3 Symbols and warning instructions
3.1 Symbols at the transport rack for kitchen tops
The following symbols can occur on the machine:
This symbol points out the availability of the operating instructions and warns the operator to read these
instructions before the installation or the commissioning of the machine.
Warning of hovering loads. This symbol attached to the machine warns the operator not to step under hovering
loads.
This symbol attached to the machine warns the operator that the hooked load has to be hooked equally. Other
loads my not be transported.
This symbol attached to the machine makes the user notice that there is an eye to lift the transport rack for
kitchen tops.
This warning sign binds the user of the machine to wear and to use safety shoes, safety gloves and a safety cap.

3.2 Symbols in the instruction manual
The following symbols can occur in the instruction manual:
This exclamation mark, framed in an equilateral triangle, draws attention to a very important information and
recommends the operator to read and follow it with particular attention. The user has to pay particular attention to
this note.
Obligation to recycle waste materials into the production process to help safeguard the natural resources and
save the environment.
Marking of switches, articles, etc. in the pictures of this operating manual. The first number begins with the letter
A, for the marking (e.g. article D) and the second number is the current numbering of the picture (e.g. picture 6.2)
within a section e.g. 6.1 Inspection. The marking always refers to the accompanying or following description;
otherwise the description refers to a marking in another picture.
4 Regulations for the use of the transport rack for kitchen tops
Pay close attention to the regulations for the use of the Transport rack for kitchen tops.

The following chapters explain the possible applications and the dangers during the use.
4.1 Field of application of the transport rack for kitchen tops
You’ve bought a quality product of WEHA-Ludwig Werwein GmbH.
The transport rack for kitchen tops is a tool enabling you to store and transport stone slabs and make work easier for you.
Please note the following characteristics:
•Safely and simply transporting and storing of kitchen tops
•Galvanized surface
•Robust construction
4.2 Inappropriate use
The transport rack for kitchen tops can only be used to stationary transport and to store stone slabs such as kitchen tops up to a
maximum weight of 1,500 kilos.
Only use the rack for kitchen tops exclusively for the appropriate uses and dispense with means which might damage the metal or
single assembly groups!
•The transport rack for kitchen tops is designed especially and completely for the application fields.
•The kitchen tops have to be put into the transport rack for kitchen tops parallel to the fixed support. Putting kitchen tops skew into
the transport rack, e.g. the kitchen tops do not touch the fixed support is not appropriate!
•The kitchen tops may not overhand the transport rack for kitchen tops.
•The kitchen tops have to be moved carefully when using the transport rack for kitchen tops.
•The kitchen tops may have a maximum size of 116cms (height) x 200cms (width)!
4.3 Safety regulations
•Read this instruction manual carefully before actually using the transport rack for kitchen tops!
•Keep the instruction manual close to your transport rack for kitchen tops for a future reference when in doubt!
•Unconventional changes or installing of additional devices will lead to the cancellation of any liability by the dealer or
manufacturer!
•Remove all articles from the work area, which can be a possible source of danger!

•Before each use check the basic parts and welding seams for damages! In case of defects don’t use the transport rack for

•The maximum loading is 1,500 kilos, so it is 750 kilos for each side!

5°!

•The kitchen tops have to be parallel to the support. Putting the kitchen tops in the transport rack for kitchen tops beveled
is not appropriate!
•When transporting kitchen tops on a truck using the transport rack for kitchen tops the kitchen tops have to be fixed
additionally that they won’t topple over using straps according to the regulations for the prevention of accidents!
•The truck and the road have to provide a suitable lifting capacity!
•The way on which the transport rack for kitchen tops is transported or pulled has to be even and horizontal!
•Within the transport rack for kitchen tops the kitchen tops have to be moved carefully!
•Staying under hovering loads is forbidden
•Keep your working area clean and take care of good illumination!
•When using the transport rack for kitchen tops always wear appropriate safety clothing according to the regulations for
the prevention of accidents, such as:
•Working gloves and clothing according to the regulations fort he prevention of accidents!
•Safety shoes according to the regulations for the prevention of accidents!
•Use work pieces exclusively appropriate to the machine like stone slabs without any cracks!
•Take care that no one’s near the tool while you are working with it to exclude an endangerment of anyone else.
•Check whether all parts are assembled correctly!
•If there is damage to the tool or any other malfunction get immediately into contact with the trading or producing
company!
•Protect the machine against the weather, e.g. rain, sun, humidity and etc.!
•In case of irreparable damage or other reasons, which prevent the long-term use of the machine, stop its operation, by
making the machine unusable thus making sure that there’s no danger to other people!
•If disposing of the machine or parts thereof, dismantle and separate the different materials, which can then be disposed of
to be recycled!
4.4 Machine identification plate
The identification plate informs about the origin, identity as well as year of
construction and, if necessary, about the maximum carrying capacity.
By the supply please compare the identification plate with the data on the
first side of the operating instructions. If the data differ from each other,
please contact immediately the dealer or the manufacturer.

