The optional Wall Switch Kit 1265WSK can be installed to
operate the fireplace. The kit includes the switch plate
and cover plate (available in white only) and a 26 feet
(8 m) long wiring harness. The wall switch allows the
user to light and turn the flame up or down, but has no
thermostat or program features. The wall switch can
be used in conjunction with the thermostatic remote
control.
All wiring associated with this kit is low voltage (6 volts).
Special considerations are required if ganging this
switch with other switches of different voltage. Consult
your electrician.

Install Wall Switch Kit (recommended)
The wall switch is connected to the receiver in the
fireplace.
Note: You must complete the installation of the wall
switch, connect the battery holder, and test the wall
switch before synching the handset to the receiver. See
your fireplace’s installation instructions for details.
1. If connected, disconnect the battery holder from the
receiver.
2. Decide where the switch is to be installed in the
wall. Install an electrical outlet box or mud ring as
required (not supplied).
3. Thread the switch wire through an access hole in
the appliance toward the outlet box. The brown end
stays in the engine, the black end goes out to the
wall switch.
4. Pull out the receiver. You can remove the ignition
wire to improve access to the receiver.
5. Take the switch wire and plug the brown connector
into the receiver’s connection slot as indicated (the
other slot should already be fitted with the valve’s
wire harness connector). See diagram at right.
IMPORTANT: The connection can only be fitted one
way. Do not force it or damage the pins!
6. On the outside of the fireplace, run the switch wire
into the outlet box. Use insulated type staples to
secure the wiring to framing.
7. Plug the black end of the wire into the switch plate
connector.
8. Screw the switch plate into the installed outlet box.
9. Reconnect the ignition wire to the receiver if it was
previously removed.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the ignition wire DOES NOT
TOUCH the receiver’s antenna.
10. Connect the battery holder to the receiver.
IMPORTANT: The connection can
only be done one way.
Do not force it or damage the pins
on the receiver box!
11. Test the wall switch’s operation — see page 1.
12. Once operation is confirmed correct, fix the wall
cover plate to the outlet box.
13. Replace the receiver in its position, as well as the
antenna if deployed.

to remove batteries from receiver or handset!
This could cause a short-circuit to receiver.

1265WSK peut être installé pour commander le foyer.
Le kit inclut la plaque d’interrupteur et la plaque
de couverture (offertes en blanc seulement) et un

Installation
Nous suggérons d’installer l’interrupteur mural
1265WSK en même temps que le foyer. Il se branche au
récepteur de la télécommande. Le récepteur est situé
près de la soupape à gaz en-dessous ou à gauched de la
boîte de foyer.
1. Décidez où sera situé l’interrupteur. Installez une
boîte de raccordement électrique ou un cercle de
finition (non fournis) à cet endroit.
2. Insérez le fil de l’interrupteur dans un des trous
d’accès de l’appareil.
3. Sortez le récepteur du foyer. Vous pouvez débran-
cher le fil d’allumage pour y accéder plus facilement.
4. Branchez le fil de l’interrupteur dans la connexion
libre du récepteur (l’autre connexion est occupée
par le harnais de la soupape). Voir les schémas ci-
dessous.
IMPORTANT : Le connecteur ne peut être branché
que d’une seule façon. Ne le forcez pas!
5. De l’extérieur de l’appareil, acheminez le fil jusqu’à la
boîte de raccordement. Utilisez des crampons isolés
afin de fixer le filage à l’encastrement.
6. Branchez le fil à l’interrupteur et à la boîte de rac-
cordement.
7. Rebranchez le fil d’allumage s’il a été débranché.
IMPORTANT : Assurez-vous que le fil d’allumage
NE TOUCHE PAS l’antenne du récepteur.
8. Insérez 4 piles alcalines AA dans le récepteur.
9. Vérifiez le fonctionnement de l’interrupteur—voir
page 4.
10. Fixez la plaque mural à la boîte de raccordement.
11. Replacez le récepteur de même que son antenne si
elle a été déplacée.
IMPORTANT : L’antenne NE DOIT PAS TOUCHER le
fil d’allumage.

NE PAS METTRE DE PILES DANS LE RÉCEPTEUR DE
LA TÉLÉCOMMANDE!

Évitez de faire passer les fils au-dessus de la
boîte de foyer ou de les placer de façon à ce qu’ils
touchent la boîte de foyer.

Afin d’éviter un court-circuit, assurez-vous que
le fil d’allumage NE TOUCHE PAS l’antenne du
récepteur.

N’UTILISEZ PAS de tournevis ou autre objet
métallique pour enlever les piles du porte-piles
ou de la manette! Ceci pourrait court-circuiter le
récepteur.
