ometer.

Available Calibration Procedures -
Three alternatives can be used to calibrate the speedometer, AUTOCAL, PULSES and ADJUST.
(1) Auto Calibration (AUTOCAL) - Automatic calibration by driving a measured distance of 1 Mile or 1 Kilometer de-
pending on model of speedometer.
(2) Manual Calibration With a Known Value (PULSE) - By inputting a known Pulses Per Mile (or Kilometer) Ratio.
(3) Manual Calibration (Fine Tuning) (ADJUST) - For calibration using a reference speed indication.

A. Choosing the Calibration Mode
Press and hold push button on front lens, switch on the ignition and start the engine.
The display will alternate Autocal, Pulse and Adjust at 2 second intervals.
Select function required by releasing the button when this function is displayed.
B. Calibration
(1) AUTOCAL
After selecting the AUTOCL function, the display changes to “button” in 3 seconds.
At the beginning of the track, push the button once.
The display will now ash Start.
Drive the vehicle over a measured 1 Mile track and at the end of the track push the
button again.
The display will now show the measured pulse per Miles ratio.
This is an indication that the calibration was successful.
If the display shows “F 00” at the end of the procedure, it is an indication of no speed
signal.
Check the speed sensor wiring and try the calibration again.
(2) PULSE
After selecting the “PULSE” function, the display will show the stored pulse per Mile (or
Km) setting (Example: 060000). Press again the button, the last digit will start to ash.
Start entering the pulse ratio immediately. Shortly after that digit is set, the next digit will
ash and will be able to be set. This will continue until all digits have been set, at this
point the display will change to the odometer or the trim meter reading.
(3) ADJUST
After selecting “ADJUST” press the button once and the word “UP” will be displayed on
the LCD readout. Press it twice “DN” (for down) will be displayed. Make sure that the
input signal to the terminal “S” is set at the pulse you want.
When either “UP” or “DN” is showing, press the button again, and hold it in. If you hold
the button in just for a short time, the pointer will move slowly upwards or downwards,
depending on which mode you selected. This allows for a very accurate adjustment of
the pointer. Press and hold the button and the pointer will start rising slowly.
Release the button when the pointer reaches the position you want.
Do nothing if the setting is accurate, the data will be saved.
If you want to change the setting, repeat the procedure.
