General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this
type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed
warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions
on to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when
using an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label and your outlet socket is earthed.
• WARNING!To protect against fire, electrocution and electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or the appliance itself in water or other liquid, or
expose the electrical connections to water. Do not operate this product with
wet hands or spill liquids into the product.
• Do not use this appliance with an extension cord.
• Run the power cord in such a way that there will be no risk of anyone pulling
it inadvertently or tripping over it.
• Protect the power cord. Do not kink, bend, squash, strain or damage the
cord; protect it from sharp edges and heat; do not let the cord hang over the
edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Unwind the power cord completely for use.
• Do not pick up or operate the appliance if the power supply cord, plug or
housing is damaged, or after it malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner.
• Do not insert any objects and/or fingers in the appliance apertures.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• In case of damage, contact our after sales support line to arrange return or
repair of the damaged product.
• Make sure to unplug the appliance after each use, when the appliance is not
in use and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the power supply. Switch
off the power at the outlet and then gently pull on the plug only to unplug it.

Usage conditions and restrictions
• This appliance is intended for indoor household use only. It is neither suitable
for commercial/industrial nor for outdoor use.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose:
frothing and/or heating milk.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
• Improper installation may result in the risk of fire, electric shock and/or
personal injury. We accept no liability for any damage due to improper use or
incorrect handling.
• Never operate the appliance on an uneven surface.
• Do not place the appliance on a polished wood surface, it could damage the
wood.
• Do not operate the milk frother without milk in the jug.
• Only use the milk frother with the power base provided.
• Do not use the power base with anything else but the milk frother.
• Do not overfill the jug. Filling past the maximum levels indicated inside the
jug can cause overflowing during operation.
• Never touch rotating parts. Risk of injury!
• WARNING! Never leave the appliance unattended during use; switch it off
and unplug it.

Getting Started
Before first use
• Unpack the box with care, keeping all packaging materials until you are
satisfied everything is present and in working order.
• Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children,
so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Inspect the cord and plug for damage. Do not use the appliance if the
appliance or its cord have been damaged or are not working properly.
• Clean the jug and the accessories as described under the “Cleaning and
care”, page 11, to remove any dust or residues from the manufacturing
process.
Assembly
Your new milk frother comes with two whisks, one for frothing and one for
heating milk.
• The whisk for frothing milk is stored at the inside of the lid and consists of a
plastic whisk with a metal spiral ring around it.
• The whisk for heating milk is stored inside the jug and consists of a slightly
smaller plastic whisk.
Use the milk frother with one of these whisks for heating and/or frothing milk,
according to the instructions on the following pages.
