How to change the mainboard battery of the
IR44CF-II
This document describes how to change the battery on the mainboard of the IR 44CF-II.
The article number of the lithium battery is: 7358050
Attention :
If you change the battery, all configurations (time, serial number, recording configuration, etc.) will
be deleted. For this reason you should save the configuration before changing the battery. This
document describes how you can reload default configuration after changing the battery.
Please note to completely power off the IR44CF-II before you start.
Procedure :
1. Unplug the power supply cable and remove all Input/output IR 44CF-II connectors
2. Open the top cover of the recorder to have access to the battery
3. Unplug the old battery, use your fingers. Do not use any screwdrivers or any other objects,
it may damage the mainboard!
4. Plug in the new battery. Please take care of correct direction. You must be able to read the
information on the battery when the IR 44CF-II front panel is in front of you. All wrong
manipulations could damage the device.
5. Please close the top cover of the IR 44CF-II, use a screwdriver.
6. Reconnect the power supply.
7. For the following configuration and setting please use the buttons: "EXIT, REC, STOP,
REW, FWD, PLAY" on the front panel.

8. First, please enter the last 5 digits of the serial number. These can be found on the type
label on the back of the device.
Use the buttons "REW" and "FWD" to choose the desired number and the button "PLAY" to
move to the next number on the right, and then validate the operation by pressing "PLAY".
9. Confirm the "MAC Adresse" pressing the button "PLAY".
The display shows:
Select SW Option: VoIP NO press "STOP"
UHER_REPORT_DIGITAL? NO press "STOP"
BASIC YES press "PLAY"
10. Press the buttons "REW" and "FWD" simultaneously for 3 seconds to start the configuration
menu.
11. Use the buttons "REW" and "FWD" to navigate the configuration menus and select the
desired menu by using the "PLAY" button.
12. Select "SYSTEM CONFIG." "Date and Time" "Set" and set the time using the button
"FWD" and confirm with button "PLAY". Press "STOP" to exit the menu.
13. Select "SYSTEM CONFIG." "Setup defaults" and confirm "YES" pressing the button
"PLAY". Press "STOP" to exit the menu.
14. Select "RECORD CONFIG" "Record mode" "Card Overwrite" and select "ON" by
pressing the button "FWD" and confirm with "PLAY".
15. Exit the configuration menu with button "STOP" and save the setup with "PLAY"
16. You can now reconnect all sources.
17. Check if the IR44CF-II is showing the correct time and date.
