Vehicle-Dock WAP Rev. 2.4(Type: 4600-0225)
Information on the different Vehicle-Dock WAP variants
The correct function of the Vehicle-Dock WAP is only warranted if you take the right
WORKABOUT PRO model as shown in this overview:

Certificate
Vehicle-Dock WAP (here, also called as “Vehicle Cradle”) has type-approval of a type of
component with regard to Directive 72/245/EEC, as last amended by Directive 2006/28/EC.

Safety information on the installation in a vehicle
Caution! Do not mount the vehicle cradle in the area of activity of the
airbags.
Caution! When installing the cradle, ensure that it does not represent a risk
in the event of an accident.
Caution! If you have connected the vehicle cradleto the power supply using
a cigarette lighter, remove the connector before you leave the vehicle
standing for a long period of time.
As the vehicle cradle requires a constant power supply, it could run down
the vehicle's battery.
Note
Only the manufacturer or authorized partners are allowed to rebuild the
vehicle cradle for other WORKABOUT PRO models.

Mounting in vehicle
To mount the Vehicle Cradle you can take a RAM -
Mount. To connect between RAM-Mount and the
Vehicle Cradle take the delivered self-locking nuts.
RAM Mount
Wiring Vehicle Power to Vehicle Cradle
Voltage range: 12 - 24 Volt
Variant 1: Cable with open end
Wire assignment:
Blue: minus
Brown: plus
Variant 2: A power cable (AMP - circular plastic connector - 2-pin) extends from your Vehicle
Cradle power (Psion Teklogix P/N 13985-002)
Pin assignment:
Pin 1: plus
Pin 2: minus
Please note that the power supply cable has to be fused with 2 Ampere!
Special functions
Power supply through the RS232-port
5 V (max. 100 mA) are permanently available on the RS232-port PIN-9 at the top end of
the Vehicle Cradle when it is connected to the vehicle power supply (12V to 24V).

Each side bracket is fixed with 3 screws (see the following figure).

Part 3 - LIF-connector:

The side brackets, pressure pin holders and LIF-connector must be arranged for the various
WORKABOUT PRO models according to the table.
The right positions and variants of the components are listed in the following table:
