2.1 Allgemeine Sicherheit
!WARNUNG!
Schließen Sie das Gerät nur mit dem Anschlusskabel an das
Wechselstromnetz an.
Ziehen Sie den Stecker nie am Anschlusskabel aus der Steck-
dose.
Wenn das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist, dürfen
Sie es nicht in Betrieb nehmen.
Reparaturen an diesem Gerät dürfen nur von Fachkräften
durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen kön-
nen erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.
Wenden Sie sich im Reparaturfall an den Kundendienst.
Personen, die aufgrund ihrer physischen, sensorischen oder
geistigen Fähigkeiten oder ihrer Unerfahrenheit oder Unkennt-
nis nicht in der Lage sind, das Gerät sicher zu benutzen, sollten
dieses Gerät nicht ohne Aufsicht oder Anweisung durch eine
verantwortliche Person nutzen.

Benutzen Sie das Gerät außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern.

Ziehen Sie das Anschlusskabel
– vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
– nach jedem Gebrauch
Vergleichen Sie die Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild
mit der vorhandenen Energieversorgung.
2.2 Sicherheit beim Betrieb des Gerätes
!WARNUNG!
Der Sprühnebel des Klimaanlagen-Reinigers darf nicht einge-
atmet werden.
Während des Sprühvorganges müssen Sie das Fahrzeug ver-
lassen.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser.
Achten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und
Stecker trocken sind.
AACHTUNG!
Setzen Sie das Gerät niemals Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus.
Schützen Sie das Gerät und das Netzteil vor Hitze und Nässe.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nie ohne Flüssigkeit.
Verwenden Sie nur von Dometic WAECO zugelassene Reini-
ger (AirCon Refresh, Art. Nr.: 8887400008;
Car Refresh, Art. Nr.: 8887400009).
Kunststoffteile nicht mit Lösungsmitteln oder aggressiven Sub-
stanzen reinigen.

6 Beschreibung
6.1 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Refresh-o-mat ist ein Ultraschallvernebler zur Reinigung von Fahrzeug-
Klimaanlagen oder zur Beseitigung von Gerüchen in Fahrzeuginnenräumen.
Das Gerät erzeugt einen feinen Wirkstoff-Nebel, der über die Klimaanlage
verteilt wird und Verunreinigungen und Gerüche entfernt.
Einmal jährlich angewendet, erhalten Sie eine geruchsfreie und hygienische
Klimaanlage.
6.2 Funktionsbeschreibung
Drei Ultraschallzellen zerstäuben den Klimaanlagen-Reiniger zu einem fei-
nen Nebel. Der Nebel wird mit Hilfe eines Ventilators durch den Schlauch zu
den Ansaugöffnungen der Klimaanlage geleitet.
Der Refresh-o-mat schaltet sich automatisch ab, wenn das Flüssigkeits-
niveau ein Minimum erreicht oder eine Temperatur von 35 °C überschritten
wird.
7 Bedienung
7.1 Reinigung der Klimaanlage
IHINWEIS
Nur den Klimaanlagen-Reiniger AirCon Refresh aus dem Hause
Dometic WAECO verwenden.
Die beste Wirkung erreicht der Refresh-o-mat bei Temperaturen
zwischen 0–35°C.
Refresh-o-mat vorbereiten
AACHTUNG!
Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise auf der Verpackung des
Klimaanlagen-Reinigers.
➤Klimaanlagen-Reiniger gut schütteln (Abb. 2, Seite 3).

➤Deckel öffnen und den Reiniger bis zur maximalen Füllstandsanzeige in
den Refresh-o-mat füllen.
IHINWEIS
Überfüllen Sie das Gerät nicht!
➤Deckel wieder schließen.
➤Schlauch vollständig aufstecken.
Refresh-o-mat aufstellen
➤Refresh-o-mat aufrecht und mit festem Stand in den Fußraum der Bei-
fahrerseite stellen (Abb. 3, Seite 3).
➤Schlauch in die Nähe der Ansaugöffnung der Umluft bringen.
Klimaanlage einstellen
IHINWEIS
Sie müssen den Pollenfilter nicht ausbauen.
➤Klimaanlage einstellen:
– Temperaturregler auf niedrigste Stufe (Abb. 41, Seite 3).
– Gebläse auf niedrigste Stufe (Abb. 42, Seite 3).
– Vordere Belüftung einstellen (Abb. 43, Seite 3) und alle Luft-
ausströmer am Armaturenbrett öffnen.
– Auf Umluft stellen (Abb. 44, Seite 3).
➤Manuelle Klimaanlagen: Klimaanlage ausschalten (Abb. 45, Seite 3).
➤Automatische Klimaanlagen: „Economy“ (Abb. 46, Seite 3) und
niedrigste Temperatur einstellen.

