1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.

2. Safety Instructions

and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
Do not tamper with the device’s internal components.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device.
Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare
parts.
Keep this device away from rain, splashing and
dripping liquids.
Do not immerse the device in water or any other
liquid. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately
with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Do not clean the device with abrasive or corrosive
products.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid
brute force when operating the device.

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty
on the last pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device
before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety
reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the
device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using
the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in
this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing
defects or problems.
Do not switch the device on immediately after it has
been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the
device against damage by leaving it switched off until
it has reached room temperature.
Keep this manual for future reference.

5. Operation
5.1 Powering and Installation
REMARK
The weather station will enter data reception mode as
soon as the batteries have been inserted. Therefore, we
recommend placing the batteries in the thermo-
hygrometer first. Then, power the receiver console within
5 seconds time to optimize data transmission and
reception.
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they
may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-
rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in
accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away
from children.
Power both the thermo-hygrometer and receiver console.
Install the remote thermo-hygrometer at a distance of 5 to 10 meters away
from the receiver console. We recommend installing the thermo-hygrometer
in a vertical position on a shaded north-facing wall, at the same height as or
above the receiver console.
Wireless communication is susceptible to interference, distance, walls and
metal barriers.
Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)
Keep the thermo-hygrometer away from monitors, computers, etc.
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)
Keep the thermo-hygrometer away from other devices using the
433 MHz frequency.
Line of Sight
The thermo-hygrometer has a range of 100 m (no interference,
barriers or walls). Considering all obstacles, the range will be about
30 m.
Metal Barriers
Radio waves will not pass through metal such as aluminium. Consider
all metal barriers when installing the sensors.
5.2 DCF-Signal Reception
Once both the thermo-hygrometer and receiver console powered, allow the
signal to stabilize for about 30 minutes. If the signal reception is not
successful, the system will automatically resume every two hours until the
signal is captured.

5.3 Setting the Receiver Console
Hold [ ] pressed to enter the setting mode. Modify the blinking digit
with [+] or [-], confirm with [ ] to go to the next level.
The setting sequence is as follows:

5.4 Alarm Mode
In normal mode, press [ ] to select alarm mode 1 (weekdays) or 2
(weekend). Next, press [+] to select when to activate the alarm (weekdays,
weekend or both).
Hold [ ] pressed to enter the setting mode. Modify the blinking digit
with [+] or [-], confirm with [ ] to go to the next level.
The setting sequence is as follows:

The alarm will sound at the set time. To snooze the alarm, press [SNOOZE].
Press any button but [SNOOZE] to de-activate the alarm.
5.5 Weather Forecast
Read the weather forecast on the display.

5.6 Moon Phase
The weather station displays one of the eight moon phases depending on
the position of the moon, the earth and the sun:

The above icons are for the northern hemisphere. Reverse the icons if you
reside in the southern hemisphere.
5.7 Barometric Pressure
The barometric pressure history is displayed in the form of a bar diagram.
The current pressure and trend are displayed on top of the pressure section.
5.8 Temperature and Relative Humidity

The upper part displays the outdoor temperature (left) and relative humidity
(right).
The lower part displays the indoor temperature (left) and relative humidity
(right). The functions for the outdoor and indoor values are identical except
for the switching units.
5.9 Switching Sensor Units
Open the battery cover of the sensor and assign a number to the sensor.
Remember to assign a different number to each of the connected sensors.
The receiver accepts maximum three different sensors.
Press [ ] to switch between the different connected sensors.

5.10 Max/Min Mode
Press [MAX/MIN] to toggle through the maximum, minimum and current
temperature/pressure values for the last 24 hours.
5.11 Trend Arrows
The trend arrows are updated every 30 seconds.

5.12 Selecting Temperature Units
In normal mode, hold [°C/°F] pressed to select your temperature units.
5.13 Re-Synchronizing after Signal Loss
In normal mode, hold [ ] pressed to re-synchronize the thermo-
hygrometer. Wait and do not touch any button until synchronization is
complete.
If synchronization has failed, please remove the power from the receiver
console, re-power and wait for the DCF-signal to recover.
5.14 Re-Synchronizing the Outdoor Sensor
In normal mode, hold [ ] pressed to re-synchronize the sensor(s).

5.15 Backlight
In normal mode, press [LIGHT] to toggle between the three backlight levels.
5.16 USB Power Output
You can power your mobile phone through the receiver. To do so, connect
the phone to the receiver using compatible USB cable. Disconnect after use.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
The device does not need any particular maintenance.
Gently wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free
cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents. Do not apply
pressure on the display.
Never submerge the device in any liquid.
Replace used batteries with new batteries of the same
type. Do not mix used and new batteries.

