IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the warnings below before using your headset. To ensure your own
safety, observe all warnings while using your headset.
WARNINGS
• Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the headset
• Always include this User Manual when passing the headset to a third party
• Do not use the headset if any sort of defect or damage is found
• Do not listen at high volume for extended periods of time as this may cause
hearing damage
• Always maintain a distance of 4” (10cm) between the ear cups and any
cardiac pacemaker or implanted defibrillator as the headset generates
permanent magnetic fields
• Keep the headset, its packaging, and any of its related parts or accessories
out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental consumption or
damage
• Do not expose the headset to moisture
• Do not expose the headset to extreme temperatures (e.g. blow-dryers,
heaters, extended periods under direct sunlight, etc.) as this may cause
corrosion or deformation
• Clean the headset with soft, dry cloth only
• When not in use, power off the headset to conserve battery power.

Intended Use: The NB-9 Noise Isolating Headset is designed to work with mobile
phones and/or Bluetooth®-compliant devices and allows for wireless streaming
and phone calls.
Improper Use: Using the headset other than as described in this User Manual and/
or under operating conditions other than those described in this User Manual.
This icon denotes warnings throughout the rest of the manual. For your
safety, please read and follow any information or instruction adjacent
to this icon. We shall not be held responsible for injury or damage
of persons or products due to ignoring aforementioned warnings or
warnings marked by this icon.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The NB-9 contains a lithium-ion battery pack. As with all battery packs and/or
batteries, if misused or damaged, the pack or unit may leak. In extreme cases,
the pack or unit may explode, generate unsafe heat or fire, produce smoke or
gas, or otherwise present a fire hazard.
Do not puncture, damage, contaminate, crush, or otherwise tamper
with the battery pack or unit. We shall not be held responsible for
damage of persons or products due to misuse.

Adjusting the Headband
For optimal sound and comfort, the headband may need to be adjusted.
1. Put on the headset on that the headband is situated over the top of your head.
2. Adjust the length of the headband equally on both sides so that:
•The ear pads rest comfortably against both of your ears
•You feel an even, gentle pressure around your ears
•The headband fits snugly on your head
Transmitted radio waves from mobile phones may impair or effect the
operation of sensitive and unprotected devices. Only use the headset in
an environment where wireless Bluetooth®transmission is permitted.

Connecting to an Audio Source
The NB-9 Headset which uses Bluetooth®4.1. To enter pairing mode, perform
a long press on the power button. The LED Indicator will flash blue and red
alternatively once pairing mode is activated.
• While in pairing mode, note the following details apply:
• If prompted, enter the PIN. By default, it is “0000”. The headset will offer a
voice prompt to confirm a successful pairing.
• Long press the “+” button to increase volume. Long press the “-” button to
decrease volume.
• If the device has been paired to the headset before, long press the
headset’s power button for at least 3 seconds to turn it on and the two will
reconnect automatically.
When adjusting the volume, the sound will gradually raise. If the volume
does not seem to change, listen for a few seconds, the sound may be
adjusting more slowly than you realized.
Connecting Two Devices
After pairing to one device, long press the power button until the LED Indicator
flashes blue and red alternatively to indicate pairing mode is active. Next, turn
on Bluetooth®or NFC respectively to pair to a second device. The NB-9 can
remember up to two devices.

Disconnecting
To disconnect, power off the headset completely or press the power button
once. Pressing once will allow the headset to stay on. The headset will offer a
voice prompt to confirm a successful disconnection. If the headset remains
powered on and does not reconnect with a device, the headset will turn off
automatically.
Listening at high volume for extended periods of time may cause
hearing damage. Set the volume to a low level and adjust only after
putting on the headset. Do not continuously expose your ears to
high volume.
NFC Connect Mode
To use an NFC connection, follow the steps below.
1. When connecting for the first time, long press the power button. The LED
Indicator will flash blue and red alternatively once pairing mode is activated.
2. Turn on the NFC function within the device you wish to pair with the headset
3. Hold the device close to the headset’s left earphone
4. The device and headset will pair automatically
After successfully paired, turn on the headset. The NFC connection will
restart automatically.

Using the AUX Audio Cable
The NB-9 comes with an AUX audio cable to allow you to continue enjoying
music in case the headset runs out of power and/or you are unable to charge
it right away. To use the cable, insert the appropriate end into the headset and
the other into your mobile phone or audio device. The LED Indicator will turn red
to indicate AUX mode is active. Use the volume controls on the mobile phone or
audio device to adjust as desired.
Managing Calls
When connected to a mobile phone, the headset will offer a voice prompt
to alert you to incoming calls and call endings. Press the answer call/end
button to answer or hang up. To redial the last dialed number, double click the
phone button.
Powering Off the Headset
When not in use, power off the headset to conserve battery power.
1. Press and hold the power button until the LED Indicator flashes red twice.
2. Listen for a descending sound to confirm that the Bluetooth®connection is
deactivating and the headset is otherwise powering off.
Charging the Headset
If the headset is powered on and does not reconnect with a device, the headset
will turn off automatically. When the headset offers a voice prompt specifying

“low voltage”, recharge it. To use the charging cable, insert the appropriate
end into the headset and the other end into a computer or USB outlet. The LED
Indicator will turn red to indicate the headset is charging. When the headset
is fully recharged, it will turn off automatically. You may then disconnect from
the charger.
USB charging cable can only be used for charging purposes. If is not
possible to use it connect to audio devices and/or for audio playback. If
you wish to use a wired connection, please use the AUX audio cable.
Switch Language Mode
Voice prompts may be switched to another language for your convenience.
Prompts are available in English, Chinese, Spanish, and French. To switch press
the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Press both buttons
once again to switch to the next language.