Reinigungsvorgang starten
➤Refresh-o-mat an das Stromnetz anschließen (Abb. 51, Seite 3).
➤Fahrzeug verlassen und die Türen schließen.
AACHTUNG!
Beschädigen Sie das Stromkabel nicht. Atmen Sie den Nebel nicht
ein.
➤Umluft/automatische Klimaanlage ca. 20 Minuten laufen lassen.
IHINWEIS
Der Refresh-o-mat stoppt automatisch, wenn das Flüssigkeits-
niveau ein Minimum erreicht hat.
Reinigungsvorgang beenden
➤Netzverbindung trennen (Abb. 52, Seite 3).
Fahrzeug lüften
➤Alle Türen des Fahrzeugs öffnen und das Umluftgebläse und die Klima-
anlage ausschalten.
➤Fahrzeuginnenraum für ca. 30 Minuten lüften.
➤Gebläse nach dem Reinigungsvorgang zum Trocknen des Verdampfers
für mehr als 10 Minuten eingeschaltet lassen.
7.2 Reinigung des Innenraums
IHINWEIS
Nur den Innenraum-Reiniger Car Refresh aus dem Hause Dometic
WAECO verwenden.
Verwenden Sie den Refresh-o-mat zur Reinigung des Innenraums wie im
Kapitel „Reinigung der Klimaanlage“ beschrieben.
➤Refresh-o-mat ohne Schlauch aufstellen, zum Innenraum ausrichten.
➤Refresh-o-mat an das Stromnetz anschließen. Fahrzeug verlassen und
die Türen schließen.

AACHTUNG!
Beschädigen Sie das Stromkabel nicht. Atmen Sie den Nebel nicht

✓Der Refresh-o-mat stoppt automatisch nach ca. 20 Minuten, wenn das
Flüssigkeitsniveau ein Minimum erreicht hat.
➤Netzverbindung trennen.
➤Alle Türen des Fahrzeugs öffnen und den Fahrzeuginnenraum für ca.
30 Minuten lüften.
8 Reinigung und Pflege
➤Netzverbindung trennen (Abb. 6, Seite 3).
➤Schlauch entfernen.
➤Restflüssigkeit entleeren.
➤Mit Wasser ausspülen.
9 Störungsbeseitigung
Keine Nebelbildung
Zu wenig Flüssigkeit im Refresh-o-mat.
Die Ultraschallzelle ist defekt .
Der Ventilator ist defekt.
Störung an der Verbindung mit dem Transformator.
Flüssigkeit läuft aus dem Gerät
Zu viel Klimaanlagen-Reiniger im Gerät.
Der Behälter läuft über, weil das Gerät zu schief steht.

10 Gewährleistung
Es gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistungsfrist. Sollte das Produkt defekt sein,
wenden Sie sich bitte an die Niederlassung des Herstellers in Ihrem Land
(Adressen siehe Rückseite der Anleitung) oder an Ihren Fachhändler.
Zur Reparatur- bzw. Gewährleistungsbearbeitung müssen Sie folgende
Unterlagen mitschicken:
eine Kopie der Rechnung mit Kaufdatum,
einen Reklamationsgrund oder eine Fehlerbeschreibung.
11 Entsorgung
➤Geben Sie das Verpackungsmaterial möglichst in den entsprechenden
Recycling-Müll.
MWenn Sie das Produkt endgültig außer Betrieb nehmen, infor-
mieren Sie sich bitte beim nächsten Recyclingcenter oder bei
Ihrem Fachhändler über die zutreffenden Entsorgungsvorschriften.

2 Safety instructions

2.1 General safety

Use only the connection cable to connect the device to the AC
mains.
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
Do not operate the Refresh-o-mat if the device or the cable are
damaged.
This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel. Inade-
quate repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
Should your device need to be repaired, please contact Dometic
WAECO customer services.
Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental
capacities or whose lack of experience or knowledge prevent
them from using this product safely should not operate it without
the supervision or instruction of a responsible person.