1. Inleiding

na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen
vanaf 8 jaar, door personen met fysieke, zintuiglijke
of verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met
gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit
onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die
verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid of hun
aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe zij het toestel
moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn van de risico's
die het gebruik van het toestel met zich meebrengt.
Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen. De
reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen niet
worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder
toezicht staan.

Raak de interne onderdelen van het toestel niet aan.
Er zijn geen onderdelen in het toestel die door de
gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden. Contacteer uw
verdeler voor eventuele reserveonderdelen.
Bescherm het toestel tegen regen en opspattende
vloeistoffen.
Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of andere
vloeistoffen. Als u vloeistof over het toestel morst,
droog het dan onmiddellijk af met een zachte,
stofvrije doek.
Reinig het toestel nooit met schurende of bijtende
producten.
Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht
tijdens de bediening van het toestel.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en
kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u
het gaat gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen
aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker
heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de
garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De
garantie vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren
van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw
dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor
defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband
mee houden.
Schakel het toestel niet onmiddellijk in nadat het werd
blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Om
beschadiging te vermijden, moet u wachten tot het
toestel de kamertemperatuur heeft bereikt.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

5. Gebruik
5.1 Voeding en installatie
OPMERKING
Zodra de batterijen geplaatst zijn, schakelt het
weerstation naar de ontvangstmodus. Plaats daarom eerst
de batterijen in de thermo-hygrometer. Zet daarna de
ontvanger onder spanning binnen de 5 seconden om de
dataoverdracht en dataontvangst te optimaliseren.
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur gooien
(explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi
batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Houd batterijen buiten het bereik van kinderen.
Zet de thermo-hygrometer en de ontvanger onder spanning.
Plaats de thermo-hygrometer op een afstand van 5 tot 10 meter van de
ontvanger. Plaats de thermo-hygrometer rechtopstaand, op een
schaduwrijke noordmuur en op dezelfde hoogte of hoger dan de ontvanger.
De draadloze communicatie is gevoelig voor storingen, afstand, muren en
metalen obstakels.
Elektromagnetische Interferentie (EMI)
Houd de thermo-/hygrometer uit de buurt van monitors, computers,
enz.
Radiofrequentie Interferentie (RFI)
Houd de thermo-hygrometer uit de buurt van andere toestellen met
een 433 MHz-frequentie.

Bereik
De thermo-hygrometer heeft een bereik van 100 m (zonder storingen,
obstakels of muren). Met obstakels is het bereik ongeveer 30 m.
Metalen obstakels
Radiogolven kunnen niet door metaal (bv. aluminium). Houd rekening
met metalen obstakels bij de installatie van de sensoren.
5.2 DCF-signaalontvangst
Nadat de thermo-hygrometer en de ontvanger onder spanning staan, duurt
het ongeveer 30 minuten tot het signaal zich gestabiliseerd heeft. Als de
signaalontvangst mislukt, zoekt het systeem automatisch om de twee uur
tot het signaal wordt ontvangen.
5.3 De ontvanger instellen
Houd [ ] ingedrukt om de instelmodus weer te geven. Verander het
knipperende cijfer met [+] of [-], bevestig met [ ] om naar de volgende
instelling te gaan.
De instelvolgorde is als volgt:

5.4 Alarmmodus
In normale modus, druk op [ ] om alarmmodus 1 (weekdagen) of 2
(weekend) te selecteren. Druk vervolgens op [+] om het tijdstip te
selecteren waarop het alarm (weekdagen en/of weekend) moet afgaan.
Houd [ ] ingedrukt om de instelmodus weer te geven. Verander het
knipperende cijfer met [+] of [-], bevestig met [ ] om naar de volgende
instelling te gaan.
De instelvolgorde is als volgt:

Het alarm zal afgaan op de ingestelde alarmtijd. Om de sluimerfunctie in te
schakelen, druk op [SNOOZE]. Druk op een willekeurige knop, behalve op
[SNOOZE] om het alarm uit te schakelen.

5.5 Weersvoorspelling
Lees de weersvoorspellingen van de display.

5.6 Maanfasen
Het weerstation geeft een van de 8 maanfasen weer (afhankelijk van de
positie van de maan, de aarde en de zon).

De bovenstaande symbolen zijn voor het noordelijk halfrond. Voor het
zuidelijk halfrond, keer de volgorde van de symbolen om.

