Airbag System
Theairbag system consists of several
separate systems.
Front airbag system
Thefront airbag system will be triggered
in the event of a seriousaccident involving
a frontalimpact and formssafety cushions
for thedriver and front passenger. The
forward movement of the driver and front
passenger is checked and the risk of
injuries to the upper body and head
thereby substantially reduced.
Side airbag system
The sideairbag is triggered in the event of
a side-oncollisionto form a safety cushion
forthe driver or front passenger in the
respective door area. This substantially
reduces therisk ofinjury totheupper body
and pelvis.
