1. VIA Mobile360 M810 Introduction
This Quick Start Guide provides instrucons on how to boot from the Linux EVK system image on the VIA Mobile360 M810 system and congure the supported hardware
funcons in the build.

1.1.2 Firmware Folder
VIA_Mobile360_M810_Yocto_2.3_EVK_rmware.zip: This VIA Mobile360 M810 Yocto 2.3 EVK rmware zip le includes the boot loader, kernel and a Linux root le system
images. These les are pre-installed on the VIA Mobile360 M810 to evaluate the cloud and AI funcons. Users can use this package to restore the system if users mess up
the system and want to go back to pre-installed environment.
1.1.3 Tool Folder
VIA_Mobile360_Fleet_Calibraon_Tool.zip: This zip folder includes the VIA Mobile360 Fleet Calibraon Tool for Windows 10 compable computers. The tool is required for
camera calibraon and systems sengs for the VIA Mobile360 M810 plaorm.

2. Installing Firmware Using a MicroSD Card
To install the rmware using a MicroSD card, please follow the steps listed below:
1. Prepare a MicroSD Card with a minimum of 16GB storage capacity. Plug the MicroSD card into a PC and format the MicroSD card to FAT32 format. Extract and copy the
bspinst folder from the VIA Mobile360 M810 Yocto 2.3 EVK rmware zip le to the root folder of the MicroSD card. An example of the folder structure is shown below:
2. Eject the MicroSD card from the PC and plug the MicroSD card into the MicroSD card slot at the front of the VIA Mobile360 M810 system, as shown in the following
image:

3. Connect an HDMI monitor to the HDMI port at the back of the system as shown in the following image, and power up the system.

Note:
To power up the VIA Mobile360 M810 system, refer to Secon "Connecng the VIA Mobile360 M810 to the Vehicle's Ignion (IGN)" and Secon "Installing the Phoenix Plug to DC Jack" in the
VIA Mobile360 M810 User Manual.

4. The rmware installaon process will automacally start if the bootable MicroSD card is detected. You will see the installaon process on the HDMI monitor as shown
below.
5. Eject the bootable MicroSD card once the process has completed and the system will automacally reboot.

3. Network Configuration
The VIA Mobile360 M810 system includes a Network Conguraon tool which allows for easy access to congure the Ethernet and Wi-Fi sengs.
To use the web-based ulity to access the Network Conguraon tool on the VIA Mobile360 M810 system, follow the steps below:
1. Connect the VIA Mobile360 M810 system to an x86 PC with a networking cable, plug the networking cable into the Ethernet port on each device.
2. Open a browser on the x86 PC, and input the URL (hp:/192.168.1.200/dist) in the browser’s address bar to connect to the web ulity running on the VIA
Mobile360 M810 system.
Note:
The host PC and VIA Mobile360 M810 system need to be congured on the same IP domain in order to make a connecon.

3.1 Ethernet Sengs
This secon explains how to change the stac IP address ( default:192.168.1.200 ) for the Ethernet port on a VIA Mobile360 M810 system.
3. Once connected to the web ulity, select the Ethernet icon on the le side of the screen.
4. The current stac IP address of the VIA Mobile360 M810 system will be displayed in the ‘Current Stac IP’ eld. To change the stac IP address, type the desired stac
IP into the 'New Stac IP' eld, then click 'Save'.

Note:
The default stac IP address is 192.168.1.200.
6. Aer changing the stac IP, use the new IP assigned to the VIA Mobile360 M810 system to connect with the web-based ulity.

3.2 Wi-Fi Sengs
The VIA Mobile360 M810's Wi-Fi module can be congured in either hotspot or staon mode. Once connected to the web ulity, select the Wi-Fi icon on the le side of the
screen.
The Wi-Fi module can be toggled on or o by the switch on the top-right side of the screen.
3.2.1 Wi-Fi Hotspot Mode
Follow the steps below to congure the Wi-Fi hotspot sengs:
1. Aer enabling Wi-Fi, select "Hotspot" to congure the Wi-Fi hotspot sengs.

2. Select either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band to be used.
3. Enter the desired SSID and password for the selected band.
4. Click "Save" to save the sengs. The new sengs will remain valid aer reboong the VIA Mobile360 M810 system.
3.2.2 Wi-Fi Staon Mode
1. Follow the steps below to congure the Wi-Fi staon mode sengs:
2. Aer enabling Wi-Fi, select "Staon mode" to congure the Wi-Fi staon mode sengs.
3. A list of available Wi-Fi hotspots will be displayed. Select the desired hotspot to connect to from the list.
4. Input the password (if required) and click "Connect".
5. The VIA Mobile360 M810 system will establish a connecon.

Note:
The VIA Mobile360 M810 does not support auto-connect aer reboot. To connect to an available hotspot aer reboot, repeat the steps above.

4. VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal
VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal is VIA’s web-based applicaon built on AWS IoT Core and AWS KVS, which allows customers to quickly evaluate VIA Mobile360 M810 In-
Vehicle systems. Each sample device comes with a 30-day demonstraon of the VIA Fleet Cloud Management for customers to evaluate the VIA Mobile360 M810 including
real-me tracking, collision alerts with video upload, trip history and eet stascs. Also included is 50 hours of live streaming with Amazon KVS.
Please refer to the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal Quick Start Guide for complete instrucons on how to login in and setup the free trial period for a VIA Mobile360
M810 system. The secons below will explain the specic steps related to binding a VIA Mobile360 M810 system as well as how to calibrate and enable the available AI
funcons.
Note:
The DSS Camera is mandatory for the a Mobile360 M810 system to be connected to the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal.
4.1 VIA Fleet Vehicle Registraon
Aer creang a eet and a vehicle model as described in secon 1.3.1 of the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal Quick Start Guide, the next step is to add a vehicle in
which the VIA Mobile360 M810 system will be installed.
1. From the le-hand menu, select “Management -> Vehicles”.
2. From the top menu bar, select “Add Vehicle” to register a new vehicle to the new eet group created.

3. A pop-up window will appear asking which device will be installed in the new vehicle. Select "VIA Mobile360 M810" as the VIA Mobile360 Series Plaorm to be
installed and then click "OK".
4. Fill in the informaon for the new vehicle including:
• Vehicle Name - Used to idenfy the vehicle throughout the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal.
• Plate Number - The license plate number of the vehicle the VIA Mobile360 M810 system is installed in.
• Fleet - Select the “Fleet” created in step 3 of secon 1.3.1 in the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal Quick Start Guide.
• Vehicle Model - Select the vehicle model (mandatory) created in step 7 of secon 1.3.1 in the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal Quick Start Guide. If the
required vehicle model is not yet added, add it as per instrucons in steps 5 - 8 of secon 1.3.1 in the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal Quick Start Guide.
Note:
When a vehicle model is selected, the elds for "Fuel Tank Capacity", "Fuel Type", "Vehicle Weight" and "Displacement" get auto-populated for the selected vehicle model.

−Vehicle License - Image of the vehicle registraon document (not mandatory).
−Permied Drivers - Drivers must be created before adding permied drivers for the vehicle.
• AI Features
−Alert Language: Select the language the audio alerts should be played in (English, Japanese, Tradional Chinese and Simplied Chinese are supported).

5. Click “Save” to register the vehicle.
6. Aer clicking “Save”, the program will return to the “Management -> Vehicles” page. Click the Fleet name and it will expand to show the vehicle has been added to the
eet.

4.2 VIA Mobile360 M810 System Registraon
Before registering a VIA Mobile360 M810 system to the vehicle created in the secon above, install the device in the vehicle and complete the calibraon process for the
cameras/AI features available. Please refer to the VIA Mobile360 Fleet Calibraon Tool guide for complete instrucons.
Aer installaon is complete, follow the steps below to register the VIA Mobile360 M810 to the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal.
1. Scan the appropriate QR code below to download the VIA Mobile360 app from either the Google Play Store for Android devices or the App Store for iOS devices.
2. Aer installaon is complete, launch the app.

3. Select “Me” from the boom row of icons in the app.
4. Select “VIA Fleet Login”.
5. Input the same Username and Password provided for the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal to login and tap on “OK”.
6. Select "Vehicle Binding" to display the list of all vehicles created in your VIA Fleet Cloud Management account.

7. Start the vehicle to power on the VIA Mobile360 M810 system. Aer the system nishes boong there will be a short beep followed by the nocaon “Scan
registraon QR code.” Aer the audio nocaon, there is a 60 second window to scan the QR code from the app.
8. In the app, tap on the vehicle in the list to generate a QR code that is used to bind the system.
9. Place the QR code in front of the driver camera lens of the VIA Mobile360 M810 system.
10. Once the system has scanned the QR code the system will play the audio conrmaon, “Registraon successful”.
11. Tap on “OK” on the pop-up nocaon to return to the vehicle list where it will show “Registered” beside the vehicle name.
Note:
The VIA Mobile360 ADAS Display is the recommended accessory to see and hear system alerts. Please refer to Appendix B of the VIA Mobile360 M810 User Manual for detailed informaon and
instrucons.
If the QR code is not successfully scanned within the 60 seconds me frame, the device will play the audio nocaon “Registraon Failed”. If this occurs, reboot the device and start over.
12. Log back into the VIA Fleet Cloud Management Portal and go to “Management -> Vehicles”. Click on the Fleet in the list and select the vehicle which was registered.
There will be three new secons added to the vehicle informaon page.