HOW TO USE THE “SMART WEAR“ APP
Downloading the App
Using a mobile phone or device with an Android OS, scan the QR code below
and download the “Smart Wear” App. Please note the Smart Wear app is only
available from the Google Play Store and therefore must be downloaded on a
mobile phone using an Android OS. iOS is not supported.
Once downloaded and installed, use the app to connect to the headset. The
headset will synchronize data with the app.
If the app is open and/or running in the background, the headset will
prompt your phone to sound an alarm if Bluetooth®is unexpectedly
disconnected, if the headset loses power, or if the phone and headset
are moved more than 32ft. (9.6m) from one another.

After pairing the headset to a mobile phone, open the app and tap “Step
Earphone” to enter its coordinating interface.
Tap “Search Equipment” and a prompt will appear to show information
regarding a successful connecting between the headset and mobile phone.

Tap “Option” to enter its coordinating interface. Tap “Step Length” and “Weight”
to add in information as desired. To complete the setup, tap “Complete Set”. The
app will now keep track of the number of steps you take.
Within the options interface, tap “Bolt to Remind” if desired. This feature will
prompt the phone to sound an alarm if a disconnection issue arises.

From the main screen, tap on a calendar date to see the related pedometer
record for the selected date.

1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty
Viotek Inc. (Viotek) offers a ONE YEAR limited warranty covering the hardware of Viotek Wireless
Sport Headset (“Product”), limited to those residing in the 50 US States and Canada. This warranty
gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Viotek warrants the Product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
for one (1) year, as sold to the original purchaser, from the date of retail purchase by the original end-
user purchaser. If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is received within the warranty period, at
its option and to the extent permitted by law, Viotek will: (1) repair the hardware defect by using new or
refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability; or (2) exchange the product
with a product that is new or refurbished, that is substantially equivalent to the original product.
This warranty is for replacement for like-items only and does not cover items out of production if
the company no longer stocks them. This warranty is not assignable or transferable. The original
purchaser may call the Viotek toll-free number at 1-855-229-9472 for service request.
Upon Viotek’s replacement or repair of a Product under warranty, the original end-user purchaser
will have the remaining warranty under the original warranty period (without any postponement
during repair or replacement). When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes
your property and the replaced item becomes Viotek’s property. Important: Do not disassemble
the Product. Disassembling the Product will void this warranty. Only Viotek or a party expressly
authorized by Viotek should perform service on this Product.
This warranty only covers technical hardware defectiveness during the warranty period and under
normal use conditions. Viotek does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of this Product.
This Warranty does not apply to damages or circumstances, such as, but not limited to:
(a) Damage that is caused by conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting in from defects in
material or workmanship. These conditions include, but are not limited to, accidents, and improper
operation or maintenance;
(b) Product has been tampered with, repaired and/or modified by non-authorized personnel;
(c) Obsolescence;

(d) Damage (accidental or other) to the Product that is cosmetic, meaning damage that does not
impact the operation and functioning of the Product, such as without limitation to rust, change in color,
texture or finish, wear and tear, scrapes, scratches, dents, cracks, or gradual deterioration;
(e) Damage to the Product caused by war, terrorism, fire, accident, natural disaster, intentional
or accidental misuse, abuse, neglect or improper maintenance, use under abnormal conditions,
accidental drops, abuse or fire;
(f) Damage to the Product caused by an external electrical fault, surge, or any electrical anomaly;
(g) Any contamination, condition or other circumstance, which Viotek, in its sole discretion, considers
a danger to health and safety, including, but not limited to any contact between the Product and a
biohazard, bodily fluids, infectious materials/substance, chemicals, hazardous substances, diseases,
radiation, or other;
(h) Fraud, theft, misplacement, unexplained disappearance, or willful acts.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET
FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES
AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
AS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VIOTEK SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL
STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND WARRANTIES AGAINST
HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IF VIOTEK CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR
IMPLIED WARRANTIES THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES
SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY AND
TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICE AS DETERMINED BY VIOTEK IN ITS SOLE
DISCRETION. NO RESELLER, AGENT, OR EMPLOYEE IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY

MODIFICATION, EXTENSION, OR ADDITION TO THIS WARRANTY. IF ANY TERM(S) IS HELD
ILLEGAL OR UNENFORCEABLE, THE LEGALITY AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THE REMAINING
TERMS SHALL NOT BE AFFECTED OR IMPAIRED.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED
BY LAW, VIOTEK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION
OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING
BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE; LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED
PROFITS (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS ON CONTRACTS); LOSS OF THE USE OF MONEY;
LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF
GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, COMPROMISE, OR CORRUPTION
OF DATA; OR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE HOWSOEVER
CAUSED INCLUDING THE REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF
RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR
USED WITH THE PRODUCT AND ANY FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA
STORED ON THE PRODUCT. THE FOREGOING LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS, OR ANY STATUTORY LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL AND GROSS
NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS. VIOTEK DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION THAT IT
WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR MAKE A PRODUCT
EXCHANGE, AND IS UNABLE TO RECOVER ANY USER SOFTWARE OR DATA ON THE DEVICE.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation.
