1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.
Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Velleman! Please read the manual thoroughly before
bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do
not install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above,
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain,
moisture, splashing and dripping liquids.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an
authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages
of this manual.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force
when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage
caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the
warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not
covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for
any ensuing defects or problems.
Keep this manual for future reference.

6. Batteries
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as
they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-
rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of
batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep
batteries away from children.
1. Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the device.
2. Insert the batteries in accordance to the polarity markings.
3. Close the battery compartment.
7. Installation
7.1 Setting Date/Time
After battery installation, the LCD displays the year.
1. Turn the dial to select the digit.
2. Press BOOST/OK to confirm and set the next digit.
3. Set the month, day, hour and minutes.
7.2 Mounting
1. Unscrew the original thermostat unit from the valve.
2. Select the suitable adapter (Danfoss RA, RAV or RAVL) if necessary
and screw onto the valve.
3. Screw the digital thermostat onto the valve and tighten.
7.3 Test Run
After installation, the device will go into test mode. If the thermostat has
been installed correctly, the display will show

If the device has not been installed properly, the display will show F1 or F2.
oF1: The stroke is too large. Re-install the thermostat correctly and
press BOOST/OK to launch the test mode again.
oF2: The stroke is too small. The valve might be stuck/rusted and
the stroke experiences too much resistance. Unjam the valve, re-
install the thermostat correctly and press BOOST/OK to launch the
test mode again.
If the display keeps showing F1 or F2 and you are sure the thermostat has
been installed correctly, hold FUN pressed to overrule the test mode.
8. Operation
8.1 Setting the Temperature
The thermostat has several temperature modes:
comf mode
eco mode
In normal display mode, press PROG to enter the selection mode. The first
comf mode will flash on the display. Press BOOST/OK to enter the mode and
set the desired temperature using the setting dial. Confirm with BOOST/OK.
Set the temperature for comf mode 2, eco mode 1 and 2.
Confirm with BOOST/OK and enter the programming mode.
8.2 Setting the Programme
Programming your thermostat will happen in groups. These groups are:
Monday Sunday, Monday Friday, Saturday Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Each group can accept up to seven switching points (transition points
between different temperature settings).
After the temperature setting is finished, the thermostat will enter the
programming mode. If the thermostat is not in programming mode, press
PROG and BOOST/OK until the display show PROG.

Press BOOST/OK to enter the group selection mode. Select the group with
the dial.
Press BOOST/OK to enter the group programming mode. The thermostat
displays the first switching point (P1). Note that the time of this switching
point cannot be modified.
Press BOOST/OK to confirm. Now, select the temperature mode with the
dial.
Press BOOST/OK to confirm. Now, select the switching point time with the
dial. Press BOOST/OK to confirm and to enter the second switching
point (P2).

Continue programming accordingly to set the temperature mode and
switching point time for the selected switching point until all switching points
are set.

8.3 Temporarily Modifying the Temperature
Modifying the programmed temperature is simple: just rotate the dial to the
desired temperature. The thermostat will maintain the temperature until the
next switching point.
8.4 Group Execution Priority
By default, single-day groups have priority over multi-day groups. In other
words, if a single-day group is programmed differently than a multi-group,
the thermostat will follow the single-day group’s settings.
Note that modifying a setting in a multi-day group will automatically alter
the setting in the coinciding single-day group.

8.5 Selecting and Setting the Party/Holiday/Travel Modes
The thermostat offers the possibility to programme preset modes. To do so:
Press PROG and select one of the modes with the dial.

Press BOOST/OK to confirm. Select the hours/day with the dial. Press
BOOST/OK to confirm. Next, select the temperature with the dial. Press
BOOST/OK to confirm.
8.6 Selecting the Manual/Eco/Pos/Boost Modes

In normal display mode, press FUN to enter the desired mode:
oManual mode: Manual override of the auto mode. Rotate the dial to
the desired temperature.
oEco mode: In eco mode, the room temperature will be 3 °C lower
than the temperature in auto mode.
oPosition mode: Opening position of the valve from 0 to 100 %.
Rotate the dial to the set the opening percentage.
In normal display mode, press BOOST/OK to enter the boost mode. In boost
mode, the valve is completely opened for 300 seconds. The thermostat will
return to the previous status.