2.2 Operating the device safely
!WARNING!
Do not breathe in the spray of the air-conditioning cleaner.

Never immerse the device in water.
Before starting the device, ensure that the power supply line
and the plug are dry.
ANOTICE!
Never expose the device to rain or moisture.
Protect the device and the power cable against heat and mois-
ture.
Never operate the the device without liquid.
Only use cleaning agents approved by Dometic WAECO

6 Description
6.1 Intended use
The Refresh-o-mat is an ultrasonic spraying device for cleaning vehicle
air-conditioning systems or for eradicating odours in the vehicle interior. The
device produces a fine spray of active agent which is distributed by the air-
conditioning system and thereby removes impurities and odours.
Used once a year, your air-conditioning system will be cleaned hygienically
and be free of odours.

6.2 Functional description
The ultrasonic cells diffuse the air-conditioning cleaning agent into a fine
spray.
The spray is directed through the hose by a fan to the suction openings of the
air-conditioning system.
The Refresh-o-mat switches off automatically with the fluid reaches a mini-
mum level or a temperature of over 35 °C is exceeded.
7 Operation
7.1 Cleaning the air-conditioning unit
INOTE
Only use Dometic WAECO's own AirCon Refresh cleaning agent.
The best results are attained by the Refresh-o-mat at temperatures
between 0–35 °C.
Preparing the Refresh-o-mat
ANOTICE!
Observe the safety instructions on the packaging of the air-condi-
tioning cleaning agent.
➤Shake the air-conditioning cleaning agent thoroughly (fig. 2, page 3).
➤Open the lid and pour fill the Refresh-o-mat with cleaning agent up to the
maximum filling level indicator.
INOTE
Do not over-fill the device.
➤Close the door.
➤Plug in the hose completely.

Setting up the Refresh-o-mat
➤Stand the Refresh-o-mat upright and securely in the foot area of the
passenger's seat (fig. 3, page 3).
➤Place the hose in the vicinity of the suction opening of the ventilation sys-
tem.
Setting the air-conditioning system
INOTE
You should not remove the pollen filter.
➤Set the air-conditioning system:
– Set the temperature control to the lowest level (fig. 41, page 3).
– Set the blower to the lowest level (fig. 4.2, page 3).
– Set the front ventilation (fig. 43, page 3) and open all air outlets on
the dashboard.
– Set to ventilation (fig. 44, page 3).
➤Manual air-conditioning systems: Switch off the air-conditioning system
(fig. 51, page 3).
➤Automatic air-conditioning systems: Set to “Economy” (fig. 46, page 3)
and the lowest temperature setting.
Starting the cleaning procedure
➤Connect the Refresh-o-mat (fig. 51, page 3) to the power supply.
➤Get out of the vehicle and close the doors.
ANOTICE!
Do not damage the power cable.
Do not inhale the spray.
➤Allow the air-circulation/automatic air-conditioning system to run for about
20 minutes.

Ending the cleaning procedure
➤Disconnect from the mains (fig. 52, page 3).
Ventilating the vehicle
➤Open all vehicle doors and switch off the air-circulation blower and
the air-conditioning.
➤Allow the interior of the vehicle to ventilate for approx. 30 minutes.
➤After the cleaning procedure, leave the blower running for more than
10 minutes to dry the vaporiser.
7.2 Cleaning the interior
INOTE
Only use Dometic WAECO's own Car Refresh cleaning agent.
Use the Refresh-o-mat to clean the interior of your vehicle as described in the
“Cleaning the air-conditioning system” chapter.
➤Set up the Refresh-o-mat without a hose pointing into the interior of the
vehicle.
➤Connect the Refresh-o-mat to the power supply. Get out of the vehicle
and close the doors.
ANOTICE!
Do not damage the power cable. Do not inhale the spray.
✓The Refresh-o-mat stops automatically after approx. 20 minutes when the
liquid reaches a minimum level.
➤Disconnect from the mains.
➤Open all vehicle doors and allow the vehicle interior to air for approx. 30
minutes.

8 Cleaning and maintenance
➤Disconnect from the mains (fig. 6, page 3).
➤Remove the hose.
➤Empty any remaining fluid.
➤Rinse out with water.
9 Troubleshooting
No spray formation
Too little liquid in the Refresh-o-mat.
The ultrasonic cell is defective.
The fan is defective.
Fault in the connection to the transformer.
Liquid leaks out of the device
too much air-conditioning cleaning agent in the device.
The container is overflowing because the device is standing on a severe
slope.
The sealing in the device is defective.
10 Guarantee
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please
contact the manufacturer's branch in your country (see the back of the
instruction manual for the addresses) or your retailer.
For repair and guarantee processing, please include the following docu-
ments when you send in the device:
A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
A reason for the claim or description of the fault
