ensurethatyou arefullyfamiliarized withhowbestto
operatethemeterasaccuratelyand safelyaspossible.
Themeterisarotationalspeed measuringinstrument. It
isnormallyused tomeasurerotationalspeed,e.g.of
impellers, drumsand spindles.

1.1Precautionssafetymeasures
Toget thebestservicefromthismeter,pleaseread this
user'smanualcarefullyand observethedetailed safety
precautionsstrictly.
1.1.1During use
1.Forreliablemeasurementsitisnecessarytouse

reflectivemarkers.Toapplythereflectivemarkers,
waituntil theobjecttobemeasured hascometoa
standstill.
2.Theidealdistancetothemeasurementobjectis
between 10 and 40 cm.During themeasurement,
alwaysaimatthereflectivemarkerfromanangleof
approx.30 .Thisavoidsmultiplereflectionsfromthe
surface.
3.Ifnoreflectivemarkercan beattached,itmustbe
checkedwhetherthereflectivepropertiesofa
reflectivepointonthemeasurementobjectare
sufficientforrpmmeasurement. Inthiscase,aimat
themeasurementobjectfromthevertical,andcheck
whetheravalueisdisplayed.Ifthemeasurement
objectdisplaysseveralreflectionsperrevolution,the
numberofventilatorvanesmustbeset(e.g.reflective
ventilatorwith5vanes)inordertoobtaincorrectrpm
measurements.
4.IftheOLsymbolwill showontheLCD,itmeansthe

readingsisoutsidethemeasuringrange.Pleasekeep
tothepermittedmeasuringrange.
5. Neverstoretheproduct togetherwithsolvents,acides
orotheraggressivesubstances.
6.Whenthebatteryvoltageisunderproperoperation
requirement, the symbolwill showon theLCDand
thebatteryneed tobereplaced withnew.

lWhennotusing theinstrumentforalong time,
pleaseremovethebatteryand avoidstoringin
high temperatureand highhumidity.

1.Cutoutapartofthereflectivemarkerand attachit
totherotatingobjectwhichisundertest. And then
startthisrotatingobject.(Makesuretostop the
rotatingobjectfirstandthen pastethereflective
marker)
2.Puttheinstrumentwithenoughbatterypowerinthe
hand,pressthekeyand theLCDwill display0.0
afterpoweron.
3.Keeppressingthekey,themeterwill enter
themeasurementstateandlaunchabeamofred
laser. Point thelasertotheposition wheretherotating

objectsaffixed withareflectivemarker and maintain
thefixed location.Adjustthedistancebetween the
instrumentandrotatingbodyto10cm~60cm,the
distanceisbased onthereliableand stablevalue
whichcanberead bytheinstrument. At thispointyou
canread thespeed oftherotatingbody.
4.Aftercompleting themeasurement, pleaserelease
thekeyand theLCDwill maintainthevaluesince
lastmeasured.Ifyou still need moreoperations,
pleasesee thedescriptionofkeysinstruction.

thebacklight isnot closed within60 seconds, itwillbe
turned offautomatically.

Themetermaybewipeddownwithawetspongeor
clothusing amildwaterbased detergentor
anti-bacterialsoap and rinsed underagentlestream
ofcoldwater.
NOTE:
Thisunitisnotdesigned forcompletesubmersion or
washinginwater.
2. BATTERYREPLACEMENT
Usethefollowingprocedure:
Whenthebatteryvoltagedropbelowproperoperation
rangethe symbolwill appearontheLCD display
and thebatteryneed tobereplaced.
¥Pressthebatterycoverandtowardsarrowhead
directiontoopen thebatterycover.
¥Replacethebatterywiththreenew1.5Vbatteries
