General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this volumizing hot air brush
(referred to below only as the “hot air brush”).
It contains important information on start-up and handling.
Before using the hot air brush, read the user manual carefully.
This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to observe this user
manual may result in severe injury or damage to the hot air brush.
Store the user manual for future use. If you pass the hot air brush on to third
parties, please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the
hot air brush or on the packaging.
WARNING!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard
with moderate degree of risk which may
lead to death or severe injury if not avoided.
CAUTION!
This signal symbol/word designates a
hazard with low risk that, if not avoided,
may result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE! This signal word warns against potential

This symbol provides you with useful supplementary information
on use.
This symbol identifies electrical devices that belong to the

This symbol states that the hot air brush must not be used near
bath tubs, shower trays or other vessels containing water.

Safety
Proper use
The hot air brush is only designed for styling wet and dry human hair.
It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial purposes,
e.g. for a hair salon.
Only use the hot air brush as described in this user manual. Any other use is
deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even personal
injury. The hot air brush is not a children’s toy.
The manufacturer or vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
A faulty electrical installation or excessive line voltage may
result in an electric shock.
− Do not use the hot air brush if your hair is dripping wet.
Dry your hair beforehand with a towel.
− Do not use the hot air brush if you are standing on a wet
floor.
− Make sure that hair or other debris do not end up in the
air intake and air outlet.
− Only connect the hot air brush if the line voltage of the
socket corresponds to the specification on the rating plate.
− Only connect the hot air brush to an easily accessible
socket so that you can quickly disconnect the hot air brush
from the grid in the event of a fault.
− Do not operate the hot air brush if it exhibits visible
damages or the power cable or power plug is defective.
− If the power cable of the hot air brush is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales support or
a similarly qualified person to prevent risks.

− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified
professional perform the repairs. Contact a qualified
workshop for this. Liability and warranty claims are
waived in the event of repairs performed by the user,
improper connection of the device or incorrect operation.
− Only parts that comply with the original device data may
be used for repairs. Electrical and mechanical parts, which
are essential for providing protection against sources of
danger, are located in this hot air brush.
− Do not operate the hot air brush with an external timer
or separate telecontrol system.
− Do not store the hot air brush near water.
− Pull the power plug after use if you are using the hot air
brush in a bathroom. If water is nearby, there is a risk
even if the hot air brush has been switched off.
− As additional protection, it is recommended that you
install a residual current protective device (FI/RCD) with
a release current of no more than 30mA in the bathroom
power circuit. Ask your installation technician for advice.
− Do not immerse the hot air brush, the power cable or the
power plug in water or other liquids.
− Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
− Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the power
cable; instead, always do so by taking hold of the power
plug.
− Never use the power cable as a carrying handle.
− Keep the hot air brush, power plug and power cable
away from open flames and hot surfaces.
− Lay the power cable so that it does not pose a tripping
hazard.
− Do not kink the power cable and do not lay it over sharp
edges.
− Only use the hot air brush in rooms located indoors.
− Never expose the hot air brush to the effects of the
weather such as rain or snow.

− Never store the hot air brush such that there is a risk of it
falling in a tub or sink.
− Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen
in water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the
power plug.
− Make sure that children do not insert any objects in the
hot air brush.
− Always switch the hot air brush off and pull the power
plug out of the socket when you are not using the hot air
brush, cleaning it or in the event of a fault.
− Do not modify the hot air brush or power cable in any way.
− Only use an extension cord or plug adapter that does not
exceed the maximum current rating and which complies
with valid safety regulations.
− Do not use the hot air brush in a storm. In such a case,
immediately disconnect the power plug.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities (e.g. partially disabled
persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental
capacities) or lack of experience and knowledge
(e.g. older children).
− This hot air brush may be used by children ages eight
and over as well as persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience
and knowledge if they are supervised or have been
instructed in how to safely use the hot air brush and
have understood the risks associated with operating it.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed
by unsupervised children.
− Keep children under eight years of age away from the
hot air brush and the connector cable.
− Do not leave the hot air brush unattended while in use.

− Do not allow children to play with the packaging material.
While playing, children could swallow small parts or slip
the plastic foil over their head and suffocate.
CAUTION!
Scalding, burn and fire hazard!
The parts of the hot air brush become hot during use. You could
burn yourself on them or they could cause a fire.
− Keep the hot air brush away from burning objects during
use.
− Do not touch the brush adapter, particularly the air intake
and air outlet during operation.
− Do not place any objects such as towels or newspapers
on the hot air brush.
− Do not use the hot air brush for wigs or hairpieces made
of synthetic materials.
− Do not cover the air intake and air outlet during operation.
− Clean the air intake and air outlet grate regularly.
− Immediately switch the hot air brush off if it gets too hot.
− Immediately pull the power plug if the temperature
protection switch is activated and the hot air brush has
switched off.
− Make sure there is a safe distance to all flammable objects,
e.g. curtains and drapes.
− Clearly advise other users of the risks.

Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the hot air brush may damage it.
− Do not place the hot air brush on the edge or corner of the
work surface.

