GETTING STARTED
Reseal your wood pellet bag to ensure the pellets stay dry. Moisture will
affect burn performance.
To maintain peak performance, ensure the perforated floor of the
burner bowl is clean and free of ash or debris buildup prior to filling with
hardwood pellets.
After the fire pit has completely cooled, lightly brush the unit and empty
the ash pan.
Use the included cover to protect the metal painted surfaces from the
elements should the unit be left outside. If the unit will not be used for an
extended period of time, store the fire pit in a cool, dry environment.
Do not attempt to move the fire pit once the fire is started.
Do not place the fire pit in an area where it could be easily tripped over.

GET ACQUAINTED
OPERATION – ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
THE VERMONT CASTINGS®WOOD PELLET STEEL FIRE PIT
IS DESIGNED TO BURN PREMIUM HARDWOOD HEATING
PELLETS.
BEFORE USING, MAKE SURE THE PELLET FIRE PIT IS A SAFE
DISTANCE FROM ALL COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL.
USING A RAKE, LEVEL THE AREA IF NECESSARY AND
REMOVE ANY DRY GRASS OR OVERHANGING BRANCHES.
1Carefully centre and lower the Burner Bowl (A) onto
the top of the Ash Pan (B) until it lays in place.
2Pour premium hardwood pellets into the Burner
Bowl (A) up to the bottom of the "FILL LINE" indicator,
approximately 2" (5 cm) up from the perforated
floor. Do not overfill.
3 Ensure that the premium hardwood pellets are evenly
distributed around the bottom of the Burner Bowl.
No pellets should be above the "FILL LINE" indicator.
4 Using a torch, carefully ignite the pellets in several
locations around an evenly spaced circular pattern.
For faster lighting results use a non-toxic fire starter,
like wax infused tinder, also in an evenly spaced
circular pattern.
5 As the fire burns down, wearing heat resistant gloves,
use a long handled metal scoop to evenly scatter
pellets around the Burner Bowl on top of the already
burning pellets. Placing too many pellets in one
place could smother the fire and create excessive
amounts of smoke. Adding pellets once the flames
have extinguished will also create excessive smoke
until the pellets ignite.
NOTE: IF YOU REFILL WITH TOO MANY WOOD PELLETS TOO
QUICKLY, THERE WILL BE EXCESSIVE SMOKE UNTIL THOSE
WOOD PELLETS PROPERLY IGNITE. WHEN FINISHED WITH
YOUR FIRE, JUST LET THE FLAMES BURN OUT.

THE MANUFACTURER:
Hereby warrants this product only to the ORIGINAL PURCHASERS of
this product:
If a gift, warranted only to the person for whom it was
purchased as a gift or promotional item.
Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is
not transferable to subsequent owners, except when a gift
or promo item.
Warrants that the product is free from defects in material and
workmanship for the durations indicated below when operating in
accordance with the accompanying Owner’s Manual.
NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR EXCLUDED
Wear and tear = cosmetic and other immaterial deterioration that may
come with ownership of your fire pit over time, such as surface rust,
dents/scratches, etc.
Material defect = rust through or burn through of certain parts, or other
damage or failure inhibiting your ability to safely/properly use your fire
pit.
To maintain painted finishes, lightly brush away surface rust, and
refinish with a high-temperature spray paint.
The manufacturer does not authorize any person or company to
assume for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the sale,
installation, use, removal, return, or replacement of its equipment, and
no such representations are binding on the manufacturer.
This limited warranty will not reimburse you for the cost of any
inconvenience, food, personal injury or property damage.
Shipping and handling charges are the responsibility of the original
consumer/purchaser for all in/out of warranty part orders.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for incidental, consequential,
special or contingent damages resulting from its breach of this written
warranty or any implied warranty.
Vermont Castings agrees to repair or replace the part that is defective
in material or workmanship.
OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES/EXCLUSIONS OF WARRANTY
Retain original sales receipt and/or invoice.
Warranty only applies if the owner takes reasonable care of the
Vermont Castings product by following all assembly instructions,
usage instructions, and preventative maintenance as outlined in the
accompanying owner’s manual.
Unless owner can prove that the defect or failure
is independent of non-compliance with the above
mentioned obligations.
If you live in a coastal area, or you have your product located near
a pool, maintenance includes regular washing and rinsing of the
exterior surfaces as outlined in the owner’s manual.
The warranty lapses if there are damages, deteriorations,
discolourations, and/or rust for which Vermont Castings is not
responsible, caused by:
Abuse, misuse, alteration, modification, misapplication, vandalism,
neglect, improper assembly or installation, and clearance to
combustible materials.
Use of improper cleaning products, such as indoor stainless-steel
cleaners, abrasive and chemical cleaners, porcelain oven cleaner and
other chemical cleaners which can cause damage to surfaces.

