1.2 Target groups
The target groups of these operating instructions are users.
Users:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Warning!
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
•
Young children should not use the whirlpool baths without continuous supervision.
• Slow moving/weak elderly or disabled persons should take care when using whirlpool baths and
must be extra careful when getting in and out the bath.
• Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction.
Important
•
Very young children (aged from 0 up to and including 3 years) should not use the
whirlpool baths.
• Young children (aged from 3 years and younger then 8 years) should not use the whirlpool
baths without continuous supervision.
• This appliance is not intended for use by very vulnerable people (persons having very
extensive and complex disabilities), for people who cannot feel pain and for people whose
ability to move is restricted. They are not expected to use whirlpool baths safely.
1.3 Guarantee
Following purchase of this quality product, the producer extends to you a factory guarantee for a period of 10 years
duration on the bath itself.This guarantee covers: manufacturing faults, colour changes and/or cracks. Formed as a result
of the ageing of material and/or distortions caused by hot water.
A three year guarantee is given on all components of this luxury whirlpool system with the provision that the following
conditions are met:
- The whirlpool system bath is installed in accordance with the enclosed installation and operation instructions;
- The technical section must be easily accessible;
- The placing, connection and any necessary repairs are carried out by an officially recognised fitter.
Components that are liable to deteriorate under normal conditions of use are not covered by the guarantee.This includes
the motor(s) carbon brushes and underwater lighting if present. Neither is the remote control, if present, covered by the
guarantee should it be damaged as a result of being dropped or bumped. For professional rather than domestic use of baths
with a whirlpool system, the producer provides a guarantee of one year for the technical parts.
The guarantee is only valid when the product (the bath and the whirlpool system installed) has been installed and
maintained in accordance with our instructions for installation and use. The product must not be subjected to modifications
(for example, drilling holes) that are not indicated in the enclosed installation instructions.The guarantee is limited to the
repair or replacement of products supplied. To make a claim under the terms of the guarantee, please contact your supplier.
Indirect damages and/or the cost of building-in or removal are not covered by the guarantee. The producer is not responsible
for the consequences of negligent installation.

1.4 Maintenance and care
Cleaning
Your bathtub will remain handsome for many years if you clean it regularly using a liquid cleaning agent (Sunlight
Citrus, Lux, Solo) and a sponge or soft brush.
Removing obstinate spots
Obstinate spots are best removed using a sponge and a liquid cleaning agent (such as Viss, Cif, Vif), diluted with
water. Scale deposits are best removed using a solution of vinegar. Bathtubs having a matte external surface must
never be cleaned using cleaning agents such as Viss, Ciff or Vif.
Resistance to household chemicals
The Acryl bathtub is resistant to all commercially available chemicals.
Repair of damage
If the surface gets damaged it may, in certain circumstances, be possible for this damage to be rectified by our
customer service. Please contact our sales organisation to proceed with this.
2 Safety
2.1 Intended use
The appliance is a Villeroy&Boch system bathtub to be used for bathing in domestic use.
Intended use also includes:
•compliance with all the instructions in these operating/installation instructions
•compliance with the inspection and maintenance tasks
•exclusive use of original parts
Important
The installer and first owner of the whirlpool bath or system must make the instructions
available to subsequent owners and users. We will be pleased to send you our latest
literature when you move house.
• the use of cleaning materials others than those recommended by the manufacturer can
result in damage to the batht and/or whirlpool apparatus
•
To be adjusted (repaired) only by installers who can demonstrate to the appropriate
authorities awareness and competencein the application of National Regulatory for
safety, i.e. electrical and water supply/disposal.
2.2 Reasonably predictable misuse
Any use other than those listed under "intended use", or use which goes beyond this, is considered to be non-
intended.
For damage arising from non-intended use, the operator himself is exclusively responsible, and the manufacturer does
not accept any liability whatsoever.

2.3 General safety instructions

•The unit is designed to operate using 230 V 50 Hz alternating current. Installation of
product only to be performed by a qualified installer.
•When carrying out work, make sure that the lead is disconnected from the mains and secured
against reconnection.

•Live parts, excluding parts supplied by SELV circuits at voltages not exceeding 12 V, must not
be accessible to a bathing person.

•When cleaning and carrying out maintenance work, make sure not to touch live parts.

Live components that have not been fitted or fixed properly can lead to severe injury and even
death.
•The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.
•All electrical, electromagnetic components of the product and that are required for
installation (with the exception of the remote control, if present) must be securely attached to
the bath/floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions and National regulations.
•To prevent injury and even death, all Live parts must be securely attached to the bath/ floor/
wall in accordance with the installation instructions and National regulations.
•Other parts incorporating electrical components, except remote control devices, must be
located or fixed so that they cannot fall into the bath.
Warning!
Don’t use the whirlpool bath if the safety cover is loose, missing, or defective. Safe use of
the whilpool bath system is not assured in these cases.
Should the safety cover be damaged or defective, have it replaced by a skilled person.
System baths are equipped with a special protective drain cover (Safety Cover). If the opening in the
drain cover close up during use, e.g., through dirt or because you are
sitting on it, water circulation is deactivated. In this case you should
switch off the bath for 1 minute and, if necessary, clean the drain.
Then set the bath into operation again.

