B for Using Hood
Although th hood is cl an d upon compl tion of th
manufacturing proc ss, you will probably n d to cl an your
hood again aft r installation. Wip th surfac of th hood with
a good hous hold cl an r appli d with a soft cloth, or stainl ss
st l polish, d p nding on th finish of your hood. This will
l av a prot ctiv finish on th hood.
Heat Sensor Thermostat
Your hood is quipp d with a h at s nsor th rmostat. Th
th rmostat will turn on or sp d up th blow r if it s ns s
xc ssiv h at abov th cooking surfac . Wh n th s nsor
activat s, th l tt rs “HOT” will app ar on th display. If th
blow r is OFF - th s nsor turns th blow r on to HIGH sp d.
If th blow r is on at a low r sp d s tting - th s nsor turns
th blow r up to HIGH sp d. Wh n th t mp ratur l v l
drops to normal, th blow r will r turn to its original s tting
and th display will b cl ar d.

RDWHC Model Operation
Always turn on your hood b for you b gin cooking to
stablish airflow in th kitch n. Also l t th blow r run for a f w
minut s to cl ar th air aft r you turn off your cooking

ON/OFF switch—Starts and stops th blow r. Wh n turn d on
th blow r will op rat at th pr vious s tting of th sp d
control.
Blower speed knob—Turn count rclockwis to d cr as th
blow r sp d and clockwis to incr as th sp d. Th typ of
cooking you ar doing will dictat th sp d of th blow r you
us .
Light switch—Controls th 50-watt halog n lights locat d in
th front of th hood.
Dimmer knob—Turn th knob clockwis to bright n th lights
and count rclockwis to dim.

Cleaning Mesh Filters
As air pass s through th filt r, gr as particl s coll ct on th stainl ss

to assur that all surfac s and parts ar cl an. This unit is quipp d with
an alarm. Onc th unit has b n in op ration for 48 hours, th l tt rs “FILT”
will app ar on th display. Th filt rs can th n b wash d in a dishwash r or
in a sink with hot, soapy wat r. Simpl p riodic cl aning will nsur maximum
ff ctiv n ss. Do not us caustic d t rg nt to cl an th filt rs. An abrasiv or
corrosiv cl an r may damag th finish. Do not tak th filt rs apart to cl an
th m. It is not n c ssary and will void th filt r warranty. Onc th filt rs hav
b n cl an d and plac d back in th hood, th display is canc l d by
holding th scroll up (+) and th scroll down (-) buttons for 5 s conds.
Maintaining Charcoal Filter (Recirculating Hoods Only)

Cleaning Hood Canopy

1. Do not allow an xc ssiv accumulation of gr as . For b st

warm, soapy wat r. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS,
STEEL WOOL PADS, OR ABRASIVE CLOTHS. DO NOT us
cl ans rs that contain chlorid s; th chlorid s in th cl an r
could damag th stainl ss st l finish. If you n d to scrap
stainl ss st l to r mov ncrust d mat rials, first soak th ar a
with hot tow ls to loos n th mat rial, th n us a wood n or
nylon spatula or scrap r. DO NOT us a m tal knif , spatula, or
any oth r m tal tool to scrap stainl ss st l.
2. Ev ry 3 months giv your hood a thorough cl aning. On
paint d surfac s, us a n w coat of wax. A good wax
cl an r—availabl at ith r a groc ry or hardwar stor —will
do both jobs at onc . On stainl ss st l surfac s, us a good
stainl ss st l cl an r and polish.
Renewing Enamel Finish
If discoloration occurs, you should thoroughly polish th finish
on your hood to r n w its gloss and lust r and to r mov any
gr as r sidu which may hav a y llowing ff ct. Us any
good nam l polish, r frig rator polish, or automotiv polish.
Renewing Stainless Steel Finish
R gular cl aning is th b st way to assur that your stainl ss
st l finish stays bright and unscratch d. Us l mon oil or
stainl ss st l polish to coat and prot ct stainl ss st l.
CAUTION
All brass special ordered parts are coated with an epoxy
coating. DO NOT use brass cleaners or abrasive cleansers
on the brass option parts.
CAUTION
Do not use a porcelain cleaner or rough abrasive cleaner.

*FULL NINETY (90) DAY COSMETIC WARRANTY: Product is warrant d to b fr from