5 Assembly
Please read the information in this chapter very carefully and adhere most strictly to them. The producer or the WEHA-Ludwig Werwein
GmbH are not responsible for damages caused by not taking care of these instructions.
5.1 Scope of supply
Before assembling check whether the scope of supply is complete.
If that’s not the case get immediately into contact with the producer or the trader.
Included in the scope of supply are:
•1 x instruction manual
•1 x transport rack for kitchen tops including:
•1 x basic frame including six screwed hexagon nuts M12 including clamping device (plastic insert)
•1 x A-support
•8 x strapping staff including lashing strap
•1 x wheel including pole (optionally)
5.2 Instructions for the assembly
The transport rack for kitchen tops is delivered unassembled to you.
So you have to assemble it yourself.
To assemble the transport rack for kitchen tops you need a open-end wrench SW 19.

•Put the basic frame [A1] on an even and horizontal ground. Check
whether the lifting capacity of the surface is high enough.
•Put the A-support [B1] on the basic frame [A1] that the six boreholes
[C1] (bayonet catch) of the A-support are over the six threaded rods
[D1] of the basic frame.
•Now put the A-support completely on the basic frame and push it in the
direction that the edge of the A-support is flushed with [E1] the basic
frame.
•Now lock the hexagon nuts M12 using the open-end wrench SW 19.
•As there is a plastic insert in the hexagon nuts M12 they cannot
release themselves. But you may only use the hexagon
nut once.
The hexagon nuts M12 may only be used once to guarantee
that they won’t unlock themselves.
•Put the eight strapping elements close tot the device to tighten the
kitchen tops.

6 Operating instructions for the transport rack for kitchen tops
The aim of this chapter is to let you know the working means. Consider the operating instructions in every detail, in order to be able to
use the transport rack for kitchen tops in the best way!
Check that sharp edged articles do not damage the protective layer of the metal parts!
The dealer and/or manufacturer doesn’t liable for
any defects caused by incorrect assembly and use!
Pay close attention to the safety regulations in chapter 4.3.!
6.1 Stockpiling within the transport rack for kitchen tops
•Take care that the area you are placing the transport rack for kitchen tops to stockpile it provides a high enough lifting capacity.
•The maximum loading capacity of the transport rack for kitchen tops is 1,500 kilos, so you can put 750 kilos at each side.
•The stone slabs have to be maximally 116 cm high and 200 cm long! Take care that the stone slabs are put into the transport rack
for kitchen tops centered!
•Longer kitchen tops have to be put into the transport rack before shorter ones. You can strap the longer kitchen tops by as many
strapping staffs as possible.
•Now put the kitchen tops in to the transport rack that they are at least touching two support blocks completely. This is an inclination
of 5°.
•The kitchen tops have to be inserted parallel to the A-support. Putting the kitchen tops in the transport rack for kitchen tops beveled
is not appropriate!

One may only put in stone slabs which can be saved by
at least two straps!
•Depending on the length of the inserted kitchen tops,
you may use up to four straps depending on the length of the kitchen
tops.
•Put the straps [A2] into the perforated rail [B2] as
close as possible to the kitchen tops.
Attention! Danger! Put the straps as close to the kitchen
tops as possible and take care to put the kitchen tops
into the device in the right way!
•Now hook the strap in and strap it as you can see in the following
picture.

•Now put the hook [A3] of the strap into the eyelet [B3].
Attention! Danger of squeezing!
•Pull the strap at the other end [C3] so far that the
strap touches completely the kitchen top and that the rubber coating is
squeezed a little bit.
•To unleash the straps push the “PRESS” button at the locking device
[E3].The locking device is now unleashed and you can remove the
strap.
•Now you can put out the inputted kitchen tops.

