
To access recorded programming from a remote Set Top Box:
1. Record a television program using your DVR
(see Digital Video Recorder section of the User Guide
for detailed recording instructions).
2. Using one of your remote (black) Set Top Boxes,
choose RECORDED TV from the Main Menu.
The DVR RECORDINGS screen will be displayed
with a listing of the shows you can watch from
your DVR (silver).
3. Select a recorded program to view from the list
by using the ARROW keys to highlight the program,
then press OK.
You may use the normal DVR playback controls
(pause, rewind, fast-forward) on your remote to
control viewing.
4. When you have finished viewing a recorded program,
simply press STOP.
Multi-Room DVR parental controls:
Parental controls can be set on the remote Set Top Boxes to enable
or block full access to recorded programs on the DVR. Blocking
playback on the Set Top Box is enabled by establishing a PIN.

With our Multi-Room DVR, you no longer have to watch
recorded programs on just one TV. Simply follow the
instructions below to access recorded programming
from multiple rooms in your home.
ADVR will be your hub. Other rooms will be equipped with a remote Set Top Box.

Important information:
•Programs recorded in Hi-Def cannot be played back on remote
Set Top Boxes.
•Remote Set Top Boxes cannot pause or rewind live TV.
•Remote Set Top Boxes do not support remote scheduling of
program recordings. Program recordings can ONLY be
scheduled through the DVR.
•HD Set Top Boxes (model 6200) cannot be used as part of a
Multi-Room network.
•Your Multi-Room DVR will support up to six additional
Set Top Boxes.
•No more than two remote Set Top Boxes can simultaneously
access recorded content from the DVR. An error message will
be displayed if more than two Set Top Boxes try to access
recorded content simultaneously.
•You cannot delete content from the DVR if another Set Top Box
is concurrently accessing that content.
How to set up a PIN for Set Top Box access to DVR recordings:
Select SETTINGS from the Interactive Programming Guide (IPG)
Main Menu on the Set Top Box.
•Select PARENTAL CONTROLS.
•Enter the PIN that will be used to protect DVR recordings.
•Select NEXT.
•Press OK over the next few screens, until the BLOCK MR-DVR
screen is displayed.
•Select BLOCK MR-DVR.
To confirm setting:
•Go to RECORDED TV.
•Select any recorded program. The PIN screen is displayed.
•Enter your PIN. The recorded program is unblocked.
*Note: Your DVR (model 6416) has a silver case, while the remote Set Top Box (model 2500)
has a black case.