− Prevent the build-up of heat by setting down the hot air
brush so that the heat produced during use can disperse
into the surroundings.
− Never place the hot air brush on or near hot surfaces
(stovetops etc.).
− Ensure that the power cable does not come into contact
with hot parts.
− Never expose the hot air brush to high temperatures
(heater etc.) or to the effects of the weather (rain etc.).
Never fill the hot air brush with liquid.
− Never attempt to clean the hot air brush by submerging
it in water and do not use a steam cleaner to clean it.
Otherwise, the hot air brush could be damaged.
− Stop using the hot air brush if its plastic parts or the hot air
brush exhibit cracks or breaks or are deformed. Only replace
damaged parts with corresponding original spare parts.
− Only use the hot air brush with the enclosed accessories.
− Let the hot air brush cool off completely after each use.
First use
Checking the hot air brush and package contents
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a
sharp knife or other pointed objects, you may quickly damage
the hot air brush.
− Be very careful when opening it.
1. Take the hot air brush out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see Fig.A).
3. Check whether the hot air brush or the individual parts exhibit damages.
If this is the case, do not use the hot air brush. Contact the manufacturer at
the service address specified on the warranty card.

Basic cleaning
− Remove the packaging material and all protective foils.
− Before first use, wipe the hot air brush off with a soft, damp cloth to remove
any packaging and production residue.

CAUTION!
Burn hazard!
There is a burn hazard if you use the hot air brush without
the brush adapter, for drying non-human, synthetic hair or
clothing being worn on the body. There is a burn hazard if you
change the brush adapter while the hot air brush is switched
on or hot.
− Do not use the hot air brush without a brush adapter.
− Do not use the hot air brush to dry synthetic hair.
− Do not use the hot air brush to dry clothing.
− Always keep sufficient distance to body parts during use.
− Always switch the hot air brush off and pull the power
plug before you change the brush adapter.
− Make sure that the brush adapter is no longer hot before
removing it.
Changing the brush adapter
Adjust the size of the brush adapter used to the length of your hair.
Use the volume brush for long hair and the round brush for shorter
hair.
This hot air brush includes two different brush adapters which you can change:
The round brush adapter 5and the volume brush adapter 6.
Proceed as follows to change the brush adapter:
1. Make sure that the power plug has been pulled.
2. Make sure that the function switch 2is set to the 0position (see Fig.D).
3. Turn the locking ring 4to the right and take the brush adapter 5or 6
off (see Fig.A and B).

4. Attach the desired brush adapter to the hand piece 7(see Fig.A and B).
5. Turn the locking ring to the left.
The brush adapter will audibly lock into place (see Fig.C).
You can now use the hot air brush.
Selecting a heat setting
The following table provides an overview of the possible heat settings.

Styling your hair
1. Make sure that the function switch 2is set to the 0position (see Fig.D).
2. Only connect the hot air brush to a properly installed socket.
3. Turn the function switch to the desired heat setting (see table in the chapter
section “Selecting a heat setting”).
4. Separate a strand of hair from the rest of your hair.
5. Place the hair tips on the brush adapter 5or 6(see Fig.A).
6. Push the “direction of rotation” switch 3in the desired direction to wind
your strand of hair onto the brush adapter (see Fig.C).
7. Depending on the desired intensity, hold the wound up strand of hair on
the brush adapter for a brief moment.
8. If necessary, use the cold air function to fix your hair. To do so, turn the
function switch to position C.
9. To unwind the strand of hair again, push the “direction of rotation” switch
in the opposite direction as you would when winding the strand of hair.
10. Repeat the process for all strands of hair.
11. To switch off the hot air brush, turn the function switch to the 0position.
12. If you no longer wish to use the hot air brush, pull the power plug out of
the socket.
13. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.
14. Clean the hot air brush as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Automatic overheat protection

Observing styling tips
Observe the following notes for successful styling:
− For maximum volume, first let the brush head rotate at the hairline for a few
seconds.
− Use the large volume brush adapter 6if you want plenty of volume
(see Fig.A).
− Use the small round brush adapter 5to curl your hair.
− To curl your hair, wind your hair around the brush adapter several times.
− Use the cold air function to fix the curls before you unwind them from the
brush adapter.
− To create waves to the inside or outside, only wide the ends of your hair
around the brush adapter.
Automatic overheat protection
The hot air brush is equipped with a built-in overheat protection. If the hot air
brush automatically switches off and cannot be switched back on again, the
overheat protection may be activated. Proceed as follows:
1. Set the function switch 2to the 0position (see Fig.D).
2. Pull the power plug out of the socket.
3. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.
4. Clean the air intake and air outlet 1as described in the chapter “Cleaning”
(see Fig.A).
Cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
If objects are inserted in the hot air brush through the air intake
and air outlet, the hot air brush could be damaged and there is
a risk of electric shock.
− Do not insert any objects in the hot air brush through the
air intake and air outlet.
− Clean the air intake and air outlet regularly.
− Remove hair from the brush adapter after every use.

NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit!
Liquids that have penetrated the housing may cause a short
circuit.
− Never immerse the hot air brush in liquids.
− Make sure that no liquids penetrate the housing.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the hot air brush may damage it.
− Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as
knives and the like. They could damage the surfaces.
− Do not in any case place the hot air brush in the
dishwasher. It would be destroyed as a result.
1. Before cleaning, pull the power plug out of the socket.
2. Set the function switch 2to the 0position (see Fig.D).
3. Let the hot air brush cool off completely.
4. Remove the brush adapter 5or 6as described in the chapter section
“Changing the brush adapter” (see Fig.A).
5. Remove all hair from the brush adapter.
6. Clean the air intake and air outlet 1. You can e.g. use a vacuum cleaner for
this.
7. Wipe the hot air brush off with a dry or damp cloth and, if necessary, a small
amount of dishwashing detergent.
8. Then let all parts dry completely.
Storage
− Make sure that all parts of the hot air brush are dry before storage.
− Always store the hot air brush in a dry place that is protected from direct
sunlight and heat and is not accessible to children.