6.2 Transporting the transport rack for kitchen tops
6.2.1 Transporting the transport rack for kitchen tops using a forklift truck
To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops you have to save the kitchen tops by suitable means
against toppling over and slipping!
•To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops there are locators at each side of the
device [A4; B4].
•Now the forks of the forklift truck have to be adjusted to the desired width.
•Now drive into the locators completely until the forks touch the basic frame.
•Now lift the transport rack for kitchen tops. Before doing this check whether the forks
of the forklift truck have a suitable lifting capacity.
Now transport the transport rack for kitchen tops to the desired place.
By doing this take care that the road you are using is even and
horizontal. Otherwise the transport rack for kitchen tops might slip of the
forks of the forklift truck.
•Attention! The road you are using to transport the transport rack for kitchen
tops and also the place where you want to place it have to be even and
horizontal because otherwise the transport rack for kitchen tops might slip off
the forks of the forklift truck!

6.2.2 Transporting the transport rack for kitchen tops by using a crane
To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops you have to save the kitchen tops by suitable means
against toppling over and slipping!
•To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops by using a crane there are eyelets [A5]
at the four corners of the basic frame.
•Now you have to hook in a tackle consisting of four belts. Check the belts concerning
their length and lifting capacity. You can also use a crane traverse having a suitable
lifting capacity.
•Now hook the crane traverse again at the four eyelets.
•Now lift the transport rack for kitchen tops carefully and transport it to the desired
place. Before putting it check whether to see the surface you want to place it on has a
suitable lifting capacity.

6.2.3 Transporting the transport rack for kitchen tops by using a truck
To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops you have to save the kitchen tops by suitable means
against toppling over and slipping!
•To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops by using a truck transport rack for kitchen tops has to be saved on the cable ladder
according to the rules fort he prevention of accidents.
•To save the transport rack for kitchen tops against slipping and toppling over you can use the eyelets and hooks [Picture 5.5; A5];
[Picture 5.3; A3].
•Now save the transport rack for kitchen tops on the cable ladder by using the six eyelets. Before doing this check the lifting capacity
of the used straps and of the truck.
6.2.4 Transporting the transport rack for kitchen tops using the pole (optionally)
To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops you have to save the kitchen tops by suitable means
against toppling over and slipping!
•To transport the transport rack for kitchen tops by using the pole [A6] the pole has to
be set up.
•To do this lift the pole as it can be seen in the picture and move the ball of the pole
[D6] from the front [B6] under the support [C6].
•Now put the pole into a square position that the ball of the [D6] pole slides into the
support [C6]. When doing this the feet [B6] are lifted from the bottom and the transport
rack for kitchen tops “Mobilo” can be moved.
Attention! The surface you want to move your transport rack for kitchen tops on has
to be even and horizontal because otherwise you might no longer be
able to hold the transport rack for kitchen tops or it might topple
over!
•Now pull the transport rack for kitchen tops to the desired place and park it again by
lifting the pole [A6].
•Lift the pole [A6] in the way that the ball can be pulled out completely. Now hook the
pole in as described as follows.

•To hook in the pole [A7] push the hook [B7] of the pole in direction of the grip of the
pole [C7]. To do this, unlock the clamp screw [B7] by turning it left and lock it again
after the adjustment.
•Turn the grip [C7] about 90 degrees as you can see in the picture and move the pole in
an upright position as far as possible under the transport rack for kitchen tops.
•Now move the hook [B7] of the tiller by unlocking the clamp screw as far down until it is
hooked at the brace of the A-support.
•Lift the pole [A7] a bit from the ground and lock the clamp screw [B7] then. When doing
this take care that the hook [B7] won’t unlock when lifting the pole.
•To unhook the pole unlock the clamp screw [B7] and push the hook to the grip. Lock
the clamp screw once again [B7] and move the pole out again.

7 Maintenance and inspection
The transport rack for kitchen tops needs no regular maintenance.
In the following chapter there is a list of the things the user of the transport rack for kitchen tops has to make by an
expert. The producer doesn’t show liable for damages caused by not paying attention to these instructions!
•Pay attention to the safety regulations in chapter 4.3!
•The company WEHA offers you a service to maintain your transport rack for kitchen tops.
Concerning ZH 1/428 this is a device which needs regular maintenance by an expert.
This inspection has to be done at least once a year.
•Check the transport rack for kitchen tops and all strapping staffs once a year for rusty spots especially all welding seams. Check
especially the four hooks for the crane.
•Remove the rust and protect this spot by putting on an anti corrosive agent such as spray of zinc.
•Check all strapping staffs for damages and grazes and replace them if necessary.
•Check the rubber surfaces for damages and replace them if necessary.
Repairs and
welding
(danger of intoxication) may only be done
by persons having the appropriate
knowledge and abilities!
