PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS
Features:
• One way & center open fabrication options
• Automatically adjust its electronic limits
• Manual pull function: automatically open or
close the drapery when pulling on the fabric to
initiate movement
• Stop on contact: the motor stops when it finds an
obstacle that offers resistance to its movement

Check that the motor is compatible with the associated track and accessories and that it is correctly
installed into the end adapter (fig. 1). Be aware that the motor can be installed in any of the 2 track
end adapters that come with the motor, also known as main and secondary control.
Initial programming sequence
Before starting…

• Checking the traversing direction
• Adding an additional remote control or “cloning” a channel
• Deleting a single motor or channel
• Deleting the motor from all channels
• Resetting the motor to factory default
1Pair the motor with the remote control.
2Operate the motor in both directions until the main
carrier reaches one end side of the track, and then
the opposite one, allowing the motor to automatically
self-adjust its electronic limits.
Note: to remove the motor from the main control
pull the LOCKING BAR and push it to the left side.

Place the motor shaft into the control and
pull the safety locking bar downwards.
While downwards, move the
safety locking bar to the right.
Then, release the safety locking bar
to secure the motor in the control.

Ports with RJ11 interface allow to control the motor either via dry contacts or RS485. The motor
can be managed from a PC or with a home automation system.
This option allows to operate multiple motors at the same time with a RS485, dry contacts or a PC.

The drapery will move in one direction until it reaches either end side of the track. The LED
indicator will flash BLUE 3 times to indicate that the motor has automatically self adjusted the first
limit. With the remote control, move the drapery to the opposite direction, the motor will self
adjust the second limit when it reaches the other end side of the track.
Pairing the motor with the remote control
This function is convenient when the need arises to change the traversing direction. For example,
when pressing the up button on the remote control, the drapery closes, or when pressing the
down button, the drapery opens.
Checking the traversing direction
1. Press and hold the programming button on the
head of the motor for approximately 1 s until the
LED indicator on the motor starts flashing RED.
2. Select the desired channel and press the up
button for approximately 2 s. The LED indicator
will flash BLUE 3 times. The motor is now paired
with the remote control.

1. Press and hold the stop button for about 5 s
until the LED indicator on the motor starts
flashing RED.
2. Release the stop button, and press it again for
about 2 s. The LED indicator will flash BLUE
3 times. The drapery has now changed its
traversing direction.

A previously programmed remote control can be used in order to add a new remote control or
operating channel. Also, you can copy one channel to another in the same remote control using
this procedure.
1. Using the previously programmed Vertilux
remote, select the desired channel using the
channel selector button, press and hold the stop
button for about 5 s until the LED indicator on the
motor starts flashing RED.
2. Using the new remote, select the desired
channel using the channel selector button, and
then press the up button. The led indicator will
flash BLUE 3 times. The motor is now set on the
new remote control or channel.

This is convenient when there has been a programming mistake and it is required to delete the
programming from a single channel. Also if you want to delete a programmed motor in a single
channel, turn off the power supply of all motors previously programmed in this channel except the
one you want to delete and follow this procedure.
Deleting a single motor or channel
1. Select the desired channel using the channel
selector button, and press and hold the stop
button for approximately 5 s until the LED
indicator on the motor starts flashing RED.
2. Press the down button for about 2 s until the
LED indicator flashes BLUE 3 times. The selected
channel has been deleted. Drapery motors
previously linked to this channel are not linked
anymore.

Deleting a motor from all channels
Disconnect all motors from the power supply except the one you want to delete and follow this
procedure.

1. Press and hold the stop button for about 5 s
until the the LED indicator on the motor starts
flashing RED.
2. Press and hold the programming button for
about 7 s until the LED indicator on the motor
flashes RED 7 times and then BLUE one time.
This motor has been deleted from all channels.
This is convenient when there has been a programming mistake and the motor needs to be reset
to its factory default settings. It is not necessary to turn off all motors previously programmed in
the remote control.
Resetting the motor to factory default
1. Press and hold the programming button
located on the head of the motor for about 3 s
until the LED indicator starts flashing RED
quickly.
2. Press and release the programming button
again until the LED indicator flashes BLUE one
time. All previous programming on the motor has
been deleted.