CASTINGSMC EST CONÇU POUR BRÛLER DES GRANULES DE
BOIS DE QUALITÉ SUPÉRIEURE.
AVANT DE L’UTILISER, ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LE FOYER
EST À UNE DISTANCE SÉCURITAIRE DE TOUT MATÉRIEL
COMBUSTIBLE.
À L’AIDE D’UN RÂTEAU, NIVELEZ LA ZONE SI NÉCESSAIRE
ET ENLEVEZ L’HERBE SÈCHE OU LES BRANCHES BASSES.
1Centrez soigneusement et abaissez le bol du foyer (A) sur
le dessus du bac à cendres (B) jusqu’en position.
2Versez les granules de bois de première qualité dans le
bol du foyer (A) jusqu’au bas de l’indicateur « FILL LINE » (ligne
de remplissage), à environ 2 po (5 cm) du plancher perforé. Ne
remplissez pas trop le bol.
3 Assurez-vous que les granules de bois de qualité
supérieure sont uniformément répartis autour du fond du bol du
foyer. Aucun granule ne doit être au-dessus de l’indicateur «FILL
LINE» (ligne de remplissage).
4 À l’aide d’une torche, allumez soigneusement les granules
à plusieurs endroits autour d’un motif circulaire régulièrement
espacé. Pour des résultats d’allumage plus rapides, utilisez
un allume-feu non toxique, comme de l’amadou infusé de cire,
également selon un motif circulaire régulièrement espacé.
5 Pendant que le feu brûle, portez des gants résistant à
la chaleur et utilisez une pelle en métal à long manche pour
disperser uniformément les granules autour du bol du foyer
au-dessus des granules déjà en feu. Placer trop de granules au
même endroit pourrait étouffer le feu et créer des quantités
excessives de fumée. L’ajout de granules une fois les flammes
éteintes créera également une fumée excessive jusqu’à ce que
les granulés s’enflamment.
REMARQUE : SI VOUS REMPLISSEZ TROP LE BOL DE FOYER
DE GRANULES DE BOIS TROP RAPIDEMENT, IL Y AURA UNE
FUMÉE EXCESSIVE JUSQU’À CE QUE CES GRANULES DE BOIS
S’ENFLAMMENT CORRECTEMENT. LORSQUE VOUS AVEZ FINI AVEC
VOTRE FEU, LAISSEZ LES FLAMMES S’ÉTEIGNENT D’EUX-MÊMES.

Refermez votre sac de granules de bois pour vous assurer que les granules
restent secs. L’humidité affectera les performances de combustion.
Pour maintenir des performances optimales, assurez-vous que le
plancher perforé du bol du foyer est propre et exempt d’accumulation
de cendres ou de débris avant de le remplir de granules de bois.
Une fois le foyer complètement refroidi, brossez
légèrement le foyer et videz le bac à cendres.
Utilisez la housse incluse pour protéger les surfaces métalliques peintes des
éléments si l’appareil est laissé à l’extérieur. Si le foyer n’est pas utilisé pendant
une période prolongée, rangez-le dans un environnement frais et sec.
N’essayez pas de déplacer le foyer une fois que le feu est allumé.
Ne placez pas le foyer dans un endroit où il pourrait facilement trébucher quelqu’un.
