filter in the
cold water connector.
–The leak-tightness of the supply lines.
The electrical installation of the product
must only be checked by a qualified elec-
trician.
If the cold-water filter is dirty or damaged,
it must be cleaned and serviced by a com-
petent person.
7 Decommissioning
▶Disconnect the instantaneous water
heater from the power supply.
▶To have the product permanently de-
commissioned, contact your competent
person.
8 Recycling and disposal
▶The competent person who installed
your product is responsible for the dis-
posal of the packaging.
If the product is labelled with this
mark:
▶In this case, do not dispose of the
product with the household waste.
▶Instead, hand in the product to a collec-
tion centre for waste electrical or elec-
tronic equipment.
If the product contains batteries that
are labelled with this mark, these batteries
may contain substances that are hazard-
ous to human health and the environment.
▶In this case, dispose of the batteries at
a collection point for batteries.

A Eliminating faults

The power supply to the

rupted.
Check the circuit breaker (fuse) and, if required,
switch it on.
The flow regulator in the
water tap at the draw-off
point is calcified or dirty.
Clean and/or descale the flow regulator or, if
required, replace it.
The water inlet is interrup-
ted.
Purge the product and the cold water supply
pipe.