Vor der Installation und Verwendung des Geräts die Installations- und Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig lesen. Die
Installations- und Bedienungsanleitung stets an einem für den Nutzer zugänglichen Ort aufbewahren.
Vor der Montage die Produkte auf Schäden und Vollständigkeit prüfen. Offensichtliche Mängel können nach der
Installation nicht mehr übernommen werden.

Die Zielgruppen dieser Bedienungsanleitung sind Betreiber.
Betrieber:
Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern im Alter von 8 Jahren und älter sowie Personen mit eingeschränkten körperlichen,
sensorischen und geistigen Fähigkeiten oder fehlender Erfahrung und Wissen verwendet werden, sofern dies unter
Aufsicht und mit Anleitung zur Benutzung geschieht und sie die damit verbundenen Gefahren verstehen. Kinder
dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
Warnung!
• Reinigung und Wartung sollte von Kindern nicht ohne Aufsicht durchgeführt werden.
Hinweis
• Die Badewanne darf von jungen Kindern
(3-8 Jahre) nur unter ständiger Beaufsichtigung
1.3 Garantie
Sie haben auf dieses Qualitätsprodukt nach dem Erwerb 10 Jahre Werksgarantie.
Die Garantie umfaßt: Produktionsfehler, Farbveränderungen und/oder Rißbildung in Folge von Materialermüdung
und Verformung durch heißes Wasser. Auf alle Bestandteile dieses Luxus-Whirlpoolsystems werden Ihnen 3 Jahre
Gewährleistung gewährt, unter folgender Voraussetzung:
- Die Whirlpoolsystemwanne ist laut der mitgelieferten Einbau- und Gebrauchsanweisung installiert worden;
- Die technische Anlage ist zugänglich;
- Aufstellung, Anschluß und eventuelle Reparaturen wurden von einem anerkannten Installateur vorgenommen.
Teile, die normalem Verschleiß ausgesetzt sind, wie Kohlebürsten der Motoren und gegebenenfalls die Lampen der
Unterwasserbeleuchtung fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistungbestimmungen. Die Gewährleistung für die
Fernbedienung gilt nicht, falls diese durch Fallen oder Stoßen beschädigt wurde. Bei gewerblicher Nutzung von Wannen
mit einem Whirlpoolsystem gewährt der Hersteller auf die technischen Teile eine Gewährleistung von 1 Jahr.
Die Gewährleistung gilt ausschließlich, wenn das Erzeugnis (betrifft die Wanne und Whirlpoolsystem) laut unserer
Einbau- und Gebrauchsanleitung installiert und gewartet wurde. Das Produkt darf keiner Bearbeitung ausgesetzt gewesen
sein (z.B. Bohren von Löchern), die nicht in der zum Produkt gehörigen Einbauanleitung enthalten ist.
Die Gewährleistung beschränkt sich auf die Reparatur oder den Austausch der gelieferten Produkte. Zur Inanspruch-
nahme der Gewährleistung können Sie sich an Ihren Lieferanten wenden. Folgeschäden und Ein- und/oder Ausbau-
kosten fallen nicht unter die Gewährleistung. Der Hersteller haftet für keine Folgen unsachgemäßen Einbaus.
• Kleinkinder (0-3 Jahren) sollten den Whirlpool nicht nutzen.
• Der Whirlpool kann von Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten körperlichen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten sowie Personen ohne Erfahrung genutzt werden.
Hierzu ist eine Einweisung erforderlich, die den sicheren Umgang vermittelt und auf
mögliche Gefahren hinweist.

