VC-6832 Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panel
Product Information
1. Overview
VC-6832 Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panel is developed based on the microprocessor technology. It has only
one detection zone, connected with one Smoke Detector and one Heat Detector. One Sounder output on Mainboard
is available for alarm control. Meanwhile, there are also one volt-free contact for common fault output, and two
volt-free contacts for re output. The panel will indicate the status of normal, fault and alarm, as well as short or
broken circuit. All the manual control could be done through ve keys of Self-test, Mute, Silence/resume, Reset and
Evacuate. As designed, using friendly of Installation and Operation is the major feature of VC-6832, which is ideal
option for the application of telecom station or data centre.

Product Information
Description of indicators and keys:
Fire—Red, it flashes when each detector reports fire alarm, and illuminates when both two detectors
report re alarms until the alarm is cleared.
Fire Output—Red. It ashes when re output 1 is activated, and illuminates when both re output 1 and
re output 2 are activated.
Fault Output—Red. It illuminates when fault output is activated.
Zone Fault—Yellow. It illuminates steadily when the loop of detection is short circuit or a detector is
removed.
CPU Fault: Yellow. It illuminates steadily when CPU is in fault.
Common Fault: Yellow, it illuminates when any fault occurs.
Power Supply: Green. It illuminates when power supply is normal.
Mute: Green. It illuminates when the control panel is in silence mode.
Sounder: Red. It illuminates when sounder output is activated, ashes when it’s in fault, and doesn’t light
in silence or in normal.
Keys Description
Reset: To reset
Self-Test: To self-test
Mute: To silence internal speaker
Silence/resume: silence or resume sounder
Control of Sounders
As in Fig.3.3, when “Evacuate” lock points to “I”, the Sounder Output, Fault-output,Fire-output1 and Fire-
output2 will be activated, and corresponding LEDs will illuminate.
As in Fig.3.4, when “Evacuate” lock points to “O”, all the Outputs and LED will be back to normal.

5. Operation
5.1 Basic Operation
5.1.1 Silence of Fault and Fire Alarm
Press Mute key, Mute LED turns on and the internal speaker is in silence mode.
Press Silence/resume key when activated, the sounder will be silenced. Press it again and the sounder is
resumed.
5.1.2 Self-test
In monitoring state, if press and hold Self-Test for 1 second, it will check the condition of sounder and all
LEDs.
5.1.3 Clearance of alarm state
Clearance of fault and re alarm, press and hold Reset for 1 second in alarm state, re alarm and all
outputs can be eliminated.
5.2 Wiring of Detectors, and Outputs
5.2.1 Considering electromagnetic compatibility, shielded cables should be used. Please keep
reliable contact of the shield layer with the chassis.
5.2.2 One of each Smoke and Heat Detector should be connected with Zone Output.
5.2.3 In the loop, the detectors can be connected at any position and a diode is connected to the
base of the detector.
5.2.4 Wiring of Output Loop: The sounders and remote devices should be polarity-sensitive and
connected into the loop according to the marked polarity. A 4.7kΩ resistor should be paralleled at
end of the loop.
