operation and maintenance. Proper maintenance and service are essential for safety and for efficient
operation of the machine. Do not use the machine if it is not in suitable operating condition. Read and
understand these instructions thoroughly before operating the machine for the first time or
maintaining machine. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or equipment damage. Contact
an authorized Weiler dealer if you do not understand the instructions in this manual or need
additional information.
This tethered manual must remain with the machine at all times. Store it in the manual storage box.
Replace manual immediately if lost, damaged, or unreadable. If you sell the machine, be sure this
manual is transferred to the new owner.
If a question arises concerning the equipment, contact an authorized Weiler dealer. Factory-trained
personnel and genuine replacement parts are available for all service requirements.
To maintain and help ensure trouble-free operation of this machine, the routine maintenance as
specified in this manual must be carried out at the recommended intervals.
The instructions, illustrations, an specifications in this manual are based on the latest information
available at time of publication. This machine may have product improvements and features not yet
contained in this manual. Dimensions and weights are approximate and the illustrations may not

vi Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Thoroughly read and understand these instructions and store the tethered manual in the manual
holder on the machine for future reference.
When purchasing a used Weiler machine you are requested to contact Weiler Customer Service at
641-828-6622 or at www.weilerproducts.com and request a customer login and password to gain
access to online manuals for this machine.
Additional copies of the manuals are available from an authorized Weiler dealer. When ordering a
new manual, use the part number on the front cover.
INTENDED USE
A E1650 Remixing Transfer Vehicle is used to transfer bulk asphalt material from delivery vehicles
to a paving machine. The machine receives paving material in the forward dump hopper, or picks
windrowed material up off of the roadway, delivers the material to the center hopper for storage and
remixing, and then conveys the material to the hopper of a paving machine.
Always use the machine in accordance with the instructions contained in this Operator’s and
Maintenance Manual, safety signs on the machine, and other material provided by Weiler. Usage in
any other way is considered contrary to the intended use.
Proper maintenance and repair are essential for safety and for efficient operation of the machine. Do
not use the machine if it is not in suitable operating condition.
This safety alert system identifies important safety messages in this
manual.
When you see this symbol, be alert, your safety is involved, carefully read
the message that follows, and inform other operators.

Safety Messages
SECTION 1: SAFETY
SAFETY MESSAGES
General safety messages appear in this Safety Messages section. Specific safety messages are located
in appropriate sections of the manual where a potential hazard can occur if the instructions or
procedures are not followed.
Personal Safety
A signal word “DANGER”, “WARNING”, or “CAUTION” is used with the safety alert symbol.
Safety signs with signal word “DANGER”, “WARNING”, or “CAUTION” are located near specific
hazards.
Machine or Property Damage
The signal word ˆNOTICE˜ is not used with a safety alert symbol and is followed by specific
instructions.
Decals with the signal word ˆNOTICE˜ are located near specific areas where machine or property
damage can occur.
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will result in
death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result
in minor or moderate injury.
This is the safety alert symbol. This symbol is used in combination with an
exclamation mark or other symbols to alert you to the potential for bodily
injury or death.
NOTICE indicates information considered important, but not hazard related.
It is used to inform about possible machine and/or property damage.
This symbol indicates that machine damage can occur if proper procedures
are not followed, or at least one part of the machine is not operating correctly.
Shutting down machine may not be necessary, but some maintenance may be
required.

Safety Messages
WARNING
Pressurized fluid can penetrate body tissue. Leaks can be invisible. Keep
away from any suspected leak. Relieve pressure in the hydraulic system
before searching for leaks, disconnecting hoses, or performing any other
work on the system. When searching for a pressurized leak, use an object
such as a piece of wood or cardboard. Keep hands away. When loosening a
fitting where residual pressure can exist, slowly loosen fitting until fluid
begins to leak. Wait for leaking to stop before disconnecting fitting. Tighten
all connections before re-pressurizing system. Seek immediate surgical
treatment if fluid is injected under skin.
WARNING
Contact with moving parts can cut or crush.
Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from power-driven parts. Keep all
shields and guards in place and properly secured.
CAUTION
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) can cause eye irritation and can be moderately
irritating to the skin. Spilling DEF onto hot components can cause the
release of ammonia vapors. Exposure to decomposition products can cause a
health hazard. Serious effects can be delayed following exposure.
DEF is not expected to produce significant adverse health effects when the
recommended instructions for use are followed:
• Do not breathe DEF vapor or mist.
• Do not eat, drink, or smoke when using DEF.
• Avoid DEF contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
• Use caution when dispensing DEF near a hot engine.
• Do not clean up any spills with bleach.
•Wash hands thoroughly after handling DEF.
CAUTION
Hot asphalt can cause injury from burns.
• Wear safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
In case of skin contact, get prompt medical attention.
WARNING
A rider can fall off and be crushed.
Never allow anyone to ride on the ladder or platform.

Safety Messages
WARNING
Exhaust gas temperature could exceed 1100°F (600°C) during regeneration.
High temperature can result in fire, burn, or explosion hazards.
To prevent fires, routinely clear any combustible material from engine and
engine exhaust system. Do not expose flammable material or explosive
atmospheres to exhaust gas or to exhaust system components during
regeneration.
WARNING
Engine exhaust can asphyxiate. If inhaled directly or continuously,
combustion fumes produced by engine can be hazardous.
If work has to be done in an enclosed environment, take all necessary
precautions to ensure the circulation of fresh air and protect the respiratory
system using a suitable mask.
WARNING
Breathing crystalline silica dust can cause lung disease. Cutting, drilling, or
working materials such as concrete, sand, or rock containing quartz can
result in exposure to silica dust.
Use dust control methods or appropriate respiratory protection when
exposed to silica dust conditions.
