This manual provides the required information on warnings, instructions and assembly. You should use this manual for more
than just the necessary sunbed assembly and/or maintenance instructions; you need to familiarize yourself with all of the
information provided. Persons who use the sunbeds need to be informed and supervised, and it is your duty to make sure they

Lamp information
The lamps listed below are those that are installed as standard equipment at the factory. These standard lamps have been selected for
optimal tanning results and to match the UV classication of your tanning appliance. We recommend that when you replace a lamp you
only use lamps of the type currently installed in your tanning appliance and which are listed in the table below and on the identication
plate. If you choose to install a dierent type of lamp, you must only use lamps that are marked with an equivalent code which indicates
that the UV component falls within the equivalence range listed on the identication plate.

Note: The total erythema is limited to 0.3 W/m² for all UV types within the EU.
Note: The equivalent code is only applicable to low-pressure uorescent lamps.
Example:
On the example identication plate shown the equivalent codes for the installed lamps are circled.
The equivalent code is 180-R-(97-129)/(8,1-10,9)
180 = the wattage of the lamp
R = the reector type
(97-129) = the equivalence range for the total eective erythema
(8,1-10,9) = the equivalence range for the NMSC ratio
Warning!
When it is necessary to replace the UV lamps, we recommend the use of original lamps of the type
prescribed on the identication plate. The use of other lamps increases the risk of technical problems with
the appliance that are not covered by the warranty. If you choose to replace lamps with non-original UV
lamps that have a matching equivalence code, it is important that you use lamps with identical technical
specications.
Warning!
The use of non-original VDL Hapro high-pressure lamps for facials will result in a danger of overheating or
other technical problems. The appliance might be damaged. Please consult the identication plate on the
appliance to determine which original VDL Hapro lamps are required.

Operation
The tanning appliance is set up for standard use with an external timer or a coinbox. If the appliance must function without the external timer or coinbox, i.e. with an internal timer, the required tanning
time will have to be adjusted according to the following procedure.
Hold the buttons for “body cooling o” and “body cooling on”down
together for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, the display will show“0”(tanning time).
By pressing the button“body cooling on” you can increase the
tanning time (maximum 30 minutes).
By pressing the button “body cooling o” you can decrease the
tanning time.
Pressing the“start” button conrms the adjustment.
When conrming, there will be a short electronic bleep tone.
If the use of an external timer is chosen, the indication “-A” will be
displayed.
The use of an internal timer will be indicated by the display of“-H”.
Operation in combination with an external timer or coinbox:
General:
If there is an external timer or coinbox, the machine starts up automatically.
By pressing the “stop” button once, the appliance’s operation will be paused. If the“stop” button is pressed several
times, the machine will remain set at pause. The machine will only stop when the tanning time has expired.
If the appliance is set at pause, it can be restarted by pressing the“start” button.
Note
Should the set up need to be interrupted, this can be done by pressing the “stop” button.
If no adjustment is entered within 30 seconds, the operation will return to its original settings.
When using an external timer or a coinbox, the tanning time indicator must be set at 0.
Note
The tanning time ascends numerically.

By pressing the“start”button once, the tanning time can be shortened.
The maximum tanning time will be indicated by the ashing numbers on the display.
The tanning time can be decreased or increased by using the “body cooling o and on”buttons.
By pressing the“start”button, the machine starts operating.
If during tanning the“stop”button is pressed once, the machine’s operation will be paused. The lights and ventilation
will go off. The tanning time continues to run down. The tanning session can be restarted at any time by pressing
the “start”button.
If the “stop” button is pressed a second time, the machine will turn into the standby mode. The tanning session has
now nished.
Operation without the use of an external timer or coinbox:

By pressing the“body cooling on”button, the body cooling can be turned on.
By pressing the“body cooling o”button, the body cooling can be turned o.

In order to read out the counter of the tubes, the “stop” button and the “body cooling on” button must be pressed
simultaneously for three seconds.

Example:
A. 759 hours is indicated as 75.
B. 9760 is displayed alternately with 1 second intervals as: 9. - 76. - 9. - 76.
By pressing the“body cooling o”button for 10 seconds, the counter is reset at 0 hours.
The counter for the entire machine gives the total number of hours, including the ventilation time. By pressing the
“stop and body cooling o”buttons simultaneously for three seconds, the timer can be read o the display.

If a fault is reported, the electronics will give o bleep tones to alert you. If one of the above mentioned faults appears on your
display, you must not use the machine and remove the plug from the socket. Contact your dealer for more guidance.

ries the Kema seal of approval.We provide a manu-
facturer’s warranty of 1 year.
Your new appliance has a manufacturer’s guaran-
tee of 1 year, which commences on the date of in-
stallation. Within the warranty period all faults that
are the result of material or manufacturing errors
will be repaired at no cost. Please contact your
dealer for any warranty enquiries.
In order to make a claim under the terms of this
guarantee, you must be able to produce the origi-
nal invoice or receipt bearing the date of purchase.
The type and serial number of the appliance
should also be indicated.
The warranty is subordinate to the national regula-
tions on product warranties.