5.7 Luchtdruk
De historiek van de luchtdruk wordt in de vorm van een histogram
weergegeven. De huidige luchtdruk en de trend worden bovenaan in de
sectie van de luchtdruk weergeven.
5.8 Temperatuur en relatieve vochtigheid
Het bovenste deel geeft de buitentemperatuur (links) en de relatieve
vochtigheid (rechts) weer.
Het onderste deel geeft de binnentemperatuur (links) en de relatieve
vochtigheid (rechts weer). De functies voor de buiten- en binnenwaarden
zijn identiek, maar de display schakelt niet over.
5.9 Tussen sensoren schakelen
Open het batterijvak van de sensor en wijs een kanaal toe aan de sensor.
Wijs een verschillend kanaal toe aan elke sensor. U kunt max. 3 sensoren
op de ontvanger aansluiten.
Druk op [ ] om tussen de aangesloten sensoren te schakelen.

5.10 Minimum/maximum-weergave
Druk op [MAX/MIN] om te schakelen tussen de maximum, minimum en
huidige temperatuur-/luchtdrukwaarden van de laatste 24 uur.
5.11 Trendweergave
De trendweergave (pijlen) wordt om de 30 seconden bijgewerkt.

5.12 De temperatuureenheden selecteren
In normale modus, houd [°C/°F] ingedrukt om de temperatuureenheden te
selecteren.
5.13 De thermo-hygrometer na signaalverlies opnieuw
synchroniseren
In normale modus, houd [ ] ingedrukt om de thermo-hygrometer opnieuw
te synchroniseren. Wacht en druk op geen enkele knop tot de synchronisatie
is voltooid.
Als de synchronisatie is mislukt, ontkoppel de voeding van de ontvanger,
schakel opnieuw in en wacht tot het DCF-signaal is hersteld.
5.14 De buitensensor opnieuw synchroniseren
In normale modus, houd [ ] ingedrukt om de sensor(en) opnieuw te
synchroniseren.
5.15 Achtergrondverlichting
In normale modus, druk op [LIGHT] om tussen de drie helderheidsniveau's
te schakelen.
5.16 USB-uitgang
U kunt uw smartphone opladen met de ontvanger. Sluit de telefoon aan op
de ontvanger met een compatibele USB-kabel. Ontkoppel het toestel na
gebruik.

6. Reiniging en onderhoud
Het toestel vereist geen bijzonder onderhoud.
Veeg het toestel regelmatig schoon met een vochtige,
niet-pluizende doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of
solventen. Druk nooit op de display.
Dompel het toestel nooit onder in een vloeistof.
Vervang lege batterijen door nieuwe batterijen van
hetzelfde type. Combineer geen oude en nieuwe
batterijen.

liquide. Si un liquide est renversé sur l'appareil,

l'appareil avec circonspection pendant l’opération.

N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage
impropre annule d'office la garantie.

survenus en négligeant certaines directives de ce
mode d'emploi et votre revendeur déclinera toute
responsabilité pour les problèmes et les défauts qui en
résultent.
Ne pas brancher immédiatement l’appareil après
exposition à des variations de température. Afin
d’éviter des dommages, attendre jusqu’à ce que
l’appareil ait atteint la température ambiante.
Garder ce mode d'emploi pour toute référence

5. Emploi
5.1 Mise sous tension et installation
REMARQUE
La station météo passe en mode réception de données dès
que les piles sont insérées. Pour cela, installer d'abord les
piles dans le thermomètre-hygromètre. Ensuite, mettre le
récepteur sous tension dans les 5 secondes afin
d'optimiser la transmission et la réception de données.
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne jamais perforer les piles et ne pas les jeter au feu
(danger d’explosion). Ne jamais recharger des piles
alcalines. Se débarrasser des piles en respectant la
réglementation locale relative à la protection de
l’environnement. Garder les piles hors de la portée des
enfants.
Mettre le thermomètre-hygromètre et le récepteur sous tension.
Installer le thermomètre-hygromètre à une distance de 5 à 10 mètres du
récepteur. Installer le thermomètre-hygromètre en position verticale, à
l'ombre sur un mur exposé au nord et à la même hauteur ou plus haut que
le récepteur.
La communication sans fil est susceptible aux interférences, distances, murs
et obstacles métalliques.
Interférences électromagnétiques (EMI)
Tenir le thermomètre-hygromètre à l'écart de moniteurs, ordinateurs,
etc.
Interférences radio (RFI)
Tenir le thermomètre-hygromètre à l'écart d'autres appareils avec une
fréquence de 433 MHz.
Portée
Le thermomètre-hygromètre a une portée de 100 m (sans obstacles).
Compte tenu des obstacles, la portée est de 30 m.
Obstacles métalliques
Les ondes radio ne passent pas à travers le métal (p. ex. aluminium).
Tenir compte des obstacles métalliques lors de l'installation des
capteurs.
5.2 Réception du signal DCF
Une fois le thermomètre-hygromètre et le récepteur mis sous tension,
attendre environ 30 minutes pour que le signal se stabilise. Si la réception
du signal a échoué, la recherche du signal est reprise automatiquement
toutes les deux heures jusqu'à ce que le signal soit capturé.
