1. IDENTIFY HARDWARE
Identify the proper hardware for installing the Low Profile
Post System into your specific ceiling and floor materials
(not included). For drywall, VintageView recommends
installing to joists or wood backing when available.
2. MEASURE HEIGHT FOR FIRST POST
Measure the ceiling height of the location of the first Post.
Subtract ½” (13mm) from the measurement.
3. MEASURE & MARK FIRST POST
Lay each end of the Post on the ground and overlap so
that the measurement from the top to the bottom equals
your measurement from Step 2 (Figure A).
Use a Pencil or a Marker to mark the cut line. Do not
mark or cut the end with the c-Channel.
** If the ceiling height is greater than 120” (3098mm),
up to 122” (3099mm), the Mounting Base inserted into
the Post Top can telescope up 2” (51mm) **
4. CUT TO FIT
Using a Metal Cutting Saw, cut the Post at the Mark (Fig-
ure B). Use a Metal File to smooth the surface of the cut.
** Do not use Abrasive Saws as they may damage the
finish **
5. INSERT THE MOUNTING BASES
Insert (1) Mounting Base fully into the open end of the
Post Bottom with c-Channel. Secure the Base using (2)
Self-Drilling Screws (Figure C).
Insert (1) Mounting Base into an open end of a post
top (Figure D). Do not secure with Screws until step
10 to allow for height variations.

6. CONNECT THE POST
Slide the Post Top onto the c-Channel in the lower Post. It
may require a Rubber Mallet to connect fully (Figure E).
7. MARK CEILING/FLOOR AND PRE-DRILL
Align the first Post Assembly into desired location. Ensure
it is plumb with a level and mark the mounting holes. Set
the Post Assembly aside and pre-drill any required pilot
holes for your ceiling or floor mounting hardware (not
provided).
** Mounting Bases can be oriented perpendicular or
parallel to the Wine Racking. **
8. MARK AND PRE-DRILL POST
Starting from the bottom of the Post, lay the first Low Pro-
file Mounting Plate in the desired location and mark two
(2) mounting hole locations. Mark the holes for all other
Plates ensuring a minimum of 3-3/4” (96mm) vertical
clearance from one Plate to the next.
Use a Level or Square to ensure all Plates are Level. Set
Plates aside.
Using the provided Drill Bit, pre-drill all marked mounting
hole locations.
9. ASSEMBLE FIRST WINE RACK ROWS
Each Wine Rack Row assembly is comprised of two (2)
Low Profile Plates in one of three (3) widths (Figure G);
either two (2), four (4), or six (6) Wine Rods available
in three standard widths; and two (2), four (4), or six (6)
Evolution Screws.
Insert one (1) Evolution Screw per Wine Rod through
the first Low Profile Mounting Plate. Thread each
Wine Rod onto a Screw and fully tighten using pro-
vided 5mm Allen Key. Close the Wine Rack Row by
securing the open ends of the Wine Rods to the one
(1) Low Profile Mounting Plate using one (1) Evolu-
tion Screw per Wine Rod (Figure H).
Repeat this step to build the first three (3) Wine Rack
Row Assemblies.

10. INSTALL THE FIRST POST
Place the Post Assembly in the desired location. Ensure
it is plumb both front and back and side-to-side with a
level. Secure the Mounting Base and Post to the ceiling
using two (2) of the appropriate fasteners (not provided).
Adjust the Mounting Base up to 2” (51mm) to meet the
ceiling if needed (Figure I), then secure the Mounting
Base to the Post Top using two (2) Self-Drilling Screws.
Double check the Post is plumb with a level and secure
the Post to the floor using two (2) of the appropriate fas-
teners (not provided).
11. ATTACH THE FIRST WINE RACK ROWS
Attach one side of the bottom Wine Rack Row Assembly
to the lowest set of mounting holes on the Post using two
(2) Self-Drilling Screws (Figure J).
** Use a low-torque setting on the Power Drill. **
Attach one side of the top and middle Wine Rack Row
Assemblies using two (2) Self-Drilling Screws each.
Use a level and square to ensure each Mounting Plate is
level before fully tightening.
12. BUILD THE SECOND POST
Repeat steps 2-6 to build the Second Post. If installing
more than one connected Low Profile Column, be sure to
pre-drill Mounting Plate Holes on two opposite sides of
the Post.
13. ALIGN AND INSTALL SECOND POST
Use the total width of one Wine Rack Row Assembly to
determine the distance between the inside of the installed
Post and the inside of the next Post.
Place the second Post in the location and ensure
it is plumb both front and back and side-to-side with a

level. Mark and pre-drill mounting hole locations into
the floor and ceiling surfaces, then place the Post
Assembly in the desired location (Figure K).
Ensure it is plumb both front and back and side-to-
side with a level. Secure the Mounting Base and
Post to the ceiling using two (2) of the appropriate
fasteners (not provided).
Adjust the Mounting Base up to 2” (51mm) to meet
the ceiling, then secure the Mounting Base to the
Post Top using two (2) Self-Drilling Screws.
Instructions: Low Prole Post System
Double check the Post is plumb with a level and secure
the Post to the floor using two (2) of the appropriate fas-
teners (not provided).
14. ATTACH THE FIRST WINE RACK ROWS
Fasten the bottom Wine Rack Row Assembly to the sec-
ond Post using two (2) Self-Drilling Screws.
** Use a low-torque setting on the Power Drill. **
Repeat with the top and middle Wine Rack Row Assem-
blies using two (2) Self-Drilling Screws each.
Use a level and square to ensure each Wine Rack Row
Assembly is level before fully tightening.
15. BUILD/INSTALL REMAINING
WINE RACK ROW ASSEMBLIES
Repeat step 9 to build all remaining Wine Rack Rows for
the column. Starting from the lowest remaining mounting
hole locations, secure each remaining Wine Rack Row
using four (4) Self-Drilling Screws into your pre-drilled
holes. Work up until column is complete.
For single-column installations, skip to step 19 to finish
the procedure. Continue to next step if adding additional
Low Profile Post System Columns.
MULTI-COLUMN INSTALLS (Figure J)
16: BUILD AND ATTACH FIRST ROWS
Using Step 9, build the first three (3) Wine Rack Rows
for the next column. Attach the bottom, top, and middle
Wine Rack Row Assemblies to the second Post using two
(2) Self-Drilling Screws each.
17. BUILD THE NEXT POST
Repeat steps 2-6 to build the next Post. If installing addi-
tional connected Low Profile Columns, be sure to pre-drill
Mounting Plate Holes on two opposite sides of the Post.
18: COMPLETE THE NEXT COLUMN
Repeat steps 13-15 to complete the column. Steps 16-18
can be repeated as many times as necessary to scale the
size of the Low Profile Post System to meet your specifica-
tions.
19: ADD WINE
Hopefully the good stuff.
