Preparing the boiler installation
1. Prepare the water connections.
Flush the heating system thor-
oughly.
2. Prepare the oil connections (oil fil-
ter).
&Single line filter (magnum filter
bowl with large filter insert, filter
mesh max. 40 µm) with automatic
fuel oil air vent valve (see
page 17).
&Fit the filter as near as possible
to the lower edge of the l.h. side
panel to leave the flexible oil
lines long enough to enable the
burner removal.
3. Prepare the electrical connections.
&Power cable (sheathed cable):

Install the safety lines.
Minimum cross-sections
&Safety valve blow-off line:

plied tee on the safety equipment

Permiss. operating pressure: 3 bar
Test pressure: 4 bar
Low water indicator
Tests have verified that the low water
indicator stipulated by EN 12828 is
not required.
Note
The boiler safety equipment block is
fitted with a safety valve.
Condensate connection
Connect the condensate drain with a
constant slope and a pipe vent to the
public sewer. Install a neutralising
system, if required.
Note
When burning low sulphur fuel oil DIN
51603-EL-1 (sulphur content
≤50 mg/kg), a neutralising system is
not required according to the ATV-
DVWK-A 251 [Germany].
!Please note
Flue gas may escape from the
condensate line if that is not
equipped with a siphon.
Install the siphon supplied if no
neutralising system, or active
charcoal filter is connected.
Theneutralisingsystemand
the active charcoal filter avail-
able as accessories are
respectively equipped with
integral siphons.
Connection with siphon
Note
The siphon is packed with the boiler casing, i.e. behind the front panel.
The siphon does not need to be installed if the neutralising system described on
page 13 (accessory) is installed.

Route the supply hose as straight as possible to prevent backpressure.

Note
The neutralising system can be installed in the plinth. The neutralising system
can also be installed alongside the boiler, if the boiler is mounted on top of the
DHW cylinder or on an on-site plinth.

AFuel oil filter with automatic air
vent valve

Install a single line fuel oil filter R ⅜"
(filter mesh max. 40 µm) and a fuel oil
air vent valve in the oil supply.
We recommend:
&Automatic fuel oil air vent valve with
filter: FloCo-Optimum-K (filter mesh
5 µm), part no. 9567 358
&For replacement during mainte-
nance work: Oil filter insert
MicrotecMC-18(filtermesh5µm),
Part no. 9563 742
With low-lying tank:
If the suction head or the max. pipe-
line length is greater than specified in
the table below, install an oil delivery
unit with buffer tank in the immediate
proximity of the boiler.
