Overview
SpringSource Hyperic HQ is the award-winning web application
performance monitoring software for the datacenter and the cloud.
Its unique ability to automatically discover, integrate and manage
software services, regardless of type or location, enables users to
create a unified view of the performance and health of their ap-
plications. SpringSource Hyperic HQ is the standard for web op-
erations teams of all sizes, with fast deployment, a fully extensible
framework and user interface, and support for both virtualized and
non-virtualized infrastructure at scale.

and ensures comprehensive management of business-critical services. The enterprise-only
features include:
• Complete deployment automation, including the ability to copy and reuse monitoring
congurations and global alert templates
• Enterprise alerting includes multi-conditional and recovery alerts, role-based
notications, group-based alerting, and escalations

Hyperic HQ provides web operations teams with a comprehensive view into the performance
and availability of their virtualized environments. With its unique ability to analyze
performance metrics–from physical hardware, virtualization software, to the operating
systems, software and services of the guest virtual machines–Hyperic HQ provides the only
complete performance picture of virtualized environments in the market today. Hyperic HQ’s
layered view of the infrastructure deployment is better than a hardware-centric monitoring
approach for diagnosing performance problems. Historical charting, event correlation
capabilities, and congurable graphs allow system administrators to quickly review, drilldown
and analyze performance data.
Managed Products
SpringSource Hyperic HQ manages a broad range of products including web servers,
application servers, databases, operating systems, virtualization servers, messaging servers,
and directory servers. Hyperic HQ uses the native management capabilities of the managed
products, and can be easily extended to cover more products through Plugin Development
Kit, usually with only a few lines of XML.
