SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all the safety and general instructions. Read and
observe the instructions included with all user manuals of
the Valeo Cyclee™ e-bike system before using your e-bike
for the rst time.
Failure to observe the safety instructions may result in
serious injury and/or re and/or electric shock.
Only use original Valeo Cyclee™ batteries that the manufacturer has
approved for your e-bike.
Any attempt to change the speed or power of your motor may
put yourself and others at risk, and you may also breach local
regulations.
Any modication or tting of components to your motor in order
to improve its performance may reduce the service life of the
motor. It may also damage components of the motor or the e-bike.
Modications to the e-bike system and the motor will void the
warranty on the e-bike you have purchased.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Product features
The GO 7 unit is composed of different elements shown in illustration
below.
Speed sensor
The speed sensor of your e-bike is a key element of its function.
The speed sensor is a part designed and distributed by the bike
manufacturer and is not a Valeo Cyclee™ spare part.
The function of the speed sensor is to communicate the bike speed to
the drive unit. The speed sensor is generally placed on the rear end of
the e-bike and is composed of a sensor placed on the bike frame and
a magnet placed on the rear wheel.
If the e-bike motor is not providing assistance, always check that the
speed sensor and the magnet are in place and not contaminated by
dirt or dust. Also ensure the speed sensor cable is not damaged and/
or cut.
You are also endangering your safety and the safety of other road
users, taking the risk of personal liability costs and possibly even
criminal charges in the event of accidents that can be attributed to
manipulation of the e-bike.
Do not open your motor. All repairs must be done by
professionals with specic tools and original Valeo spare
parts. Opening the motor will void any warranty claim.
Modication to components of the e-bike like chainrings for instance
must be approved by the e-bike manufacturer. This will prevent the
motor from overloading and damaging any component.
Remove the battery from the e-bike before beginning any
maintenance, repair, inspection work on the e-bike or transporting it
with a car or airplane, or even storing it. Unintentional activation of the
e-bike system poses a risk of injury.
When using the walk assist mode make sure there is enough space
between yourself and the e-bike as the pedals may turn at the same
time.
Under some conditions the external components of the motor may
reach a very high temperature. Avoid any contact between yourself
and the motor during or immediately after using the e-bike.
Observe all national regulations which set out the approved use of
e-bikes.
When an authorized Valeo dealer connects the e-bike to the Valeo
Diagnostic tool, data about the e-bike system such as voltage,
temperature, etc is transferred to Valeo for the purpose of product
improvement. You can nd more information about this on our
website at www.valeocyclee.com

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the other user manuals of the Valeo Cyclee™
e-bike system (Battery, Display, Charger) before using the
e-bike for the rst time.
Start riding
To get assistance from the e-bike motor it is essential that the following
requirements are met:
• The battery is charged and inserted in the docks (see battery user
manual)
• The system is switched ON (see display user manual)
• The speed sensor is activated when the e-bike is moving
• Rider pedal input is detected by the motor
The drive unit is activated as soon as you step on the pedals (except in
assistance level “OFF”). The motor output depends on the assistance
level selected.
As soon as you stop pedaling when in normal operation, or as soon as
you have reached the speed limit of your e-bike, the assistance from
the e-bike motor is switched off.
The motor is automatically reactivated as soon as you start pedaling
again and the speed is below the speed limit of your e-bike.
