TPT1210-1 SURFACE MOUNT DOCK — MODEL: TPT1210-1-SM-B
Overview
Vantage’s ultra-slim 1210-1 Surface Mount Dock allows
TPT1210-1 touchscreens to be easily docked on the wall with
virtually no more depth than the touchscreen itself. The dock
provides power and internet connections to the TPT, charging
the battery while docked. The Surface Mount Dock securely
holds the touchscreen, freeing both hands for touchscreen
navigation and operation. The mounting dock maintains a
clean finished look even when the touchscreen is not mounted.

System Requirements
This dock is compatible with all Vantage TPT1210-1 tablets.
Installation
Installation of Vantage products should be performed or
supervised by a Certified Vantage Installer. Turn the circuit
breaker off and make sure no voltage is present where the
dock is to be mounted. Damage caused by failure to
disconnect power may void the warranty and is a risk to
the installer.
Location/Electrical:
•The recommended mounting wall height is six inches above
that of a typical keypad station or approximately 50” to 58”
from the floor to the bottom of the dock. However, it may be
installed at any height fitting your installation requirements.
•Connect the high voltage wires from the dock to standard
house wiring, using approved high voltage wire connectors.
(See picture at right)
•Wiring:
oLINE = Black -or- Brown
oNEUTRAL = White -or- Blue
oGROUND = Green with Yellow Stripe
4-Gang Box Mounting Option One:
1. Reinforce the 4-gang Electrical box between the framing
studs. The box should be rigid and level.
2. Connect AC power to the Dock conforming to standard
National Electrical code. Electrical connections must be
made inside a, UL Approved, 4-gang box.
3. The Ethernet feed should be made In the opposite side of
the 4-gang box and if local code requires, the High Voltage
Divider must me attached to the Surface Mount Dock’s
back box. Please see illustrations of the high voltage
divider.
4. Trim the High Voltage Divider to properly fit into the
4-gang electrical back box.
5. Secure the Surface Mount Dock to the four outside screw
terminals of the 4-gang electrical box.
Retrofit Mounting Option Two:
1. Install a retrofit 4-Gang Electrical box.
2. Temporarily connect the dock to the four outside screw
terminals of the 4-gang electrical box.
3. Mark the Toggle-Bolt hole positions with a pencil, using the
dock as a template.
4. Unscrew the dock from the 4-gang box and drill 3/8” holes
for the Toggle Bolts.
5. Connect AC power to the Dock conforming to standard
National Electrical code. Electrical connections must be
made inside a, UL Approved, 4-gang box.
6. The Ethernet feed should be made In the opposite side of
the 4-gang box and if local code requires, the High Voltage
Divider must me attached to the Surface Mount Dock’s
back box. Please see illustrations of the high voltage
divider.
7. Trim the High Voltage Divider to properly fit into the
4-gang electrical back box.
8. Secure the Surface Mount Dock using the two outside
Toggle-Bolts and the 4-gang electrical box holes.
Mounting/Dismounting TPT1210-1
MOUNT:
1. Dock the TPT tablet by inserting the bottom first into the
self guiding cupped tray.
2. Carefully press back the top of the TPT touchscreen tablet
to completely lock the docking clamps.
3. Make sure it is locked before leaving by sliding the lock
lever on the top to the left.
REMOVE:
1. Unlock by sliding the lock lever on the top to the right
2. Remove the TPT by pressing in either the left or right side
levers – or both – and carefully tilting the top of the
touchscreen away from the wall while leaving the bottom
securely in the cupped tray.
3. Finish by carefully lifting the touchscreen from the tray.
