1. Technical specifications and tolerances
The V-move EDV electric trolley mover is the solution for transporting Danish trolleys (CC containers),
auction trolleys and other equipment over both ground cloth and hardened surface easily and
ergonomically. The trolley is easy to wheel onto the conveyor and can be moved over the ground
cover, without physical effort and without damaging or causing any ruts in the ground cover. The
powerful drive motor with differential facilitates driving from the ground cover on to the concrete path.
This electric trolley mover has large, wide wheels and an infinitely adjustable drive control, so that the
right speed can easily be selected in every situation.
The V-move may only be used within the specified limits for specifications and tolerances as
stated in the order, on the assembly drawing and in this manual. If the V-move is used outside
these specifications, Verhagen Leiden BV can no longer take responsibility for the V-move.
The V-move has been developed to move Danish trolleys easily. The V-move is only suitable
as a trolley mover using drive switches.
Do not use the V-move for any purposes other than those for which it was made by Verhagen
Leiden BV. This could lead to damage and danger to the driver and their environment.
The V-move drive control is supplied with a set of non-adjustable variables. No adjustments
may be made to the control system or its software.

5. Putting into use
5.1 Loading and unloading
Avoid injury and damage due to incorrect positioning of the lift truck forks.
If the V-move has to be moved with a forklift, the lifting forks must be positioned in such a way that the
centre of gravity is between the forks. The easiest way is to grab the V-move from the side. The
centre of gravity is close to the battery compartment as that is the heaviest part of the machine.
5.2 Moving and towing the V-move
The V-move may only be moved by driving it under its own power or lifting it with a forklift.
Towing will seriously damage the drive.
5.3 Unintended use
The V-move is not suitable for transporting people or trailers carrying people.
The V-move is not suitable for moving goods that contain toxic, explosive, dangerous or flammable
substances.
The V-move is not approved for use on public roads.
The electrical components and wiring are splash-proof, so the V-move must be stored in a dry place.
5.4 Check before putting into use
In addition to proper maintenance, V-move operator must pay attention to the following points after
every use:
•Check for any damage to the exterior of the vehicle.
•Check the ramp and the lock for any damage.
•Check that the batteries are sufficiently charged.
•Drive forwards and backwards and check the braking performance.
•While driving slowly, check the total manoeuvrability of the V-move.
•Check the anti-crush device (belly button) on the steering handle grip by pressing the safety
switch; the V-move must not start.

6.6 Charging the batteries
The charging location must be well ventilated because explosive gases (oxyhydrogen) are
constantly released during the charging process.
Avoid any open flames or sparks near the charging station while charging. An explosive gas
may be released during charging.
When the batteries have been discharged to 30% of their capacity, the V-move will only travel at 50%
of its normal speed. The V-move should then be charged. If the batteries have been discharged to
20% of their capacity, the V-move will stop.
Procedure:
1. Insert the plug into the charging socket of the charger and connect the battery charger to the
mains.
2. The automatic battery charger will charge the battery at maximum voltage.
3. The battery charger switches off automatically.
Regularly check that the battery charger does stop automatically when the battery is full.
6.7 Cleaning
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or a hard jet of water when cleaning as this could damage
the electrical and electronic system, which is not watertight.
The underside of the V-move will get dirty whenever it is used, both indoors and outside.
This dirt must be removed regularly as
it can prevent the drive from working correctly.

7. Maintenance
Follow all instructions as described in this manual, particularly the chapter on safety.
The V-move may only be moved by driving it under its own power or lifting it with a forklift.
Towing will seriously damage the drive.
Maintenance of the V-move must be carried out by qualified personnel, observing the
warnings on the V-move and the instructions for use.
Before disconnecting the batteries, always disconnect any electric loads to avoid possible
sparks. When removing batteries, first disconnect the earth cable (-). When mounting, connect
the earth cable last (connect plus (+ = red) to plus and minus (- = black) to minus).
Battery fluid is a caustic acid. Avoid contact with clothing, skin and eyes.
In the event of splashes of battery acid on clothing or skin, wash with soap and water
immediately, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If any acid splashes in the eyes, rinse

7.4 Battery life
Incorrect use of the batteries can cause them to wear more quickly. Rapid wear is not covered
by the guarantee.
Tips to prolong battery life:
1. It is recommended never to let the battery drain completely.
2. Charging an empty battery immediately increases the lifespan considerably. Discharging
further than 20% adversely affects the lifespan.
3. Never interrupt charging, allow to fully charge.
4. If the V-move is not used (for a longer period of time), it is recommended to leave the battery
charger connected; this will automatically keep the battery charged.
5. Overloading the batteries will shorten their lifespan considerably. The load should therefore be
adjusted.
6. We recommend that you do not discharge the batteries completely. If this often happens, this
will also result in faster wear. Keep a close eye on the battery condition meter and connect the
battery charger in good time.
7. The batteries must be charged with the right charger and for a specified period of time. If the
charging current is too low or the duration of the charge is too short, the batteries will not be
fully charged and the battery capacity will be too low for your application, resulting in faster
wear. If the charging current is too high or the duration of the charge is too long, the battery
will be overcharged. This will overheat and damage the plates of your battery.
8. A battery slowly drains due to self-discharge. Leaving a battery discharged will result in
sulphation and irrevocable damage. We therefore recommend recharging a stored V-move at
least every 3 months.
When replacing the battery, the old battery must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
