beusedasagatewaytolegacyPBXsystemsinapplications.
WELLmPBX‐U110RhasperfectinteroperabilitywithmainstreamIPPhonebrandssuchasYealink,Snom,
Grandstream,Aastra,PolycomandCisco.AutoprovisioningofYealink,Snom,Cisco,AastraandPolycomIP
phoneswouldgreatlysavetimeonconfigurationswhenthereisbulkextensionstoregister.
Besides,customersfromdifferentcountrieswillallfeelcomfortablewhileusingWELLmPBX‐U110R.Because
theyareabletoselecttheirlocallanguageforWebGUIandVoicePrompt.Furthermore,itisrenownedforits
user‐friendlywebconfigurationpanelwhichiseasyaccessibleandself‐evidentmakingconfigurationa
trouble‐freejob.

theambienttemperatureisabove122℉(50℃).
Ventilation:pleasemakesurethatthedevicehasgoodventilationaround.
Anti‐jamming—theremaybesomesourcesofinterferencethatmightaffectthenormalrunningof
WELLmPBX‐U110R.It’shighlyrecommendedthatthedevice
Shouldbeplacedawayfromhigh‐powerradio,radartransmittersandhighfrequency,and
high‐currentdevices.
Isusingindependentpowerjunctionboxandeffectiveanti‐gridinterferencemeasureshavebeen
taken.

completetheinstallation.

WELLmPBX‐U110Rprovidestwo10/100MadaptiveRJ45Ethernetports,thatis,LANportandWANport.
WANPortConnection
ConnectoneendofanetworkcabletotheWANportofWELLmPBX‐U110R,andtheotherendto
theEthernetportofahub,switchorADSLmodem.
LANPortConnection
ConnectoneendofanetworkcabletotheLANportofWELLmPBX‐U110R,andtheotherendtoany
portofcompany’sLANswitch/router.
IftheLANportisconnectedtoPCdirectly(notviaaswitch),pleaseusecross‐overcable.

WhenconnectedtotheE1line,RX‐ofE1portshouldbeconnectedtoTX‐ofE1line;RX+ofE1port

4.2LoggingintheWebConfigurationPanel
Firstly,pleasecheckiftheIPaddressthatassignstothenetworkport(LANorWAN)isinthesamesegment
withthePCandwhichcanbeconnectedwhencommit‘Ping+mPBXIPaddress’command.Startthebrowser
onPC.Intheaddressbar,entertheIPaddress,click‘enter’buttonandthenyoucanseeWELLmPBX‐U110R
WebConfigurationPanelloginpage(SeeFigure4‐1).

4.3NetworkSettings
Afterloggingintheadminconfigurationinterface,generallythefirststepistoconfiguretheIPaddress.If
boththeWANandLANportsareconnectedtothenetwork,theirIPaddressesneedtobeconfigured.Ifnot,
justconfiguringtheIPaddressoftheLANportwhichisconnectedtothelocalareanetworkofthecompany
isOK.
WANSettings
Click“NetworkSettings”‐>”WANSettings”ontheleftmenubar.
1. IfthenetworkthattheWANportisconnectedtoisusingDHCPserverasconnectionmethod,please
selectthe“DHCP”(dynamicIP)option.
2. Ifthenetworkconnectionmethodis“StaticIPaddress”,pleaseselectthisoptionandentertheLAN
parameters(IPaddress,subnetmask,defaultgateway,DNS,etc.)
3. IfmPBXisconnectedtoADSLadapterdirectly,pleaseselect“PPPoE”optionandentertheADSLuser
nameandpassword.
LANSettings
Click“NetworkSettings”‐>”LANSettings”ontheleftmenubarofthewebconfigurationinterface.LAN
portisusedfortheinteroperabilityofIPterminalsandmPBX.IftheLANportisconnectedtothe
company’sLAN,pleaseconfigurethecorrectIPaddressandcorrespondingsubnetmask.
PleasenotethatafterchangingtheIPaddressofLANport,mPBXshouldberebootedtomakethenew
changestakeeffect.
4.4ExtensionsSetupandmanagement
mPBXhasalreadysetup6extensionsbydefaultswhichareextension”300‐305”.Thepasswordis“pincode+
extensionnumber”.It’suptotheusertousethesedefaultextensionsdirectlyorafterchangingthepassword.
Ofcourse,theycouldbedeleted.
Theadmincouldadd,editordeletetheextensionsviatheWebConfigurationPanel.
Inthe“Extensions”page,thereare“AddExtension”,“AddBulkExtensions”,“DeletetheSelectedExtension”
and“EditExtension”(configurethefeaturessuchascallforwardingandvoicemail)subpages,etc.
4.5ConfiguringTerminals
mPBXcouldbeconnectedwithSIP‐basedaudioandvideoIPterminaldevices(e.g.IPPhone,voicegateway,

andsoftterminal,etc.).Thestepsofconfiguringterminalsareasbelow:
Step1:MakesuretheIPterminalandmPBXareinterconnected
Step2:EntertheIPaddressofmPBXwhenconfiguring“SIPserver”,“Proxyserver”,or“Registrationserver”
oftheIPterminals,andthedefaultSIPUDPportis5060.
Step3:Entertheaccountregistrationinformationwiththe“extensionnumber/password”ofthedefaultor
newlysetupextensionsofmPBX.

Step4:ReboottheIPterminalafterconfiguration,andclick“StatusMonitor”‐>”LineStatus”onthemenubar
ofmPBXwebconfigurationinterfacetocheckifithasregisteredsuccessfullytomPBX.
4.6Making/Receivingcalls
Note:ThemPBXdefaultsettingsaresufficienttomakephonecalls.Itisnotnecessarytomakeanychanges
unlesstheuserwantstocreatenewextensionsortrunks.RefertoAdministrator’sGuideformore.
1. Internalcallsbetweenextensions
IftwoIPterminalshaveregisteredtomPBXsuccessfully,theusercouldmakecallsbetweenextensions
justbydialingtheother’sextensionnumber.
2. Outboundcalls
Firstly,pleaseconnectaPSTNlinetothefirstFXOport.Thenthedefaultextensionsareabletomake
outboundcallsviathistrunkbysimplydialing“9+phonenumber+#”.The“#”isKeyasSend.
Note:Thedialpatternofthedefaultoutboundrouteis“9.”.Butiftheuserhaschangedit,pleasedialthe
newprefixinsteadofthedigit“9”whenmakingoutboundcalls.
3. Inboundcalls
WhentheusercallsthetrunknumberofthePSTNline,mPBXwouldroutethecalltoIVR(the“welcome”
prompt)bydefault.Thentheusercandialtheextensionnumberfollowingtheprompt.
4.7ResettoFactoryDefaults
IfyouforgetthenewIPaddressorthepasswordofadmin,orinothercasesthatyouwouldliketorestore
thefactorydefaults,pleaseresetthedevicefollowingthebelowinstructions:
Pleasepressthe“RESET”buttonlocatedinthebackpanelwithapapercliporapenciltip,thenyoucansee
alloftheLEDindicatorsinthefrontpanelwouldallturnredfirstandturnorangesecondslater.Whenthe
indicatorlightbecomesorange,thebuttoncouldbereleasedandsystembeginstoreset.Duringtheprocess,
pleasedonotpoweroffuntiltheLEDindicatorsbecomenormalwhichmeanstheresetprocessiscompleted.
Note:Afterresetting,alltheconfigurationsmadebytheadminwouldbeerased.
