The main function of the WayteQ GPS device is the
navigation, but additionally it provides a number of other

while driving, walking or when cycling. The navigation and

To exploit the full potential of the device, please read
these instructions carefully.!
WARNING!
Before using the product, please make sure that
you follow the guidelines described below:
1. Fully charge the battery
2. Mount the device on the motorcycle using the included
handlebar mounting and DC 12V fixed charging cable.
Make sure that the connection is free of water and short
circuits. It is recommended to use a specialist workshop
for fitting to a motorcycle!
3. When used in a car, place the device in the car using
the included car kit.
4. Start the navigation application as it is described in the
user manual.
5. Make sure that the device has direct line of sight to the

clear sky without obstructions. An ideal placement can be
at the lower part of the windscreen, make sure not to
interfere with the view!
6. At first power-on – if the device was not turned on for a
long time, or the battery is low, or you switched on the
device farther compared to the last measured position –
it may take the device 10-15 minutes to receive correct
GPS position. The device must „see” a minimum of 4
satellites for accurate positioning. After the first use, the
device may get correct position in a shorter time frame.

Safety instructions
Global Positioning System
The GPS (Global Positioning System – GPS) is a
satellite-based system, which can be used nearly
anywhere in the world. It can provide GPS position at any
time to the device.
The most widely used GPS satellite system belongs to the
government of the USA, who controls the accuracy and
accessibility of the system.
Changes in the availability and accuracy of the system
could affect the operation of the device, therefore we
cannot take any responsibility for them.

Safety instructions and remarks
•Power off the device, if it will not be used for a long
time.
•For your own safety, while driving, do not change
the device or the navigation software settings! Stop
the car, if you want to change the settings!
•This device only assists in navigation, it is not
suitable for geographical positioning or precise
direction and distance measurement.
•The calculated route is only a recommendation.
The user is responsible for the signs, signals and
compliance with current traffic regulations.
•If you leave the car, please, do not leave the device
on the dashboard, or in the glove-compartment, or
on the windscreen, where it could be exposed to
direct sunlight. Overheating of the battery can
cause device failure or accident!
•WayteQ reserves the right to change the user

•Please, make a backup of your important data.

•Although the instruction manual was made with the

any malfunctions or failures. In case of any
inappropriate use, WayteQ is not responsible if you
do not comply with the instructions.
•The content of the digital maps cannot be always
up-to-date, because of the changing real-life
conditions. Please, always follow the applicable
road traffic regulations!

The signals of the GPS satellites cannot penetrate solid
objects (except glass). The positioning does not work
inside buildings and tunnels. Receiving of GPS signals
may interfered by different environmental factors (bad
weather, tall buildings, devices using wireless technology).
Devices with wireless technology may interfere with the
reception of satellite signals, making them inaccurate.
Aircrafts and hospitals
On most airplanes, in hospitals and other institutions, it is
prohibited to use devices with antenna. It is not allowed
to use such devices in these places.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures or direct
sunlight for long periods of time and do not leave it in the
car. High temperatures can cause permanent damage to
the device. The proper functioning of the device can be
guaranteed between 5°C and 40 °C temperature.
Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Do not

attempt to open, puncture or disassemble it. Do not
attempt to modify the device software. Do not use illegal
or incompatible software with the device. It will void your
warranty, if the problem is caused by not complying with
the provisions above.
There is a security label placed on the device. Removal
or damage of the label may cause warranty withdrawal.

2. Charging with AC charger
Warning: The LED lights up red while charging. Do not
disconnect the device from the charger until charging is
complete and the LED turns blue. Charge the device
when the battery is low. Warming up during charging is a
normal physical phenomenon. The AC charger is not
included in the basic package, it can be purchased
separately.
When switched on, charging is indicated by the icon in the
upper right corner.
3. Connecting the car charger
During use, uninterruptible power supply can be provided
with the included car charger. In the case of motorcycle
mounting, the charge must be permanently connected to
the electrical system of the motorcycle with the supplied
cable. For car use, the charger in the detachable
connector must be replaced by the cigarette lighter.
Attention: To avoid sudden voltage fluctuations, connect
the charger to the charging socket only after the ignition

has been switched on.
4. Battery
The device is safe to operate between 5 and 40 °C and
store between -10 and 50 °C. Do not expose the device
to direct high temperatures or prolonged warm
environments, e.g. do not leave in a car exposed to strong
sunlight. To avoid damage to your device, keep it out of
direct sunlight as much as possible.
Observe local regulations when the battery is completely
discharged.

5. Installation Instruction
1) Fix the mount to the motorcycle, put the screw, wring
the screen nut, adjust the angle of the mount
2) Insert the mount to the cradle

3) Wring the nut, make sure the cradle is assemble to the
mount, adjust the cradle to right angle.
4) Install the device to the cradle, wring the screw behind
the mount to fasten the device

6. Using a memory card
Insert the memory card into the slot with the contacts
facing the back. Push it in until it clicks. To remove the
card, push the memory card slightly in until you hear a
click. The card is ejected, it can be pulled out.
7. Restart
If the device does not respond to the instructions, press
the RESET button to restart the device. Restarting may
result in the loss of unsaved data!

8. Water resistance
The device is protected against water (drip-proof) in
accordance with the IPX7 standard by the manufacturer,
which means that the device can withstand immersion in
water <1 m for up to 30 minutes. Water protection does
not mean that the device can be used underwater, so we
do not recommend immersion! The housing of the device
will only withstand soaking if all the rubber covers are
properly in place. Damage caused by improper sealing of
the connectors due to carelessness is not covered by the
warranty.