In normal display mode, hold PROG pressed to enter the basic parameter
setting mode. Rotate the dial to the desired option.
oTime: When the thermostat detects a sudden temperature drop, it
will close the valve until the set delay has elapsed.
oDec: Set the temperature for the opening-window mode.
oInc: Select to exit the opening-window mode.
oToe: The temperature measured by the thermostat can be higher
than the temperature away from the heater. Set the compensation
temperature to compensate for the temperature loss.
oTap: Select to control via standard or full stroke.
oRoom: Select to display the actual room temperature.
oDST: Select the daylight saving function.
oReset: Reset to the factory settings.
Press BOOST/OK to confirm your selection, rotate the dial to select an
option and confirm with BOOST/OK.
8.8 Other Functions
Locking Function
Hold FUN pressed to lock and unlock the buttons and dial.
Anti-Rust Function
The thermostat will automatically switch on if it has been idle for 7 days,
and this to prevent rusting of the stroke.
Anti-Freeze Function
The thermostat will automatically open the valve when the room
temperature drops below 5 °C, and will close the valve again as soon as the
room temperature has reached 8 °C.
9. Cleaning and Maintenance
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized
dealer for service and/or spare parts.
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use
harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

1. Inleiding
Aan alle ingezetenen van de Europese Unie
Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het
na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij
een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit
toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen.
Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

betreffende de verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.
Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar,
door personen met fysieke, zintuiglijke of verstandelijke
beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek aan ervaring en
kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder toezicht gebeurt van een
persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid of hun
aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe zij het toestel moeten gebruiken
en zich bewust zijn van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel
met zich meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen.
Reiniging en onderhoud mogen niet worden uitgevoerd door
kinderen zonder toezicht.
Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm dit
toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende
vloeistoffen.
Er zijn geen onderdelen in het toestel die door de gebruiker
gerepareerd kunnen worden. Contacteer uw verdeler voor
eventuele reserveonderdelen.

3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze
handleiding.
Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening van het toestel.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan het
toestel. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan
het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid
afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee
houden.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

6. Batterijen
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur
gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen
alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de
plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen buiten
het bereik van kinderen.
1. Open het batterijvak aan de onderkant van het toestel.
2. Plaats de batterijen. Respecteer de polariteit.
3. Sluit het batterijvak.
7. Installatie
7.1 Datum en tijd instellen
Na het plaatsen van de batterijen, knippert het jaartal op de display.
1. Draai aan de knop om het cijfer te selecteren.
2. Druk om BOOST/OK om te bevestigen en stel het volgende cijfer in.
3. Stel de maand, dag, uur en minuten in.
7.2 Montage
1. Draai de oorspronkelijke thermostaat van het ventiel.
2. Indien nodig, selecteer de geschikte adapter (Danfoss RA, RAV of
RAVL) en schroef op het ventiel.
3. Schroef de digitale thermostaat op het ventiel en draai vast.
7.3 Zelftest
Na de installatie schakelt het toestel naar de testmodus. Als de thermostaat
correct is geïnstalleerd, dan ziet de display er als volgt uit

Als het toestel niet correct geïnstalleerd is, geeft de display F1 of F2 weer.
oF1: De slagpen is te groot. Installeer de thermostaat opnieuw en
druk op BOOST/OK om de testmodus opnieuw te activeren.
oF2: De slagpen is te klein. Het ventiel kan vastzitten/vastgeroest
zijn en de slagpen krijgt te veel weerstand. Deblokkeer het ventiel,
installeer de thermostaat opnieuw en druk op BOOST/OK om de
testmodus te herstarten.
Als de display F1 of F2 blijft weergeven en u bent zeker dat de thermostaat
correct is geïnstalleerd, houd FUN ingedrukt om de testmodus te overrulen.
8. Gebruik
8.1 De temperatuur instellen
De thermostaat heeft verschillende temperatuurmodi:
comfortmodus
eco-modus
In normale weergavemodus, druk op PROG om de selectiemodus te openen.
De eerste comfortmodus knippert op de display. Druk op BOOST/OK om de
modus te openen en stel de gewenste temperatuur in met de instelknop.
Bevestig met BOOST/OK.
Stel de temperatuur in voor comfortmodus, eco-modus 1 en 2.
Bevestig met BOOST/OK en open de programmeermodus.
8.2 Het programma instellen
Het programmeren van de thermostaat gebeurt in groepen. Deze groepen
zijn:
maandag zondag, maandag vrijdag, zaterdag zondag,
maandag, dinsdag, woensdag, donderdag, vrijdag, zaterdag, zondag
In elke groep zijn max. zeven schakelpunten instelbaar (overgangspunten
tussen verschillende temperatuurinstellingen).
Na het instellen van de temperatuur, gaat de thermostaat in
programmeermodus. Als de thermostaat niet in programmeermodus staat,
druk op PROG en BOOST/OK totdat de display PROG weergeeft.

Druk op BOOST/OK om de selectiemodus van de groep te openen. Selecteer
de groep met de instelknop.
Druk op BOOST/OK om de programmeermodus van de groep te openen. De
thermostaat geeft het eerste schakelpunt weer (P1). Houd er rekening mee
dat u de tijd van dit schakelpunt niet kunt wijzigen.
Druk op BOOST/OK om te bevestigen. Selecteer de temperatuurmodus met
de instelknop.
Druk op BOOST/OK om te bevestigen. Selecteer de tijd van het schakelpunt
met de instelknop. Druk op BOOST/OK om te bevestigen en om naar het
tweede schakelpunt (P2) te gaan.

Ga op dezelfde manier te werk, om de temperatuurmodus en de schakeltijd
van het geselecteerde schakelpunt in te stellen, totdat alle schakelpunten
zijn ingesteld.

8.3 De temperatuur tijdelijk veranderen
De geprogrammeerde temperatuur veranderen is eenvoudig: draai de knop
naar de gewenste temperatuur. De thermostaat behoud de temperatuur tot
het volgende schakelpunt.
8.4 Uitvoeringsprioriteit van de programma's
Standaard hebben weekdagprogramma's voorrang op weekend-
/weekprogramma's. M.a.w. als een weekdagprogramma anders
geprogrammeerd is dan een weekend-/weekprogramma, dan volgt de
thermostaat de instellingen van het weekdagprogramma.

Houd er rekening mee dat wanneer u de instelling van het weekend-
/weekprogramma wijzigt, de instelling in het gerelateerde
weekdagprogramma automatisch verandert.
8.5 De feest-/vakantie-/reismodus selecteren en instellen
De thermostaat biedt de mogelijkheid om vooraf ingestelde modi te
programmeren. Ga als volgt te werk:
Druk op PROG en selecteer één van de modi met de instelknop.

instelknop. Druk op BOOST/OK om te bevestigen. Selecteer de temperatuur
met de instelknop. Druk op BOOST/OK om te bevestigen.
8.6 De manuele/eco-/positie-/boost-modi selecteren

In normale weergavemodus, druk op FUN om de gewenste modus te
openen.
oManuele modus: Manuele modus of automatische modus. Draai de
instelknop naar de gewenste temperatuur.
oEco -modus: In eco-modus is de omgevingstemperatuur 3°C lager
dan de temperatuur in automatische modus.
oPositiemodus: Openingspositie van het ventiel van 0 tot 100%.
Draai aan de instelknop om het openingspercentage in te stellen.
In normale weergavemodus, druk op BOOST/OK om de boost-modus te
openen. In boost-modus is het ventiel volledig open gedurende 300
seconden. De thermostaat keert terug naar de vorige status.

In normale weergavemodus, houd PROG ingedrukt om de instelmodus van
de basisparameters te openen. Draai de instelknop naar de gewenste optie.
oTime: Wanneer de thermostaat een plotselinge daling van de
temperatuur detecteert, sluit het ventiel totdat de ingestelde
vertragingstijd is verstreken.
oDec: De temperatuur voor de open-venster-modus instellen.
oInc: De open-venster-modus verlaten.
oToe: De temperatuur gemeten door de thermostaat kan hoger zijn
dan de temperatuur van het verwarmingselement. Stel de
compensatietemperatuur in om het temperatuurverlies te
compenseren.
oTap: Aansturing via standaard of volledige slagpen.
oRoom: De huidige omgevingstemperatuur weergeven.
oDST: De zomertijdfunctie selecteren.
oReset: De fabrieksinstellingen herstellen.
Druk op BOOST/OK om de selectie te bevestigen. Draai aan de instelknop
om een optie te selecteren en bevestig met BOOST/OK.
8.8 Andere functies
Vergrendelfunctie
Houd FUN ingedrukt om de knoppen en de instelknop te vergrendelen en
ontgrendelen.
Roestbescherming
De thermostaat schakelt automatisch in na 7 dagen inactiviteit, om
roestvorming van de slagpen te voorkomen.
