SAFETY INFORMATION:
1. Read the instruction in this manual. Save this manual.
2. Use the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Clean only with a dry cloth.
4. Do not use the product near any kind of heat source.
5. Disconnect the product from the power mains if there is a risk of lightning or
when it is not being used.
6. Do not expose the product to moisture. This may entail a risk of fire or electric
shocks.
7. If the product becomes damaged, refer all repairs to qualified personnel.
N.B.! DO NOT CONNECT THE AUDIO OUTLET FROM A HIGHPOWER
AMPLIFIER TO THE PRODUCT’S AUDIO INLET.
USE
With the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni, you can record high-quality video from a
series of video sources. For example, Video8, Hi8, SVHS, VHS and DVD. You can also
take still pictures (snapshots) while you record video.
The recording is saved in AVI format on the memory card. The file size is 13-15 Mb per
minute.
If you record a feature that is more than 1.5 hours long, these will be divided up.
The file name automatically becomes a serial number (0001, 0002 etc). They can then
be transferred to a computer and be renamed.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
The built-in battery can be charged in two ways:
A. Via the power mains
B. Via the computer’s USB port
Charge for at least three minutes before starting Vooni VideoGrabber 3.0.
N.B.! WHEN THE PRODUCT CONNECTS TO A PC, THE SCREEN
TURNS OFF AND THE VIDEO GRABBER . FROM VOONI CAN
THEN ONLY TRANSFER DATA FROM ITS SD CARD TO THE PC.

INSTALL THE MEMORY CARD
MicroSD memory cards are to be used. (Not included). For best results, use cards
with a speed class of 10.
In order to remove the memory card, gently press inward and then carefully remove
the card.

for the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni.

START THE VOONI VIDEOGRABBER 3.0
Make sure that the battery is charged and that the memory card is in place. Quickly
press the On/O Menu button for approximately one second. To turn o, press and
hold for approximately three seconds.
The VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni starts in recording mode and the following
information is shown on the display:
N.B.! IF NO MEMORY CARD IS INSTALLED THEN NO CARD
APPEARS ON THE DISPLAY.

SETTINGS IN RECORDING MODE
Press the On/O Menu briefly again to get back to the settings.
Press the OK button to get to the underlying
menu.
Using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons, rotate
between the various menu alternatives.
Save the selected alternative
by pressing OK.
Press the On/O Menu button
to leave the setting mode.

Save and return to the setting menu by
using the OK button.
Once all the settings are complete, return to the recording mode with the On/O Menu button. Selected settings are saved, even
if the device is turned o.

OTHER SETTINGS
Other settings in the recording menu are made in the same manner as the setting of
the time and date.
THE SETTINGS THAT CAN BE MADE ARE:
• Incoming video format (Size)
• VGA or QVGA
• Visible date and clock on the recorded film (Time Stamp) This time can be set
independently of the set time in the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni. If the recorded
video is, for example, from the summer of 1996, the date can be set here.
• Automatic shut-o (Auto o) can be be set to o, 15, 30 or 45 minutes. Automatic
shut-o does not work in recording mode.
• Language Several languages can be selected.
• Time and date (Date input) See the previous page.
• Sound (On or O)
• Program version of software (Version).

RECORD:
1. Connect Vooni VideoGrabber 3.0 to the
video source.
2. Turn on the video source.
3. Turn on VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni.
4. Press the REC button to begin recording.
The counter at the top right of the screen
turns red.
5. Press PLAY on the video source to begin playback of your video film. The film
is now shown in the screen on the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni. As the film is
recording, you can do the following:

Record the film without sound
Press the button. Press once more and the sound is recorded
again.
Take still pictures (snapshots)
Press the button. The still picture is automatically given a serial
number as a file name.
Record external sound
Connect the microphone to the MIC contact. The distance
between the microphone and the sound source approx. 10 cm.

SETTINGS IN DISPLAY MODE
Select the display mode by pressing the MODE
button.
VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni is now in display mode.
Press the On/O Menubutton briefly again in order to get to the settings.
Using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons, rotate

THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS CAN BE MADE IN
DISPLAY MODE:
1. Delete removed the current film or still picture.
2. Protect prevents the files from being deleted. You can select single films, all of
them or select from miniatures shown. The protected films are labelled with a
padlock.
3. Format formats the memory card and all files are erased. Included those that are
protected.
4. Slide show displays the still pictures in a slide show.
5. Volume adjusts the sound volume between 1 and 8.
6. Program version of software (Version).

DISPLAY
1. Turn on VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni.
2. Select the display mode using the MODE button.
VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni is now in display mode.
3. Select desired film with the buttons.
4. Press OK and the film plays.
5. For rapid playback, press and hold. Maximum
speed for rapid playback is 10x. Stop the rapid
playback by pressing the play/pause button.
When displaying still pictures, you can zoom in on
the picture in several steps by pressing OK- or the
VOL+ button.
If you press on the VOL- button, you can zoom out
and finally data about the image file is shown. (Zoom
In and Zoom out only work for still images).

SHOW RECORDINGS ON TV
You can connect VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni to a TV via AV cable (6) or HDMI cable
(7).
If you wish to connect to the HDMI inlet on your TV, used the included HDMI cable (7).
The screen on the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni now turns black and the film is shown
in the TV instead.

COPY TO COMPUTER
If you connect the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni to a computer, you can process
the recorded films and images there. The first time you connect the device to the
computer, the drive routine is automatically installed on to the computer. Video
Grabber 3.0 from Vooni then appears as a removable disc unit your computer, so you
can copy, rename or delete your films.
HOW TO COPY RECORDINGS TO YOUR COMPUTER:
1. Start the computer
2. Connect the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni to your computer using the USB cable
3. The VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni now appears as a removable disc unit on your
computer.
N.B.! DO NOT PLAYBACK VIDEOS WHEN THE VIDEOGRABBER .
IS CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER. THIS MAY DAMAGE BOTH THE
COMPUTER AND THE VIDEOGRABBER . FROM VOONI.

TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Before pressing the REC button, make sure that video source device (DV,
DVD player, VHS) is turned on and can supply audio and video signals to the
VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni.
2. Make sure that the A/V cables are correctly connected at both the source unit
and in the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni.
3. If the software on the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni seizes, the system can be rest
by pressing a needle or similar object into the little hole on the back of the unit.
4. Only use a memory card with a speed class of 10.
5. If the screen remains black in spite of having pressed the On/O Menu button for
some time, the battery may be dead. Connect the charger and try again.
6. If you do not succeed in recording video to the VideoGrabber 3.0 from Vooni, the
cable connections may be plugged in incorrectly or be loose.
