Naturally there is a choice of options and accessories available for every Volvo, including some which
are conveniently grouped together in packs and available for the Volvo Ocean Race editions:

with RDS-TMC with Europe DVD maps and remote control.

•Premium Pack: (XC90 only) Heated, electric driver and passenger seats, Bi-Xenon

audio system with Dolby Pro-Logic II Digital Surround Sound,
4x70W+1x25W amplifier, 12 speakers, Mini Disc player,
Subwoofer and rear seat headset sockets x 4.
Volvo also offers special styling packs to customise the Volvo Ocean Race Editions including silver
cross bars for the roof rails, sunglasses holder, mudflaps, front and rear park assist are available, plus
the usual array of options to enhance standard specifications.
In addition, roof protector ribs are available for the XC70 and XC90. There is also an aluminium side
scuff plate exclusively available for the XC70 and aluminium running boards for the XC90.
Finally, to co-ordinate with these cars, there is a whole range of Volvo Ocean Race merchandising,
including backpacks, fleeces, umbrellas, T-shirts and shorts.
The Volvo Ocean Race
The round the world Volvo Ocean Race represents the ultimate sailing endurance event and crosses
four oceans, five continents and covers 33,000 miles.
The next Volvo Ocean Race starts on 12th November 2005 in Vigo, Spain and stops at Cape Town
(South Africa), Melbourne (Australia), Wellington (New Zealand), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil),
Baltimore/Annapolis (USA), New York (USA), Portsmouth (UK), Rotterdam (Holland), and Gothenburg
(Sweden). The expected finish date in Gothenburg is 17 June 2006.
Leg 7 of the Volvo Ocean Race departs from New York on 11th May 2006 and is due to arrive in
Portsmouth from 23rd May. Over the UK Bank Holiday weekend, there will be a range of activities
within the Portsmouth Race village, including exciting in-port racing.
