Vitesse® 󰾽Nouveau󰾾 home range offers you an exclusive, high quality range of appliances for your ultimate home luxury and healthy living.987612345P/1P/2www.vitesse.ruIMPORTANT SAFEGUARDSWhen using your kettle, basic safety preca uti ons should always be followed: 1.Read all the instructions carefully when any appliance is used and keep them in a safe place. 2.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.3.Before connecting th e kettle, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance (below the kettle and base unit) corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. 4.Switch off and unplug from the outlet before filling, e mptyin g or cleaning, or when not in use.. 5.Do not op erate or place any part of this appliance on of near any hot surfaces (such as gas or electric burner or in a heated oven).6.Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces.7.Avoid touching hot Kettle surf ace suse the handle and knobs.8.To avoid possible steam damage, turn the spout away from walls or cabinets when operating the Kettle.9.If op erated on wood furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.10.To avoid s calding, always ensure the lid is correctly positioned before ope rat ing .11.Scalding may occur if the lid is r emo ved whilst heating.12.Ext rem e caution must be used when moving the Kettle containin g hot water. Never lift t he Kettle by its lid. Always use the body handle.13.Do not switch your Kettle 󰾽on󰾾 if it is empty.14.To protect fro m electrical hazard, do not immer se this Kettle, pow er base or cor d set in any liquid.15.Us e the Kettle only with the suppl ied base unit. Do not use the base unit for other purposes.16.To protect against fire, do not operate i n the presence of explosi ve and/or flamm able fumes.17.A Kettle should not be left connected to a wall socket when the room temperature is likely to fall to outdoor winter temperatures. At sub zero temperatures the automatic control thermostat m ay reset to boil and energ ize the element.18.Do not use the Kettle for any purpose other than heating water. Ot her liquids of food will contaminate the interior.19.Th is product has not been design ed for any other uses o ther than those specified in this booklet.20.Do not remov e the lid while the water is boiling.21.En sure that the Kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.22.En sure that the kettle is always operated level surface.23.Th e kettle and base must not be operated with other kettle makes.24.Ne ver place the base on a hot surface or a metal tray.25.Al ways check that the lid is securely closed and do not switch on the kettle if it dose not conta in water.1.Plug the lead of the base into the mains.2.Fill the kettle with water and place it level on the base so that contact is established with the power connection.3.Switch on the kettle . The ke ttle cannot be switched on if it is not properly placed on th e base.4.Before generally u sing the kettle, fill it with water, bring to boil and then pour it away.5.Do not fill the kettle with more than 1.7L, but at least with 0.6L of water.6.The kettle is automatically switched off when the water boils. However, the kettle can also be turned on and off at any time with the ON/OFF switch.7.After an adequate cooling- off period the water can once again be broug ht to boil by turning ON the switch.8.The kettle can be lined off the base when the switch is in the OFF setting.1.Always disconne ct the plug from the Mains before cleaning the kettle and Base. Wipe the kettle and base with a moist cloth and a drop of washing-up Liquid. Never use a n agg ressive scouring or steel wool.2.De-scale the kettle regularly, possibly once a week, depending on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use. Scaling significantly diminishes the heating performance of the kettle.3.To de-scale fill half the kettle with wa ter and the other half with vinegar. Boil and then leave it to stand overnight. Next day pour away and fill the kettle with fres h water and boil again.