1.4 Wartung und Pflege
Reinigung
Ihre Badewanne bleibt jahrelang schön, wenn Sie sie regelmäßig mit flüssigem Spülmittel (Sunlight Citrus, Lux, Solo)
und einem Schwamm oder einer weichen Bürste reinigen.
Entfernung hartnäckiger Verschmutzungen
Hartnäckige Verschmutzungen lassen sich mit einem Schwamm und einem flüssigen Reinigungsmittel (z. B. Viss,
Cif, Vif) verdünnt mit Wasser entfernen. Zur Beseitigung von Kalkablagerungen verwendet man am besten eine
Essiglössung.
Beständigkeit gegen Haushaltschemikalien
Die Acryl Badewanne ist gegen alle handelsüblichen Chemikalien beständig.
Reparatur von Beschädigungen
Wenn die Oberfläche beschädigt wurde, ist es in bestimmten Fällen möglich, diesen Schaden wieder von unserem
Kundendienst beheben zu lassen. Nehmen Sie dazu mit unserer Verkaufsorganisation Kontakt auf.
2 Sicherheit
2.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Gerät ist eine Villeroy&Boch Systemwanne die zum Baden im häuslichen Gebrauch verwendet wird.
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung gehören auch:
•das Beachten aller Hinweise dieser Bedienungs-/Installationsanleitung
•das Einhalten der Inspektions- und Wartungsarbeiten
•das ausschließliche Verwenden von Originalteilen
2.2 Vernünftigerweise vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung
Eine andere als die unter der „Bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung“ festgelegte oder über diese hinausgehende
Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Für Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung trägt der Betreiber die alleinige Verantwortung und der
Hersteller übernimmt keinerlei Haftung.
Hinweis
Installateur und Erstkäufer des Whirlpool-Bades oder Whirlpool-Systems müssen den
nachfolgenden Eigentümern und Nutzern eine entsprechende Bedienungsanleitung zur
Verfügung stellen. Eine aktuelle Dokumentation erhalten Sie im Bedarfsfall bei uns.
• D ie Verwendung von anderen als den vom Hersteller empfohlenen Reinigungsmitteln kann
zu Schäden an der Badewanne und / oder am Whirlpool führen.
• Die Installation der elektrischen Anlagen so wie eventuelle Reparaturen der Anlagen dürfen
nur von einem zugelassenen Elektro-Installateur ausgeführt werden.

Das Berühren von stromführenden Teilen kann zu schweren Verletzungen bis hin zum Tod
führen.
•Das Gerät ist für die Verwendung von 230 V, 50 Hz Wechselstrom ausgelegt. Die Installation
des Produktes ist ausschließlich von einer qualifizierten Fachkraft vorzunehmen.
•Sicherstellen, dass während den Arbeiten die Leitung stromfrei geschaltet und gegen
Wiedereinschalten gesichert ist.

Gefahr durch Stromschlag!
Das Berühren von stromführenden Teilen kann zu schweren Verletzungen bis hin zum Tod
führen.
•Komponenten mit spannungsführenden Bauteilen, mit Ausnahme von Teilen mit Schutz
durch Kleinspannung (SELV) mit max. 12 V, dürfen sich nicht in Reichweite der Person in
der Badewanne befinden.

Gefahr durch Stromschlag beim Reinigen und bei der Wartung!
Das Berühren von stromführenden Komponenten bei der Reinigung und Wartung kann zu
schweren Verletzungen bis hin zum Tod führen.
•Bei der Reinigung und Wartung darauf achten, keine stromführenden Teile zu berühren.

Gefahr durch Stromschlag!
Spannungsführende Teile die nicht fachgerecht angebracht oder befestigt wurden können zu
schweren Verletzungen bis hin zum Tod führen.
•Dieses Produkt ist nur in Verbindung mit der mitgelieferten "Kontrollbox" zu verwenden.
•Alle elektrischen, elektromagnetischen und zur Installation benötigen Komponenten des
Produkts (mit Ausnahme der Fernbedienung) müssen gemäß Installationsanleitung und
nationalen Vorgaben an Badewanne/Boden/Wand sicher angebracht werden.
•Um Verletzungen oder sogar Tod zu vermeiden, müssen alle spannungsgeladenen Teile
sicher gemäß Installationsanleitung und nationalen Vorgaben an Badewanne/Boden/Wand
angebracht werden.
•Andere Teile, die elektrische Komponenten beinhalten, mit der Ausnahme von
Fernbedienungen, müssen sich in ausreichendem Abstand zur Badewanne befinden oder so
befestigt sein, dass sie nicht hineinfallen können.

Die Systembadewannen sind mit einem besonders gesicherten Ablaufdeckel versehen (Safety
Cover). Sollte während des Badens zwar die Pumpe des Systems
arbeiten, aber kein Wasserdrück entstehen, überprüfen Sie den Ablauf
auf Verunreinigungen und entfernen Sie diese gegebenenfalls. Die
Wasserzirkulation hört ebenfalls auf, wenn die Öffnungen im Ablauf
bei Gebrauch verschlossen sind (beispielsweise weil Sie darauf sitzen). In diesen Fällen müssen
Sie das System 1 Minute lang abschalten und den Ablauf nötigenfalls reinigen. Anschließend
schalten Sie das System wieder ein.
• Benutzen sie den Whirlpool nicht, wenn der Ablaufdeckel locker ist, fehlt oder defekt ist. Eine
sichere Nutzung ist in diesen Fällen nicht gewährleistet.
• Sollte der Ablaufdeckel beschädigt oder defekt sein, lassen Sie sie von einem Fachmann ersetzen.

•Komponenten mit spannungsführenden Bauteilen, mit Ausnahme von Teilen mit Schutz
durch Kleinspannung (SELV) mit max. 12 V, dürfen sich nicht in Reichweite der Person in
der Badewanne befinden.
Schwache, ältere oder beeinträchtigte Personen sollten den Whirlpool nur mit Vorsicht
nutzen, insbesondere beim Ein- bzw. Aussteigen.
